Sean’s place was perfect for us. We loved walking around the lake with our dogs mid-morning and mid-afternoon(right across the street!) Great backyard for the pups and a large screened-in back porch to watch them from the rocking chairs. The house was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We hope to stay there again while visiting family in Black Mountain.

Great stay! House was beautiful and clean and everything you could need in the boat house! The only issue was the boat rental. Motor died and the replacement wasn’t near the equivalent of the original rental. Still worked out

This was our second time staying and we loved it just as much as the first time! We even got to see two deer right outside the deck in the morning. Definitely a great place to stay to support WNC.

What a great place. Brought the family for Thanksgiving. Plenty of room for everyone. Saw 4 bucks the day we arrived. We had fires, fished, played games and relaxed. Kitchen is very well stocked. Love the “second” kitchen. It sure helped with Thanksgiving. The whole house is. Thomas is a great host. Don’t hesitate to book. I bet it’s great in the summer.

The view of Lake James from this house is absolutely breathtaking whether from the upstairs deck or downstairs patio. Three of the seven bedrooms have lake views as well. The house was perfect for our crew of 14--although, with 3 of the bedrooms having twin beds, we did end up with at least 1 couple having to sleep apart. It's a beautiful home but there were a few bumps in the road. There's no table suited for more than 6 or 8 at a time for meals. The kitchen has a 48" range with 2 ovens but one of them did not work and the door on the other oven just dropped open without notice. The bar has a fridge and ice machine but the ice machine did not work. There was a sign on it saying there was ice in the kitchen freezer, but the kitchen freezer did not work either. It had a sign pointing you to a deep freezer on the screened porch. That one worked. Only 2 closets in the house available for use by guests. Small towels and none extra. HVAC took 12 hrs to cool. Still had a lovely time!

The property was super clean, cozy and in a great location. Beautiful views of the lake and a private backyard. Interior had all the essentials one might need. Linens were abundant and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were all upgraded and very nice. Quick drive to the market and a walk across the street for coffee, drinks and food. Also a quick drive to Chinmey Rock. Patrick, the host, was very responsive and always friendly. Definitely recommend. We will be staying here again!

Great location on Lake Lure. Quick access to the central part of the lake. Inside the house is on the small side but outdoor decks provide plenty of space to spread out. Everything you might need to enjoy your lake stay is provided, including the option for an on-site boat to rent. Parking is tight for larger vehicles - would suggest more compact size cars for easier maneuvering on street/parking area.

We had a great stay here! The amenities were wonderful! Our kids loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lots to do in this area! Jamie was super sweet and very responsive and helpful! She also makes great recommendations! We would definitely stay again!

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

We’ve been to Rumbling Bald multiple times and this has been my favorite residence of all! It’s easily accessible, has tons of space, and is well equipped. But the host and her proactiveness and accessibility are what make outstanding. We absolutely loved our time there and hope to make it back again sometime!

We felt very lucky to find this place in a pinch. Our other air bnb that we booked a month+ ago had frozen water pipes. Tamera responded very quickly to our panicked, last minute booking. The place is immaculate. We had everything we needed. We were grateful for our stay here.

Cute place for a getaway with 2-4 people. Beautiful deck, small kitchen with what you need for quick cooking, coffee on hand, bathroom nice with what you need, clean and tidy. Loved the convenience to everything to do in the area. Kids loved the pool! I loved the zip line just 15 mins up the road (not included but highly recommend). Very responsive and helpful host. Lake Lure and views are breathtaking.

Such a beautiful, spacious, and clean space with a peaceful lake view but still SUPER close to Asheville with tons of great restaurants, shopping, and activities close by. Can't stress enough how convenient the location is—we consistently found that we were just minutes from all of the places we wanted to visit. Check-in was easy, and Trish was so kind to show us exactly where to go when we arrived. Our hosts were so generous and proactive in making sure we were comfortable and happy. To top it off, the king bed is the comfiest bed ever! We had a great weekend and didn't want it to end. Check-out was also super easy and stress-free, which is a definite bonus for an AirBnB stay! 10/10 experience!

Adorable and spacious cottage with two private sleeping and sitting areas. Perfect for two couples! It was nice to come back to a quiet peaceful place after exploring the area during the day. Sitting on the back deck or in the screened room by the pond made us wish we had stayed longer. Jackie went over and above to make us feel comfortable including a cake for my husband's birthday and shipping a new golf bag to her for a surprise gift. We had an amazing stay at the lake house! The property was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The highlight of the stay was definitely the lake—perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The combination of a clean and comfortable home with the natural beauty of the lake made for a wonderful getaway.

The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

Can't say enough about my stay and how lovely Sarabeth was. The cottage was truly beautiful (the art work, design, furnishings). Every detail was thought of. It was the perfect getaway in stunning surroundings. Sarabeth and her family were so warm and responsive whenever I had questions. I felt truly welcome. It's a very special place and I can't wait to go back.

Great location with quick access to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Happy with our decision to book this cabin for the week.

Great location! While we did have some hiccups when we first got there ( she had a previous last minute stay and when we arrived it wasn't clean. She was very easy to get a hold of and came right away to clean) Melanie was super nice and the house was great for our quick get away. Walking distance to town and some beautiful hikes. We enjoyed our stay! The house had everything we needed.

The Five Oaks Cottage was just what we were looking for to celebrate Michele’s birthday. The cottage was very cozy and everything we needed, and nothing we didn’t need. David and Penny were very accommodating and responsive. There was a great boat house, canoe and kayak for our use, at no additional charge. We felt welcomed and right at home. We bought one of the children’s books David had written, and David signed it and personalized it for our granddaughter. Lake Lure is a magical lake, and we are looking forward to returning one day.
