Great clean place. Looks exactly like the pictures, excellent location and extremely close to the beach. Cottage is very clean and well maintained. Pool was also very clean and the grounds are clean. Easy to find, would absolutely stay again. Only tiny issue is hot tub would only heat to 89 even when set higher. The washer and dryer are a major perk when traveling for a lot of days as a family. Thanks for a great stay!!

Let’s just say the pictures really don’t justify how beautiful this home is !! Super clean & wonderful!! Also bigger than it looks. the property will blow your mind! pool, hot tub , & creek !! Definitely would stay again magnificent host .

We loved our stay. House is nice and clean, beds are comfy, kitchen has everything you need to cook meals and there is a nice charcoal grill in the backyard. Our family really enjoyed the ping pong table, heated pool and hot tub. We visited over the Thanksgiving holiday so the hot tub was especially nice in the chilly mornings and evenings. The backyard is so peaceful for reading and relaxing and there is plenty of nice seating around the pool and a couple pool tubes and rafts on the back porch. We had 2 who worked from the house and the wi fi worked great. The location can't be beat. We had a golf cart but you can really walk everywhere from this property. This was our 5th visit to Bay St. Louis and this property was our favorite. Hope to stay here again next visit.

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway at this location. The home has so many nice amenities and in a fabulous location. Loved all of the art in the home and it has upgraded appliances and is well furnished. It is very close to a railroad track and you can see and hear the train. The negative to that is the conductor blew the horn at 4 am which makes for an abrupt wake up alarm. Overall, the place is comfortable and has a lot of charm.

Loved Gulfport & Mermaid Cottage. Easy walk to water. Central to whole Gulf Coast. Cottage was very comfortable & homey. Neighborhood was quiet. Lynn was a great and very friendly host. We even enjoyed feeding Crystal the cat.

For our family of six plus our dog, this was a sweet place to stay for a long weekend at the beach. We were always able to find parking right at the beach, and the beach was not crowded at all. The beds in the house were comfortable and easily fit the six of us. The neighborhood was fun to take the dog on walks, and my husband and I enjoyed going for a run in the morning. We could easily make our meals, do laundry, and Janie communicated everything clearly!

We stayed there for a week during Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. It’s a great location easy to get around. I loved being so close to the beach and boardwalk. The cottage was perfect for a cozy beach week in the winter. I’m sure the area is a very busy in the summer but there were several things walking distance and easy drives to make the location convenient during busy season. The cottage is dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us. We will definitely be looking to rebook next year when making our plans.

An adoreable Creole cottage. Quiet, comfortable, and clean. We took our 2 dogs on vacation this year. They enjoyed the fenced in yard and walking on the dog friendly beach. ( that was 600 ft from front door) Great food and lots to see. Kathy was amazing from 1st contact. We enjoyed her hostess basket and 7 nights of blissful sleep. I highly recommend this home!

Cutest little cozy cottage! It was the perfect location and walking distance from everything! It Had a little backyard for our fur baby. We loved it and will be back if ever in town.

Can’t imagine a better place for a trip to Bay St. Louis. This place is perfectly located to get the most out of your trip. It’s a short walk to the middle of town or the beach. We were there for the golf cart parade which was literally around the corner. It’s also a super cozy and comfortable house. The back house was perfect for the 4 teenagers we had with us. We also rented the golf cart which was well worth it. Lesley was the most engaged and responsive host I’ve ever had. We hope to book this home again when we return this summer.

Wonderful little place. Super clean and well kept. There were turtles in the backyard every morning to hang out with. The hosts were always easy to reach. The house was just right for the weekend stay. If you’re planning on going to Gulfport, Long Beach area this is your spot to stay. Definitely worth the price.

We came down for the weekend and stayed for 2 nights. The house is super clean and nice. It was also very interesting to read about the house's history. Everything was well kept and well stocked. I would definitely stay again! My favorite part was the gated driveway. It was nice to know my vehicle was secure on the property.

Danny and Don were the best hosts I’ve ever had on Airbnb. This place is immaculate. We had many great chats with them about local restaurants and of course, about their beautiful plants. We will definitely be back to stay here. It was so nice getting to know y’all!!

My wife and I stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The home was beautiful! And very easy to gain access to with the instructions that Teri provided. It was so clean and comfortable, and very close to everything we wanted to visit. Although most of our time was spent away from home, we found it very comfortable and easy to relax into once we were there. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to visit the Gulf Coast region, and my only wish was that we could’ve stayed longer!

This was a very very nice trip and the cottage was absolutely amazing, nice and cozy and very warming. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that plans on going to Gulfport for a visit.

This was our first visit to Mississippi, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The cottage is adorable and such a comfortable space. And the bed was amazing... very comfy bedding and pillows! We did a lot of walking, biking, and exploring in BSL and the neighboring towns. It is a beautiful area and the beach is incredible. We walked downtown a couple times a day for coffee or afternoon drinks. We were so lucky to be able to walk to the mardi gras parades going on in BSL...so fun! This was a wonderful place to stay... thank you for your hospitality!

Not sure that I can adequately articulate what a wonderful time our family had celebrating Christmas 2024 at Mary Ellen & Bob's place! This historic home is absolutely beautiful and felt so warm and comfortable as soon as we walked in. So many beautiful pieces of furniture and the art work was amazing. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for all the meals we prepared, not to mention the beach chairs and bicycles that were provided and the golf cart available to rent. Loved the front porch, the screened in back porch, the pool area and the garden area where we were able to sit outside and have some of our meals. The home was just a few short blocks from the beach and not very far at all from The Depot and the downtown area but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful when we were at the house. And Mary Ellen was an amazing host! We definitely made memories for a lifetime! I could keep going but I am about to fun out of characters to type...
