I wish there was an option for ‘super great!’ I cannot rave enough about this hidden gem in what felt like was the middle of nowhere. Our city kids aged 7&8 had no issues playing and getting dirty and loved engaging with the donkeys, baby goats and bunnies. The resident sheepdog herded us so well he even slept in our cottage! The hike was fun too but can be a bit daunting for those who are not sure footed and there is a bit of climbing involved but the view was worth it. Loved it so much and will be back for a longer relaxing stay again soon! Thanks to everyone who looked after us!

Chernés place was peaceful and absolutely stunning my family and I had an amazing time there. The place is exactly as seen in the pictures.

10/10. Annie’s place is amazing. It’s located in a beautiful golf estate with lovely views. The house is cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Annie is so friendly and very responsive. I would definitely recommend Annie’s place to anyone looking to go to Harties.

Dudu was excellent. Her property is first class and she literally couldn't have been more accommodating. There were some issues with power cuts in the area and she went above and beyond to ensure the stay was comfortable. I wish more hosts were as good as this. Highly recommended.

Cleo’s place is truly magical. From the tranquil setting to the artful and playful decor. The cottage is spacious and is well equipped. We really enjoyed the kitchen and outdoor space by the braai and fire pit!

The house has the best location in all of Peacanwood in my opinion - right on the green and uninterrupted views of the water ! We were greeted with the most thoughtful welcome basket with some key basics needed for our stay! We could watch the sun rise while we sipped coffee on the patio. There was more than enough space for our family of 8 and we took beautiful walks around the estate. Everything felt super safe and we had a really great and tranquil weekend!

Staying at Tranquillity Lodge felt like visiting family—the kind of family who actually makes you feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, Melanie made sure we were comfortable, like we were old friends rather than guests. She didn’t just hand over the keys and disappear; she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, even running out to grab a few essentials we’d forgotten. The lodge itself was spotless, well-organized, and had everything for a self-catering stay. But what really made it special was the personal touch. Melanie gave us a full tour of the property, making sure we didn’t miss the best parts—especially the Rock Pools (seriously, don’t skip them!). She also loaded us up with recommendations for places to explore when we come back. And we will be back. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is it. No stress, no fuss—just pure relaxation and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel right at home.

Had a great stay and the house is exactly as described and pictured. Lots of great spots to visit within a short drive and the location on the lake was perfect.
