We had a fantastic stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the river access was a highlight. There were plenty of options to play in the water, and the soothing sound of the river at night made for a peaceful and relaxing experience. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed—from a fully stocked kitchen to a comfortable shower. The mattress and pillows were exceptionally cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway!

El lugar nos pareció excelente, las fotos son muy precisas con respecto al lugar. La zona muy bonita, tranquila, cerca del centro de La Fortuna, ademas la relación precio-calidad perfecto. Volvería sin pensarlo.

We really enjoyed our stay in La Fortuna!! The Airbnb was not too far from any of the activities we wanted to do. The backyard is incredible and amazing to use the pool after a warm day exploring. The main area of the house is warm, but each bedroom has an air conditioner which definitely helps. The activities we enjoyed were the Mistico hanging bridges, zip lining ($56 for 11 lines from Hotel Paraiso), El Salto rope swing (free), Sloth tour ($60 with Callidryas tours), and La Fortuna waterfall. All were very fun and worth it! For eating our top choices were Kenko and Soda Tita Rosa!! We have 3 kids with us and we all agree this has been one of our best trips! Thanks for letting us stay!!

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect. The location was stunning, with incredible views of the lake and volcano. The place was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The host was great—super responsive and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly and answered all our questions. It was also just a short drive to the lake, perfect for swimming and exploring. Overall, an amazing stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views and a great host, this is the place!

We stayed at Erick's home for 2 nights. We were traveling with my parents and our 2 boys. The home was great for all generations. The layout and design was smart and comfortable. It is very easy access into Fortuna and all the attractions nearby. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! Looks just like the photos and Leslye was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The property is down a a flat rocky road. Great proximity to town and attractions. Would stay again!

I hardly know where to start! We spent 4 phenomenal nights at Sandra's ranch as a family of 6 ranging in age from 6 to 82 years old (myself, husband, mother in law, and our 3 kids), and it exceeded our expectations. It's off the beaten path and unique in the best possible way. The views took our breath away! Rooms are very clean and comfy. We slept well every night after the many amazing activities we took part in on the ranch with Ronald. Sandra was so welcoming, engaging, and had great suggestions on how to maximize our time there. The meals were delicious - my kids enjoyed everything, and they're a bit picky! Demaris was a wonder in the kitchen, and always greeted us with a smile. We celebrated my husband's birthday there, and Sandra arranged a yummy cake! On our final night, we all played Spanish Bingo and had so many laughs. My kids didn't want to leave, and there were tears and hugs when we had to go. A magical and unforgettable stay for anyone who loves nature!

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en este lugar. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos muchísimo de los días que pasamos aquí. El espacio es cómodo y acogedor, y la piscina fue un gran plus para todos. Además, el billar (pool) fue una excelente adición para la diversión en familia. ¡Sin duda, una experiencia increíble y nos encantaría volver!

Casa Colette is a lovely home just outside of La Fortuna. It has everything you will need during your stay. The place is bright and clean, the kitchen is well stocked. There is now a couch in the living area which is greatly appreciated. There is a large TV on the wall in the bedroom with Netflix and comfortable queen bed. We appreciated the walk-in shower with rain shower head. There is a grocery store and local restaurants within a few minutes walk and a 1.8KM walk to main La Fortuna area. Communication was amazing, we had difficulty finding the house and our host was immediately on hand to make sure we arrived without issue. We felt very safe walking around the area and enjoyed seeing the view of Arenal throughout our stay.

Nous étions une famille de 5 avec 3 ados! La maison était impeccable! L’accueil facile avec en plus en surprise des bons fruits. Tout était proche en voiture. Belle vue sur le volcan. On recommande fortement!!!

Such a beautiful property- the pictures do not do it justice. Peaceful and full of nature- we saw 2 types of monkeys, various birds, capiberas. Marco and Leticia were so friendly and welcoming. Wish we were still there!

