Amazing, amazing and one more time - amazing!! The house is beautiful, you can feel that the owners are artsy, as architect I loved it. I lived in Iceland and wanted to show the country to my friends from the best side so I was looking for a special place to accommodate, close to the most important attractions. It was a perfect choice! I am just amazed by the house, hot tub and location. Sonja is the best host ever! She even did the groceries for us as we were landing very late during the New Year’s Eve when many supermarkets were closed. She was answering my questions, she helped us with the lighting around hot tub. The place is also amazing for Aurora chasing! We stayed there 3 nights and we saw northern lights 2 times from the garden. The house was just perfect for the group of 8, well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Takk fyrir Sonja 💖

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was raining when we were there so fortunately did not enjoy the hot tub and did not manage to see any stars as well. However we loved our stay here and would come back again. Having provided some basic items like oil, sugar and salt was thoughtful and useful for us! Would definitely come back!

Es war der schönste Urlaub den wir jemals hatten! Annas Unterkunft war einfach großartig und wir haben uns direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Wir haben sogar mehrfach Polarlichter gesehen 😍 Danke für alles Anna.

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

Le logement etait super , isolé seule au monde , nous avons même pu voir des aurores boréales dans le jardin. Il a neigé alors les enfants ont pu jouer et profiter a fond de l'extérieur. Le trampoling sous la neige . Il manque un peu de lumière dans le salon et la cuisine pour le soir et pour cuisiner. Manque un peu de chauffage aussi ... Nous avions aussi le lave vaisselle pas vider et le four un peu sale et les bulles ne fonctionné pas dans le jacuzzi... mais nous ne pouvons pas tout avoir , l'emplacement est parfait pour visiter le cercle d'or et la maison est grande et isolé! On se sent comme a la maison merci pour ce super sejour.

Without a doubt the ideal location for our visit. With access to many nearby attractions, and the location to explore a lot further when we desired, our stay at Magnus's accommodation was better than we could have ever hoped for. The house was beautiful, and the location was beyond mesmerizing, while not being too far from a town with food and petrol. Magnus was an ease to contact, and helped us out with any query. It far exceeded all expectations.

We loved our stay here. The home is beautiful and suited the needs of our family (ages 1-75). The sauna was incredible and we got to see the Northern lights from the comfort of the hot tub. The hosts were responsive and very easy to communicate with.

Over the top effort to make the home lovely, comfortable, and packed with every imaginable kitchen appliance, cooking utensil, pots & pans, and dinnerware, Netflix, Prime video and much more.

We had a fantastic time at Straumnes cabins. The cabins are very peaceful, and in a beautiful setting on the lake. We were spending a couple of days doing the golden circle and South coast and the cabin was perfectly located for this. The communication was great, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed, and lovely and warm. Many thanks to our host for a great stay. We would highly recommend the cabin for family's exploring the golden circle that want a peaceful stay in the countryside.
