Had a wonderful stay in this historic cottage. I can't say enough about the peaceful charm of this neighborhood. Great walking around the neighborhood and nearby park. So much nature and history in the area. The location was also ideal as it was a short drive to downtown and a 10 min drive to Mercer University. The house was charming and full of character. There is a learning curve with any house - getting used to tricky lock the back door, knobs on the stove, etc. but you figure it out. We used the kitchen quite a bit during our stay and appreciated all of the pretty dishes, glasses and silverware. It actually felt like we were staying at friend's home. My (adult) kids really enjoyed sleeping in the room with the 2 double beds. We look forward to returning soon!

My family and I were just stopping in Macon for a night on our way to Florida, and it was a perfect place for us! Just the right amount of space, super clean, bathrooms were pristine, beds were super comfy, and the towels were really soft. We felt perfectly at home and would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay. Beautiful property with so much character and space all within easy walking distance of downtown. Private parking was a bonus !!

We are very thankful to have stayed at Doug's place. We found the place with ease, it was clean and very spacious. The place had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The yard was beautiful and very peaceful. It felt quiet and private! We had our children with us and Doug never complained of the kids being too loud, in fact he said he loved hearing their playful voices. Doug and his wife were very accommodating and always very quick to respond. Thank you for a great stay. Highly recommend it if you are staying in Macon.

Most enjoyable stay, more than sufficient room to spread out enjoy the wonderful home. Beautiful kitchen, well stocked and loved all the wonderful appliances, especially the ice maker, a first for me in an Airbnb rental. The time went by quickly and we very much enjoyed our stay. This property was probably the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. We even accidentally left an item and he called to let us know so we could come back and pick it up. Plenty of room and nicely remodeled historic home. Rent it. You will not regret it.
