Wir haben uns sehr zu Hause gefühlt. Der Gastgeber hat sich toll um uns gekümmert. Wir haben die Wohnung sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Schade eigentlich, dass wir weg mussten. Wir wären gern noch mehrere Tage geblieben, da es eine Umgebung ist, in der man gerne länger ist.

nous avons passés trois nuits dans un logement très agréable à proximité de nombreux sites. il est très bien équipé, au calme et nous avons pu voir des aurores boréales depuis le canapé à travers les baies vitrées du salon. nous recommandons fortement ce logement ! merci pour l'accueil et les idées de visites à proximité !

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

It is a beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was farther than we had home to items we wanted to see. However, the setting was quiet and secure, one could not hear any traffic. The only downside was the Jaquzzi didnot heat up and kept flipping the breaker. We were never able to use or enjoy it. We did reach out to Hafsteinn he tried to help us get it working, but it never did. That was the reason for choosing this location.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

I and my wife really enjoyed our stay and in fact it went beyond our expectations. The flat was clean, modern and spacious and it had everything we needed. Its location was ideal to explore the Golden Circle and other parts of Iceland. It really felt like we were living as locals during our stay, and had nothing to complain. about.

Great host and space! just off the beaten path, Iris provided great recommendations for food, the house was perfect. plenty of elbow room. Would rent again with zero hesitation!

Brilliant location with spectacular views. If you are looking to get away from the city and close to the Golden Circle sights this is an ideal spot. The pictures of the place do not do it justice, modern and yet very homely feel. Would highly recommend

Wir waren eine Woche in dem schönen Haus und es hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Das Haus war warm und abends haben wir den Hot Tub genossen. Ich kann dieses Haus jedem empfehlen. Ein super Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen. Einkaufen sollte man jedoch auf dem Weg dorthin. Größere Läden gibt es vor Ort nicht.

Rigtig fin Bolig - der manglede bestemt ikke noget. Fin størrelse til en familie på 7. Vildt luksus, at der både var håndklæder, sengelinned, shampoo, toiletpapir osv.

Just perfect

Belle et grande maison, bien équipée, des chambre spacieuses et agréables. Nous étions sept personne et cette maison était parfaite. La piscine municipale est juste à côté, avec des bassins d'eau chaude, le top en hiver. Très bien située au milieu du triangle d'or, donc parfait pour les visites.

I've stayed at quite a few AirBnBs, and rented villas in the past and I tell you, you will not be disappointed here! A recently built summerhouse which has been beautifully furnished and equipped, on a relatively new development in a very quiet and picturesque area. There was snow on the ground, which helped and we were able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub on the deck, even in -7 temperatures in March! A family party of 8, the house was perfect for us with its communal areas and en-suite bedrooms. Not a lot of local amenities (the "local" shop is a 15 minute drive away) but the upside is peace and quiet, and a great central location for some of Iceland's best known attractions. Thoroughly recommended!
