What an excellent home base for exploring the interior of Belize! Easy access to Belize Zoo, ArtBox, and Guanacaste National Park, and only an hour from San Ignacio/Xunantunich. Daniel’s place is in a controlled-access neighborhood and felt very safe, considering we were 5 women traveling on our own. Beautiful home, well stocked and with amenities like a water dispenser on the fridge and a dishwasher. The pool was cleaned the evening we got there and felt so good after a day of exploring. There are some large dogs in the area that may wander into the yard but they didn’t bother us. We saw toucans and hummingbirds right from the yard. Highly recommend!

In a quiet corner of Caye Caulker. House is impeccable, yard is amazing and hosts are great. For the first timers, the trash leading up to the house may be off putting. It’s rough, but very humble, quiet, and friendly surroundings. Don’t worry about it. Water access is great. Having a set of bikes literally made the place worth 10 times as much. Kayaks were great too. The entire island is less than a 5 minute bike ride in any direction. We ran the bikes all over the place like it was home. I’d come back 1000 times. Family wants to move there..

We absolutely loved our stay here! It is even better than the photos. So private and spotlessly clean. The beach club and start of the Placencia boardwalk is about 0.4 miles walk across a not busy road and after having that separation, I wouldn’t want to be closer to it. We absolutely loved our pool and our snorkel tour guide was able to pick us up right outside our door in his boat! We had everything we needed, even the water is filtered and you can drink it right out of the tap. I would love to stay here again and Bonnie is an amazing host with lots of great recommendations and so easy to get ahold of for any questions. Thanks so much for sharing your space! I hope we can return again soon!

Las Haciendas was everything our group could have imagined and more. We rented all six Villas, so our group of 13 each had our own space. The villas were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Leda arranged transportation to the villa, excursions, transportation to dinners and anything else we needed! She had wonderful recommendations as well. She was very quick to respond before the trip, as well as while we were there. We were greeted with cool towels and all our luggage was taken care of the minute we got there until leaving the last day. The water coolers were a great perk and the plunge pools allowed us to chill after a long excursion day. It was walkable to Cachal Ruins as an extra afternoon trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Las Haciendas for your group stay while in San Ignacio!!!

We had a great stay at Terry’s place! The welcome drinks and snacks were a nice touch! We had plenty of space for three couples. We loved the refreshing pool after a hot day of exploring. Terry was a great communicator and because she also owns a tour company had great suggestions for us. We would definitely stay again!

Casa Redonda was awesome! The golf cart ride into town is around 30 minutes, but the south part of the island was beautiful. The house had games, a pool, and a dock we walked out to every morning. It was perfect for our family trip! Barbara was so helpful during the entire planning process and answered all of my questions very promptly. Brian and Cynthia were the on-site caretakers and we're so helpful and nice. Brian even cut coconuts for us daily so we could have some coconut water. the house was everything you needed and it was great having the housekeeping service there each day. Thank you for a very enjoyable and memorable stay at Casa Redonda, looking forward to our return!

Great spot, the pool was lovely and the condo was equipped with everything we needed in a party of 4 with two teens!

Karen's home in Sittee Point was a fantastic spot for my family to have down time at the beginning and end of our days. Very well located just outside of Hopkins, close enough to drive into town for meals or activity but far enough away from the main town to give us some quiet

I really can't say enough good things about this place. check in was easy, it was clean, great beds, great shower, well equipped kitchen. the beach! feels very private while located on a very walkable stretch. clear water with a sandbar out front. great snorkeling right in front with lots of sea life to watch. very shallow for a long way out. well maintained each day. lovely porches to sit on and enjoy the ocean, even in the rain. fans, air conditioners. close to many restaurants and activities but nestled and quiet. it was perfect for me and my husband and two adult children with their partners. probably not great for young families but so great for us. the hosts are lovely and very helpful and responsive. highly recommend.

Our family had a great stay at Vanilla Hills. Claudia was so helpful in booking excursions and transportation. We didn’t rent a car and found it easy to get taxis to and from the resort into town. The restaurant was amazing and the staff was very accommodating with our 5 year old daughters special menu requests. We loved the tranquility and would definitely stay here again if we return to San Ignacio.

