Blacksburg : locations de vacances adaptées aux familles

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

Wonderful, clean, cozy place to stay for the weekend. Quiet and comfortable. Well stocked with everything needed. Looking forward to another stay here in a few weeks!

Shirleyann is a friendly and welcoming host with a quiet and peaceful property 10 minutes from downtown Floyd. The BnB is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need, including yummy breakfast foods in the fridge. We look forward to staying there again.

I had the most wonderful stay at Bliss Cabin, to say the least. From the initial photos of the writing desk and yoga deck, to the curious graveled path winding around the property lined with life and decorative details, I was totally immersed in the love and care that was so palpably present! Kathryn & Luke were absolutely lovely, so helpful, and incredibly accommodating! My recommendations while on the property: build and tend to a fire. Journal at the writing desk while playing Miles Davis. Take an early cold plunge in the river, do a round of Wim Hof breathing, then run up to take a hot shower at their beautiful abode. Chat with Luke, have tea with Kathryn. Do yoga on the deck. Say hello to the frogs. Express your inner musician with their drums and sound bowls. Let your soul free here!

We stayed at The Frances home July 6th thru July 13th, 2024. The house is so much nicer in person, the pictures just don't it justice. The beds were fine, the kitchen is well stocked and the place was very clean. Tons of room on the lower level to spread out and enjoy the pool table and ping pong. The lot is sloped but not too steep and they have a very nice, concrete walkway. The owners allow use of their kayaks, canoe and tiki hut on the dock. The hot tub on the lower deck was a great way to relax and enjoy the lake view. The house is in a no wake cove and just across the water from Jake's Place. Super close to the SML bridge and Bridgewater marina. Jake's has a restaurant, camper park and beach area with a slide. They do provide internet although we struggled many times with the connections, just power cycled their router and it was back up and running. T-mobile is the provider, I believe. The one major negative is no trash service, not even trash cans. Gotta fix that...

This was our 2nd stay. It's such a great place to spend time with family--lots of room & things to do...and a very well stocked kitchen. And they lake is so peaceful. Thank you, Charles and Nancy, for sharing your beautiful place.

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

What a wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing and exploring this part of Virginia. It's beautiful and so full of interesting places to visit. The farmhouse was so nice -clean and well-stocked. And, of course, the fresh eggs were the 'icing on the cake." We enjoyed our stay very much.

Patricia’s Cottage is very charming and well appointed. She had stocked it very well with everything you could ask for in a home. Although it’s right on a county road, the inside is very quiet and the back deck is huge and well furnished, which is where we had our morning coffee and evening wine. Overall, it’s an excellent cottage and we very highly recommend it.

Aaron is an extremely responsive and helpful host. The home is well-appointed with technology/wifi, apple tv, extremely functional kitchen and a stocked coffee station! Wonderful stay visiting our 3 children who are students a Va Tech/Vet School.

This AirBnb was lots of fun! We enjoyed exploring this new area of Virginia, and we appreciated all of the helpful information provided by Erika via email and information in the AirBnB. The yurt was unique and comfortable!

A perfect Blacksburg retreat. We were doing one last trip with our senior before graduation! Loved being so close to downtown and having our pup with us! Easy walk to the restaurants and bars. House is super clean and well maintained! Thanks for a great stay!!

It was a beautiful mountain getaway close to VT. The place was loaded with items that were not identified in the description which made it very convenient for those of us visiting from out of state. All those extras were greatly appreciated. The hosts were very friendly and they have the cutest baby goats.

An absolutely beautiful home set in the rolling farmlands. Exactly what we were looking for. Close to the awesome town of Floyd.

Great location at Bernard’s Landing - right next to the club house with the pool and other amenities. Very large space that could easily accommodate 4 couples. Would definitely stay here again!

Giulia has a very nice apartment that was clean with plenty of room. Although close to town, there is a remote feel as the house is surrounded by woods - a definite plus for me.

We had a lovely stay at John’s condo, the view is beautiful! We enjoyed the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. SML is such a relaxing place, there isn’t a ton of “stuff” to do and I think that’s why we like it so much. It really forces you to relax and take in the beauty of the surrounding areas. We did the baby goat snuggles activity that is suggested and it was so much fun and such a great family experience, we highly recommend it! Thank you John, we look forward to booking again in the future 🙂

Seven of us enjoyed a wonderful joint 75th birthday celebration at this beautiful lake home. The mountain and lake views from the spacious back deck were breathtaking. It was exactly as described with prompt and thoughtful communications. Comfortable beds and amenities to meet every need. Can’t wait to return to enjoy outdoor activities with extended family.

It was a beautiful quant place secluded from society. It was a perfect peaceful getaway to allow one to recharge from the normal hustle and bustle. John did a great job of his description on this place! Would recommend it and do it again

Convenient, comfortable and great view. Chris was helpful, flexible, and very responsive. Visited during an epic cold spell and missed the full potential of the lake access which I would live to enjoy next time
