My stay at White Gum House was truly memorable. The serene surroundings, stunning views, and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. The house was beautifully maintained, cozy, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Ainslie and Dan's place is outstanding in every way. It is very comfortable, beautifully furnished and well-equiped for self-catering. The bedrooms and living areas are spacious. The upstairs living room has a balcony with a view of Lake Macquarie where you can watch lovely sunrises. The availability of a double garage was super helpful as we have elderly parents and this meant that they were able to enter the house on the flat. The area is quiet and the lake is a short walk down a short but steep hill which presents no problem for those who are fit. Toronto is just a few minutes drive or about a 10 minute walk where there are lovely coffee shops. I highly recommend Ainslie and Dan's place. We had a wonderful stay.

This was place absolutely beautiful! Easily one of the best Airbnbs I have stayed at in Sydney, and for the price it's unbelievable what you get. The house itself amazing with the additional of the backyard the leads on to the jetty I was incredibly happy for the weekend we spent there. Highly recommend, and the Freya was very helpful and kind, we could not have asked for a better host!

We loved our stay, well laid out house with fantastic amenities in a stunning location. So much to keep you occupied, you don’t need to leave the house.

Our holiday at Helen's lakeside property was absolutely fantastic! The location could not have been more perfect, right in front of a serene lake with picture-perfect scenery. The view from the property was breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. The spacious outdoor deck allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty around us, whether we were having meals, playing games, or simply soaking in the view. Inside, the house was just as impressive—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that Helen has taken great care in maintaining the property, and it made our family feel right at home. What made this holiday even more special was the fact that it was a multi-generational trip with our children and grandchildren. Peaceful, homely and unique stay. Our son and dog absolutely loved the place and it’s a great place to escape the busyness of life and reconnect with nature and each other. Tessa was quick and friendly and the check in process was simple. It’s a lovely area and community and the church is unique and fully equipped to cater perfectly to families, couples and pets :) we will be back! Thank you Tessa and family x

We had a lovely time at Stephanie's cottage. It was very peaceful on her property and feeding the horses was an absolute highlight for us and the kids! Although the cottage is right next door, it still felt very private. Stephanie was a great host! I would highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a peaceful, rustic stay.

We had an amazing stay! The place was fantastic – clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Kate was incredibly responsive and friendly, making everything super easy. The jetty was a highlight, with plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!

My wife and I had a great time. The highlight was the waterfront view. Spent a good deal of time reading on deck overlooking Lake Macquarie—so good! And kayaks were a nice bonus. A few things to consider: if you like running, you may need to drive 5-15mins to a good running spot nearby (I really enjoyed driving to Speers Point and running there). Also—the cottage is essentially one big room (plus a laundry and bathroom), so it can be tricky for one person to go to sleep while the other stays up. Overall though we had a fantastic time—would recommend!

We highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with amazing views to bond with family and friends! Our stay at this cozy home was wonderful. The views were stunning, with the lake, pelicans, ducks and birds all creating a relaxing atmosphere. The large, private backyard was ideal for family bonding, picnics, and fishing! We travelled with our 11month old & it was a great way for our little one to absorb the scenery & utilise the sunroom Pavla and Paul were incredibly accommodating hosts, allowing last-minute adjustments to our plans and making us feel right at home. It's the little details that count, and having hosts who genuinely care about your experience truly enhances the holiday. It was a memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return again!

4 days at Captains Cabin was so relaxing. We went kyacking around the island & to Lovetts. Fished off the jetty & caught so many different types of fish. Flathead, Snapper, Brim, Flounder, Whiting... Scotland Island is full of lovely alternate locals wandering by & wildlife.

Great Stay! Had a really enjoyable time here. The place was clean, private, and exactly as described. It felt like a peaceful escape with everything we needed. The host was super friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. Would definitely recommend and come back!

A lovely cabin with everything you need. It was beautifully decorated and very peaceful. we had a great stay.

A fantastic stay in a rustic cabin. Mackerel Beach is a stunning spot, and this cabin makes the most of it with an incredible upper deck offering breathtaking views—not to mention what might be the best outdoor shower I’ve ever experienced! The perfect escape from the city to unwind and explore the simple things — cooking, bush trails, walks and swimming. We took our two young boys who loved it (they were also absolutely fine making the journey up to the cabin).

The Cabin was so comfortable and in a great location. Liz and Larry have the place set up with everything you could need. I wish we had been able to stay longer!!

We had a lovely stay at Astrid’s riverside cabin. It was a lovely, secluded weekend away. We enjoyed kayaking on the river and Col who did the boat transfers for us was fantastic as well. Would highly recommend as a couples getaway.

great views and very peaceful , we loved our stay here , the only things we'd improve would be the shower which took ages to get the water warm and little pressure with only a shower curtain which didn't really stop water covering the bathroom floor , the other would be a longer jetty because when the tides out your literally stuck in the mud and unable to leave the property for 4- 6 hours depending on the tide height. Despite these issues we'd definitely stay again and Nicky was a great host .