Adela's place was beautiful and clean. It had all the basics we needed. Highly recommend this home.

We are a family of 5 and recently stayed at La Vida Belize. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The plunge pool, beach and dock were the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure. We enjoyed being in a quieter area and didn’t mind the distance from the main area of Placencia. We rented a car and explored several areas in Belize during our stay. We used the guestbook for tips about the area and places to eat near Maya Beach. The grounds keepers were friendly and kept everything nice for us during our stay. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. During our week stay, some of the activities we were able to do included: snorkling with Captain Jak’s, visit the Bocawina Nation Park & Zip-line Adventure, fishing, a Monkey River tour and visit some Mayan Ruins. We also spent a good amount of time relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool. We recommend staying here.

Very convenient location. And the well appointed house made for a comfortable stay for our group. We had three athletes and one couple on this trip and the house fit us all well with room to spread out. All four of the rooms had comfortable beds, cold ACs, and they supplied ample towels, pillows, and blankets. Nice big kitchen. Space to eat and lounge. The front and back veranda where lovely. And the washer and dryer was a plus. We will save this spot for future visits. Wonderful house and host.

Ricky’s place was absolutely perfect for my boyfriend and I. It has everything needed for your stay stocked and is located in a private location very close to the airport. It’s about a 20 minute walk into the main part of the island but that wasn’t an issue for us at all. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve stayed in and opening the shutters at night for the cool ocean breeze was so nice. Also I recommend eating at chef RPs right outside the gate, his food is amazing! I’ll be staying here again when I return.

The house was an oasis in the city! We saw so many Belize animals (coatimundi, gibnut, a huge iguana and tons of birds) right from the porch. The house was spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay and extras like beach towels for tours. The location was amazing...within walking distance to Cahal Pech ruins and San Ignacio Resort (which has a ton of animal tours) and many restuarants. All the locals were amazingly friendly to us when we were walking around the neighborhood! We got lost trying to find Cahal Pech and some locals led us there and gave an amazing tour of their own free will. Such a great place to visit!!

Micheal’s place is so quiet and peaceful. I will definitely recommend and I will be back to enjoy the pool and quiet vibe.

This is such a wonderful place! Lucrecia was lovely, friendly and helpful with recommendations. The location was very peaceful and quiet with a stunning view. The house was really clean and comfortable. We didn't use the air con, as in many other reviews, just kept the windows open for the breeze and it was lovely. The coffee machine and 25 litre water bottle were life savers. The kitchen, though smallish, was well equipped and if we needed anything that was missing Lucrecia was swift to assist! The bathroom is huge. Highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere akin to paradise. :)

Just the perfect location in Placencia. Right on the sidewalk and close to restaurants and shops - but not too close. Walking distance to a grocery store, pharmacy and most importantly a fabulous bakery (you just have to try Angels). Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and linens and a well equipped kitchen. Even had a coffee grinder! The beach is just steps away and we were able to swim a mile up and down the bay each morning. Highly recommend!

Sherilyn’s place was fantastic! We rented the extra apartment on the first floor and stayed with our 2 year old and 4 month old down there and 2 other couples upstairs. Great setup for parents to put kids to bed downstairs and make lots of noise upstairs without waking kids in apartment. We walked everywhere but roads require stable stroller. You can take a golf cart taxi any time also, Sharilyn provided a card on bulletin board. Pool has great shade for beginning and end of day and full sun mid-day. Also fantastic for kids. The couples we stayed with that didn’t have kids had an amazing time and so did we. Place is quiet at night and walkable to nightlife. I walked to the Split in 20 min. If taking a plane, airport is a few hundred yards down the road (though we never heard plan noise). WiFi is strong. Grocery store just down the road for some basics, but better ones in town. Overall definitely recommend her place! You’ll have a hard time leaving!

We stayed at this Airbnb for a wedding nearby, and it was the perfect choice. The location was super convenient, just a short drive from the venue, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. The area was calm and peaceful, making it a great place to unwind. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!
