We loved it! It’s exactly as described. Comfortable spot for 4 of us with nice beds, heated floors and a hot tub. Easy self check-in and check-out. It’s right off the main road, 1/4 mile from a gas station (that’ll come in handy) and less than 10 minutes from Kerid crater. Perfect spot for our one night pit stop as we drove the unbelievably gorgeous ring road. Happy travels, everyone!

I’m so grateful that I booked this apartment. Maria was outstanding, very attentive, responded always quickly and she even bake us a delish dessert. Cabin is exactly as described. Bed is good, space is beautiful and I was able to see the auroras from the cabin. Cabin is near the restaurant area of the city and lots of the amazing waterfalls that Iceland has to offer. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for everything!

Unnar’s house was a great place to stay as we were going around the Golden Circle, good home base for day trips to Gullfoss with several good restaurants within 15min (Fridheimar, etc). The cabin is cozy and clean and we appreciated having a washer/dryer that we could use (just a note that the drying time is a little long, about 4 hours if I recall correctly, so just plan accordingly). Unfortunately it was quite rainy during our stay so we didn’t end up using the hot tub nor did we see northern lights but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Such a peaceful, sweet and beautiful cottage! Great location! Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, great set up for resting and being together. Host was so great! She had great suggestions on what to do in the area and also for our next stop on our trip! We hope to be back ♥️

Wir haben uns sofort wie zuhause gefühlt und können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen. Die Wohnung ist groß und geräumig, die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, das Bett ist bequem, die Wohnung war warm geheizt und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Der Pool im Außenbereich ist ein absolutes Highlight. Von der Unterkunft aus sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten des Golden Circle mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.

A stunning little cabin with a great view! Was very comfortable for the two of us, and we really enjoyed our four nights there. Nice modern touches with just the right amount of space, and superb location along the golden circle. As noted in another review there are some amenities that aren’t listed but were greatly appreciated. An airfryer, a nespresso machine, bath robes (ideal for going out to the spa in the cold), and a stunning sauna with a large window with a view. I will say the kitchen had all the basics you need, especially for a short stay. With us having four nights we felt a few more things would have been nice, but we easily made it work. Owners were very responsive and checked in on us to make sure things went smoothly. 10/10 recommend.

Parfait, rien à redire! Il a neigé avant notre arrivée ce qui a rendu les lieux encore un peu plus magique. La maison a tout ce qu’il faut, c’est chaleureux et confortable! Les lits sont aussi très bien! On était complètement convaincu et nous ne pouvons que recommander les lieux! Nous avons également pu voir les aurores boréales! Les lieux sont parfait pour cela. Si vous arrivez en hiver et qu’il y a de la neige fraîche , c’est vraiment tout de suite après la barrière à activer avec le numéro de téléphone. Genre 50-100 mètres plus loin que la barrière… tout était recouvert de neige et il faisait nuit. Mais sinon c’est super facile à trouver!

We absolutely loved staying at Hjörtur’s property - peaceful, private, cosy, welcoming and exactly as described. The hot tub with geothermal water was the highlight, as it allowed us to observe northern lights from the warm embrace of the healing water, leaving our skin and hair super soft and our bodies and minds super relaxed. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring the Golden Circle and we couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience in Iceland. Hjörtur was fast to respond to our messages and was extremely helpful. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, private retreat, with options to hike and explore stunning Icelandic landmarks. We will be back!

Die Hütte ist wie im Märchen eingerichtet, sehr schön dekoriert und super gemütlich. Man merkt, dass Agnes das Haus mit Liebe pflegt. Alles ist super sauber und Verpflegung sowie skin care sind vorhanden. Man kann sich bei Agnes richtig was gönnen. Die Hütte liegt auf einem Hügel in der Nähe vom Geysir und Gullfoss - eine Super-Lage für einen Urlaub in Island. Der Nachteil ist die große Entfernung zum nächsten Supermarkt. Aber Agnes ist sehr vorsorglich: Der Kühlschrank war bereits gefüllt als wir ankamen und keiner von uns musste hungern. Auch die Küche war voll eingerichtet mit Gewürz, Öl, Lebensmittel im Vorrat und Küchengeräten. Die Kommunikation mit Agnes war auch großartig. Sie hat uns immer schnell geantwortet und uns schnell geholfen, wenn wir Probleme hatten.

We absolutely loved our time at Lydur and Elva's place! It was clean, cozy, charming and filled with everything we needed. It was fantastic to be able to come back to a hot tub and warm, welcoming home every day. Lydur and Elva were kind and flexible when meeting us early in the morning after our early arrival--we were so grateful for that and for being able to stay at their wonderful place!

