10/10 would stay again! Everything was perfect for a quick Galentine’s Getaway with the besties. We could walk to all the Johnson City eats & drinks, plus relaxing in the hot tub at night was easy breezy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Rock House is quiet and comfortable and as described/pictured. It's easy to spend time there -- relax on the porch, watch birds and wildlife, see the stars (or maybe a lunar eclipse!) at night. We were glad we brought our binoculars! The location near Blanco was a good central base camp for our day trips exploring the Hill Country. Kent and Sherry are great and their local recommendations were super helpful.

We LOVED Stewie’s Getaway! Our long (2 month) stay really speaks to how well-appointed and comfortable Jonathan’s place is. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 as well as our dogs. From the extra pillows and towels to the stocked kitchen and ready-to-go hot tub, our stay was luxurious and comfortable from the first moment. In addition to the lovely and pristinely clean house, our host went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable, memorable and fun. He was unfailingly responsive with thoughtful suggestions for places to eat, things to do and even great spots to take in the natural beauty of hill country. The gourmet kitchen was a delight to cook meals in and the cozy seating out front offers an unbeatable view of absolutely next level sunsets. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious and luxurious retreat while exploring beautiful and charming hill country.

We LOVED our stay. The house is as beautiful and well kept as pictured. It was very clean, and we truly appreciated the attention to detail and all of the little provisions that were provided. The linens and beds were lush, the kitchen was a cook’s dream, and the large backyard was peaceful. We really enjoyed Johnson City as well. There are so many things to do nearby and the local restaurants were all delicious. We would gladly stay here again!

Melanie & Bart were wonderful hosts with great recommendations for a variety of activities. We were greeted by a couple of friendly four-legged friends as we came down the long, private drive. We enjoyed the peaceful mornings watching the sheep graze in the pasture and the deer come to the feeder. A cup of coffee on the porch watching the sunrise was the perfect start to the day. The Hye & Bye was just a short half hour drive to Pedernales State Park for some great hiking. We also enjoyed a few wineries within a 15 minute drive. Wonderful Winedown Weekend with some girl friends.
