Very peaceful stay!

Beautiful place! Was a great small size even with a small toddler; her pack and play fit with plenty of space for two dog beds also in the bedroom!

Susan’s home was immaculate - the house was even more beautiful and more private than the pictures — truly a mountain escape! We had a little difficulty with the garage code upon arrival, but Susan was immediately available and helped us get right into the house. We were thrilled with the quiet privacy, beautiful mountain surroundings, and the gorgeous interior. We loved the ability to run the wood stove on the colder nights (it even snowed the first evening we were there), the hot tub overlooking a rocky outcrop, and the pool table downstairs. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and more. Berkeley Springs was a little further than I initially anticipated, but getting there was an easy drive down a main road. Susan helped us with recommendations for things to do, since the weather didn’t cooperate with our original plans to hike. Be aware that the road to the house is a long mountain road and a little rough in the winter.

Fern Haven was an amazing stay! Spotless, cozy, & the upstairs suite is just wow! The hot tub worked & was so nice to relax in during the chilly evenings. Being on the deck & hearing the river flowing was the best! The path down to the river is steep, but stone steps & hand railings made it easy for us to get there. There are some large boulders along the water's edge that were perfect for sitting on and enjoying the scenery. The fluted rock formation just downriver was spectacular! We brought binoculars & had fun spotting the birds soaring around the area. Our favorites were the two Pileated Woodpeckers chasing each other around & playing. This would be a great float trip in the warmer seasons, & we definitely plan on returning to do that! We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings, & the large yard area was great for setting up our yard games like cornhole toss. We only needed to reach out to the host Jim before arrival, but he was prompt in responses and friendly! We loved it here!!

Our family really enjoyed our stay! Steps away from snow tubing and the restaurant. Spacious, clean home with all the amenities of home! Definitely coming back!

The house was very attractive and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The mattresses were soft, and we slept well. The screened porch had heat lamps which were a nice touch on the chilly mornings. We enjoyed our stay very much and will likely come again! The only issue we had was the hot tub was not clean, but the owners were communicative about it and apologized when we brought the issue to their attention. Overall very good experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Laura's. The house is spacious and a short drive to Harper's Ferry and Charles Town. Recommended!

A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

This was our first time in Harpers Ferry. Deans place was absolutely awesome and cozy. The house is small, but very inviting and cute. We loved the decoration and and the big fireplace. Everything was like described and super petfriendly. The Gayte House is within walking distance to all attractions, nice restaurants, and beautiful nature. We would stay anytime again.

The Gibson House lived up to its superb ratings. Upon our arrival, two beautiful horses in the nearby paddock came over to the fence to greet us. The house was spacious with a large well-equipped kitchen and comfortable seating areas. Wonderful sunlight through the plentiful windows and views of the horse farm and woodlands. The garage was convenient for unloading and loading the car. Even during a very cold stretch of winter weather, we enjoyed walking the woodland trails behind the house and driving (10 minutes) to charming, downtown Middleburg for window shopping and dining at restaurants like the King Street Oyster Bar and the Salamander Resort’s Harriman’s Grill. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay.

My husband, dog, and I had a great time! We stayed for two nights on the weekend. The place is definitely not easy to find on your own but Tara gave great instructions! We did have a truck, so it was easier to navigate up the hill in the snow, but for others, I would keep that in mind. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything you'd want, a hot pot stove, coffee machine, coffee, and a toaster oven. And the bed was really comfortable. 12 minute drive into Harper's Ferry, and walking distance to the closest C&O trail. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful place to relax and unwind. Huge yard to enjoy many yard games and large fire pit area. This was our second time staying here and its for a good reason. The house is great with many levels and deck space. Our favorite part is the floating deck on the water. We enjoyed fishing, getting our feet wet and tubing.

What a perfect location for a quiet personal retreat! Being able to walk in the woods by the creek right on the property was amazing. There was even a hammock a ways down the path in the middle of the trees! Heavenly.

Stayed at Mark’s home for a few days while day hiking the AT. He promptly answered all my questions and recommended places to eat locally. Check in/out was super easy and the home is as advertised. Great place!

Staying at Villa Maud was a dream! Beautiful property and surroundings. Maud was a friendly and gracious host and we absolutely loved being by the pool and watching the sunset from the little patio. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for my little get-away. Can't wait to return!

We came this weekend for a snow tubing trip to River Riders. There were 5 adults, 5 kids and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all! The fenced in backyard was perfect and everyone enjoyed the hot tub, even in the freezing temps. The old house is super cute and has some unique qualities. It was clean, plenty of towels and everything needed in the kitchen to cook breakfast, lunches and dinners! No issues were encountered at all and we will be back in the Spring for river tubing! Highly recommended.

The place was charming, well stocked and very comfortable. The communication was great and we would definitely rent again.

Very comfortable home. Well laid out for many to enjoy together but still have private time. Kitchen exceptionally equipped.

House was perfect for a large group and very clean when we arrived. There were all the necessary pans, pots, silverware, etc. for cooking for meals in the house. The host (Amber) was quick to communicate and adjust to audibles/questions from our end. Great stay for a large group. Would highly recommend.

Incredibly grateful for this home and for the KOA next to it! We knew we were booking a home with lots of bedrooms a hot tub (the most important things!) but we had no idea it offered so much more. A working fireplace when we got snowed in, a KOA with plenty of activities literally next door, a stunning walking path that we took through the snow when we got snowed in, and an incredibly kind crew who helped us get our cars un-stuck. If I had to be anywhere during a snowstorm, it would be here. And if I had any questions, the KOA was there next door to answer them. Super easy. We were walking distance to tubing, a six minute drive from historic downtown. We just have to come back when the weather is nicer to take advantage of the mini golf!
