I brought my mom and we enjoyed our stay here! We’re big nature lovers and spent our downtime relaxing and watching wildlife from our veranda, which is what we booked this spot for. There are agoutis, birds, and iguanas all over here! Theo was super welcoming and helpful from the start. She checked in with us and everyone everyday to help make sure everyone’s activity plans are all properly set up. We signed up for dinner on our first night. It was filling, delicious, and healthy. It was also nice to chat with other guests staying there as well and to see what they had planned for the next day. The property is really peaceful and quiet during the day. We loved the dogs. In the afternoons/evenings, you might hear the sound of light traffic across the river and/or the church playing music. Ultimately, Parrot Nest is well worth the money. It’s affordable, you are situated in a little forest haven not too far from town, and Theo goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing.

We had a great stay at Calico Jacks. The staff was so kind and helpful with everything from food to activity recommendations. The room, restaurant, pool and grounds space were clean and the A/C works great after a day of hiking. The location is great for visiting San Ignacio, Xunantunich, Mountain Pine Ridge, and the small villages of San Antonio and Cristo Rey.

Marcela exhibited remarkable hospitality. Furthermore, she extends that warmth not only towards me as a host but also to other guests. Additionally, her friendliness, warm welcome, and readiness to assist in finding excursions and restaurants was truly exceptional. Moreover, the accommodations were beautiful, lush vegetation, a pool, comfortable beds and plenty of free drinks offered. Marcela’s place is truly an oasis that we will gladly return to.

We spent 2 wonderful nights at Parrots Nest. Our cabin was nestled right in the jungle, we fell asleep listening to the sounds of animals and birds. We felt right at home with the other travellers in the common areas. Theo and Marcus were friendly, welcoming and very willing to share their in depth local knowledge and recommendations. There is lots to do in the area, I wish we could have stayed longer! highly recommend, 10/10

This was truly an oasis in the middle of the jungle. The staff was super friendly and would hang out with us. They were extremely accommodating and provided recommendations for places to go and things to see. We were in the area mainly for birdwatching, but we talked about other animals out in nature. We definitely want to come back again.

Alisa is een leuke en lieve vrouw. Wil met alles helpen. Wijst je mooie zwemplekken in de rivier. Waar je de lekkerste ijsjes kunt kopen en regelt een chocolade tour voor je. De Maya tempel Lubaantun is op loopafstand en zeker een bezoek waard. Er is geen gelegenheid om zelf te koken maar Alisa of haar dochters koken met alle liefde een heerlijke maaltijd die je gezellig met hun op eet. Na een ongeluk moesten we met spoed naar een arts. Alisa stelde me gerust en sprong meteen met ons in de auto. Gelukkig werden we snel en goed geholpen. Ook toen we al weer vertrokken waren informeerde Alisa nogmaals of het nog goed gaat. Heel fijn

Our time at Parrot’s Nest was a real highlight of our time in Belize. The place we rented was exactly as described, and very clean. It was closer to town and places to eat than expected, but was fairly quiet and felt quite secluded. Theo and Markus were wonderful hosts - welcoming, easy to chat with and gave great recommendations for food and activities. Our kids loved hanging out in the common area, playing games and eating the delicious breakfasts, but the best part was tubing down the river. Holly, the dog, guided us for our floats back to the lodge and just loved on our boys. Hearing and seeing the howler monkeys on our last morning just topped off a beautiful stay.

Nous avons adoré notre court à Yuma’s. L’environnement est splendide, offrant un cadre paisible. Le logement est d’une propreté impeccable. Le service est digne d’un hôtel haut de gamme : serviettes de toilette et de piscine fournies, cotons-tiges et disques démaquillants à disposition dans la salle de bain, ainsi qu’un petit chariot pratique pour transporter les bagages. Nous avons eu le plaisir de prendre notre petit déjeuner sur place, servi directement à notre bungalow. Les bagels aux œufs étaient particulièrement savoureux. Une expérience que je recommande sans hésitation !

Beautiful space and serene surroundings. I had a last minute reservation for a civil wedding with a few family members, the hosts was so accommodating and wanted to make sure things were perfect for my special day. The patio was more than enough for what we needed it for, super grateful that we were given options on a space to hold a short ceremony. I would come back and stay for a few days, such a peaceful space. Also loved the cows!!