Awesome place to stay wether looking for a relaxing get away or something near enough for things to do, this is the place. Peaceful serene setting, ( though roosters may give an early wake up call) with many options nearby to explore when the need to be active arises. A car to get around is a must and Jim has great options! Don't miss the home made breakfasts delivered right to your door, fresh, healthy and so good. Jim's is a great stay while visiting anywhere near Lake Arenal.

La casa está preciosa, súper tranquilo los alrededores y las plantas le daban una privacidad excelente! Estaba escondida y nadie molestaba. Lastimosamente la calle se entrada si estaba bastante deteriorada pero eso no opaca la maravillosa paz de lugar y la casa tan preciosa con su perfecta piscina. El clima nos ayudó también para que tuviéramos un descanso y relajación que necesitabamos. Sin duda alguna volveremos!

Host was great, easy, accommodating. Place was clean, pleasant , comfortable. Easy to find, close to town, pretty setting. We enjoyed our stay, highly recommended!

Belle vue sur le volcan Arenal. Gentillesse de l’hôte et informations claires. Le logement a déjà plusieurs années et davantage d’ustensiles pour cuisiner (tasses, couverts pour tout le monde) seraient bienvenus. Ceci dit, un bon rapport qualité-prix proche de nombreuses activités.

This was an incredible Airbnb experience. The views from the property were breathtaking especially at sunset. Situated outside the town in a quiet and beautiful location. The property is really excellent, clean with plenty of room. The hosts were lovely people, friendly, attentive and kind. I cannot recommend this place enough, outstanding!

A nice place, clean, away from the town center. Safe. A walk down the street will take you right into nature and all the beautiful butterflies you can imagine! You will need transportation to La Fortuna center, but if you purchase tours, some will accommodate you with transportation if you ask. As private as the location is, expect to hear from a few neighborhood dogs. This was mentioned in another comment and is true: motor bikes in the neighborhood seem to set them off (barking). But it’s not unmanageable. The unit was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. The kitchen lacked a few appliances and perhaps some resources, but was clean and updated. The shower was a nice touch. Half of it led to an open roof which gave a sense of connection to the outside.

Já é a segunda vez que ficamos nas casas da Yania, e com certeza estaremos outras vezes no futuro. Ela é muito simpática, trabalhadora, e não mediu esforços pra gente se sentir à vontade. Super recomendo!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour chez Ana. Le logement que nous a proposé Ana était une maisonnette avec une chambre en mezzanine confortable et accueillante. Nous avions tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et la salle de bain était grande. Le jardin de la propriété est également très joli avec tout plein de fleurs et d'animaux. Depuis le ponton la vue sur les collines est très appréciable. Ana nous a donné plein de bons conseils et surtout grâce à elle nous avons pu observer notre tout premier paresseux de notre voyage et nous lui en sommes très reconnaissant. Ana est très gentille et accueillante. Ana et son mari sont également très réactifs. En effet, une ampoule a grillé dans la salle de bain et ils sont arrivés en 10 minutes pour la changer. Nous recommandons grandement ce logement et encore mille mercis à Ana

We just got back from 8 days throughout Costa Rica and Agutipaca Bungalows was our last stop. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay here longer. We truly felt like a welcomed guest on their well loved property. We were greeted and offered a nature walk by Angie. We saw more on this walk than we did with our paid guides. Her knowledge was amazing, and her excitement to share it with us was so genuine. We saw sloths, sleeping kinkajous, and toucans. The owners also showed us aspects of their property, the different fruit trees, flowers, and birds Our bungalow was immaculate. Plenty of room, and all necessary utensils. Loved the view and hammock. The bathroom and table had beautiful fresh flowers from the garden. They provided coffee, milk, and deliver a delicious fresh made breakfast (fresh juice, fruit, and a main) to your room. The grounds were beautiful, with trails along the river, a garden, fruit trees and even Ceiba tree. We loved our stay and are already planning returning!