Wat een geweldige locatie. Omringd door bomen en een heerlijke hottub. Veel bezienswaardigheden binnen 30 min rijden. De inrichting is heel sfeervol. Het was een uitdaging om te zorgen dat het niet te warm werd in huis. We hebben met onze dochters kunnen sleeën. Kortom we hebben een geweldige tijd gehad

Cabaña muy bien localizada. Entorno espectacular, a dos minutos de los géiser. Félix es un gran anfitrión, atento en todo momento. Unos días inolvidables

Sígrun’s place was exactly what we were looking for! We had the best welcome ever being greeted by the northern lights. The house is well equipped with everything you need. From kitchen appliances to toiletries. And the hot tub outside, is an excellent place to relax. Location is perfect. Very nice and quiet and also close to all the main attractions of the golden circle. Our farewell was also memorable with northern lights dancing for us! Some places we’d like to recommend: Sky Lagoon, Thingvellir National park (20 min drive from the house, bring good shoes, can be very slippery). Tryggvaskali restaurant, Messinn restaurant, Silfra restaurant. And of course all the other attractions around the golden circle. Thank you, Sigrún, hope to be back soon!

Le logement proposé n'a pas de cuisine. C'est une grande chambre avec une salle de bain et un salon. malgré tout, l'hôte nous a prêté des ustensiles de cuisine et un accès à son barbecue

We LOVED staying here! We booked 6 nights and it was a wonderful place to settle in and enjoy the sites on the Golden Circle. Katrín was wonderful, responding to most messages within a few minutes. She gave us great tips for restaurants and other things to do. Our favorite aspect of the house was it's bright and open living area with plentiful windows to enjoy the view. The kitchen was really well stocked. there were plenty of linens and towels. The Internet worked great. The living room and dining room lighting at night were a little dim compared to what we are used to, but this did make it easier for us to keep an eye out for northern lights. We had the privilege of seeing them for 3 of the 6 nights! There was no washer and dryer (clearly stated in the description), but the heated drying rack in the bathroom was really useful. The hot tub was wonderful. If you come in winter, you really do want 4WD. The roads leading up to the house were snow covered and slippery. Highly recommend!

Luke’s cottage was an ethereal dream. A tranquil cabin along the Golden Circle, with all the amenities you need to be self sufficient. The cabin itself was very clean, and we were so lucky to see the most phenomenal northern lights 4 days in a row, followed by a nacreous cloud all at the cabin. It really was like living in a dream. Luke himself was very responsive to my endless questions. We cannot wait to return thank you for such a memorable stay.

We had an amazing stay at Gudrun’s cabin. It had everything you would need and the location is amazing right next to the lake. Close to Laugarvatn Fontana Spa and to the golden circle. We drove to Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and Seljalandsfoss. Would definitely recommend and we plan on staying again!

What a special spot! Gísli was a responsive host and the accommodation was simple but perfectly situated to take in the beautiful surroundings. It was comfortable and complete with everything we needed.

We loved Rebecca’s place - really warm and welcoming as soon as you step inside and the views are amazing. It was snowing when we arrived and it snowed heavily overnight, so we were glad of our wee 4x4 with its snow tyres, when we eventually ventured out for food and provisions. The road to the cottage is very challenging in the snow and ice. The cottage itself is well equipped and very comfortable - we both slept really well. All in all, we highly recommend Rebecca’s place - we spent a lot more time there than we do in most airbnbs due to the weather - it’s a lovely place to relax.

Wir waren zu Zweit von Montag bis Samstag in der Unterkunft von Thordur. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und es war wunderbar. Die Unterkunft war sauber und als wir eine Frage hatten, hat Thordur sofort Antwort gegeben. Er hat uns sogar weitere Informationen, für das Glück, Nordlichter zu sehen, gegeben. Der Hotpod war super und die Gegend wunderbar, um viel Natur zu sehen. Wir hatten sogar Besuch von Krummi (Raven). Herzlichsten Dank für die Gastfreundschaft. Wir würden sofort wieder bei Thordur buchen.

nám se ubytování moc líbilo, poloha super k výletům, klidné místo uprostřed přírody.. k některým ne úplně pozitivním komentářům -v popisu ubytování je psané, že jde o retro chaloupku. ve vybavení nám nechybělo nic, při příjezdu nás čekal domek se zapnutým topením, ještě jsme dali pár polen do kamen a nemělo to chybu.

Had a great experience at this cottage, and it was our favorite accomodation on our trip. Very peaceful and easy to explore the Golden Circle from. There are a ton of board games too, which was lovely for the evenings. Helen was fantastic to work with, and a very welcoming host. Highly recommend!
