Great location with a great host

This was my family’s second stay at the Farmhouse. Just like our previous stay, the house was beautiful and very clean. During our stay, it snowed quite a bit. There was plenty of yard for the kids to play in the snow — they had a blast. The house was warm and cozy; it was so lovely sitting by the fireplace. I would definitely recommend staying at the Farmhouse and absolutely consider staying the next time we’re in town.

The cabin was quite spacious though the design was a bit odd from what I am used to. Plenty of room outside with the large decks and yard. The kitchen was well stocked and the rest of the house was in awesome condition. Easy access to the river as well as the entire southern NC coastal area. The tap water had a strong iron smell that was especially noticeable in the shower, but I believe that is pretty common in the area. There was a filtered water pitcher on site which worked well for drinking water. I can safely recommend this place for anybody looking for a quiet get away. Just make sure you have a 4WD capable vehicle as the dirt road to reach the cabin could easily cause problems for low riders, especially if it has rained recently. We plan on staying here again next time we take a coastal vacation.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I mentioned when booking it was for a birthday weekend and they even left a few birthday inspired items out for decoration. totally thoughtful and unexpected. loved the amenities and closeness to the lake. super responsive. would absolutely book again!

Beautiful and peaceful getaway. Main area with a beautiful view of the lake. Lots a windows and light make the entire home welcoming. Ample kitchen with all the amenities for cooking available. Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Leigh and Erika were wonderful hosts.

The house was as beautiful as the listing, the bidet and jacuzzi in the master was nice. The host (Kelly) was the best, very accommodating. Now my family wants to come here once a year.

Benny's place was great we will be renting the house again. If you love back woods living with all the comforts of home it's the place to go.

Robin quickly responded to accommodate my family on short notice and ensure the house was clean and stocked prior to our arrival in a few short hours. Her communication was amazing and made our stay easy.

This house was very charming and very nice inside, the carport behind the home was a great touch! The road noise in front of the home is loud but not too bothersome, I am definitely going to be staying here again in the future! The location feels safe and I like the area ! The bathroom is a shared walk through between the bedrooms but it is roomy and comfortable. I recommend this place for convenience and location!!
