Had a great one night stay at the guest house. Highlights include the beautiful deck space overlooking the river, and a friendly dog that stopped by to say hello. Be prepared to be out of cell service and wifi May or may not work. Otherwise a very peaceful and well kept space!

This place is so nice I’m torn between writing a great review or trying to keep it a secret.

Enjoyed our stay and talking with TJ. Nice place, Awesome water view on the deck. Boots Steakhouse / Restaurant is a must do. Great food such as the trout and pork chops. Would definitely stay again.

Being a first time user of airbnb , Im sold and airbnb will be my go to from here forward for any travel.. the ease of reservation and check in/ check out ... very smooth! I literally paid online , then drove to the door of the place and punched in a code and we were home away from home. So easy , no front desk , just such a great way to travel with your family and friends. But the best part was "D.J." , after reading the responses left on airbnb sites , DJ was the contributing factor to my stay. I look forward to future family trips to Boone more often b/c of DJ's personal and professional timeliness and friendliness. D.J. Thanks again my friend , will talk to you soon

Cozy, clean, and SO peaceful and quiet! Bed was super comfortable and clean. I had a perfect night's rest. The accommodations were simple and rustic, as advertised. Great price for a private, no frills place to sleep. The nearby town offered decent restaurants and great coffee, too.

This is my third stay with D.J. Every stay he has made sure I've felt right at home. I strongly encourage anyone traveling to stay at one of D.J.'s locations

Felt Right at home. I choose to stay with D.J repeatedly because all of his locations are extremely nice and feel alot more at home than a hotel. I travel for work so it was a blessing to find his different options for lodging. Having Full Access to a Gym was perfect. The sauna after a long work week really was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend staying with D.J

The setting is lovely . I had comolete privacy and everything was clean and well supplied . The couple were very accommodating and were available at check in. I would reccomend this place, especially for a mountain wedding , girl scout lock in or camp. it was exactly what I needed for my stay over. I was given my space after check in, and felt very safe and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was so quiet and beautiful. We had absolutely everything we needed and this was a wonderful place to stay before an early morning day of tubing. The bunk beds were so helpful to have with kids. Thank you so much and we will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Salubrious House! The Generals Quarters suite was both spacious and gorgeous. The whole place is so historic, well-preserved, and surrounded by incredible natural beauty. Our hosts were very attentive and made our stay even more special. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a night in an incredible historic house—would recommend to anyone!

No stress, calm and peaceful. Friendly dog and cat. Easy to come and go. All locations we needed to find were within a 10 minute range. Enjoyed getting to know Pia, she shared helpful information for outsiders visiting the area. We plan to stay again soon!

Was looking for affordable lodging for a ski trip at Snowshoe, and YMC was a hidden gem! Melanie was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. Really appreciated the check in guide with photos included to make it really easy to get into our room even at night. Since the center is so remote, it felt very safe and peaceful. We enjoyed the character of the dining and great room with lots of homey touches. We appreciated that it was dog friendly, and Melanie had even prepared a bag of dog supplies for our room which was so thoughtful. Although we didn’t get to explore the beautiful grounds this time, we will certainly be back in the spring to check it out!

Absolutely beautiful property! The wagon was soo neat! Can’t wait to go back and stay again with my kids next time!

We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge. We loved every special detail and all the extra effort to make our stay more enjoyable. We were greeted with fresh made brownies and a hot chocolate bar. In our room were fresh made cookies and a plate of fresh blueberries, cheese, salami, crackers and tomatoes. The lodge is decorated by local artist work and is just beautiful . The morning we left we were offered a home made breakfast and it was absolutely yummy. The room was cozy and very clean with a beautiful view. I would 10/10 recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.

Brigadoon as a whole is an experience in and of itself. The home is VERY artistic, colorful, and stimulating. There is so much for the eye and soul to take in. Heather was always friendly, warm, and helpful. We had great interactions and chats as time allowed. The bed and room was comfy and inviting, and the bathroom facilities were clean and warm as well. Overall, this choice will bring all of your senses alive in a curious and comfortable way! Enjoy!

My husband and I loved our stay at Kate’s home. And Amy was so hospitable with checking in and going above and beyond cooking us a great breakfast. The suite was spacious and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

We made a quick overnight stay for whitewater rafting and felt comfortable and clean. The directions and description did not disappoint. Will definitely come back for a longer stay in the future!

Beautiful and inspiring place! Our family of four had the place all the ourselves though we had a very late check in at 11 pm, we enjoyed the fire and kids games and instruments located in the shared space before checking out the next day. Saying this place is a hidden gem is an understatement. Very clean bedding and the hosts prepared the room by making it warm before our arrival which is a huge plus (cold night). A sanctuary you do not want to miss. I’m inspired to come back and support you guys and your initiative. I will have time for the sauna next time for sure. Thank you again for a beautiful stay!

If you are looking for a private cozy cabin in a woody area away from busy population, this is the place to go. Ray is super friendly, received us even when we checked in very late in the night. He made us fresh coffee in the morning. He also took us for a walk around to near by waterfalls and a creek. We also went on a mini trail. If you are ok with staying with the host in the same house, you can give it a go. Cabin itself has an old vintage vibe with a porch with a a wonderful vibe.

Came to relax for my birthday weekend and it was better than I expected. Staff were super sweet and helpful. My room was super clean and felt like home. Melanie the host was eager to answer questions and kept the fireplace going all weekend in the main room. The staff really makes you feel like family! P.s. for those super sensitive to noise levels at night, the walls are a bit on the thinner side and you might want to bring earplugs just in case. There are signs up on the walls that mention quiet hours from 10pm and the staff try their best to keep it like that, however you never know how quiet your "neighbors" next door will be. Overall I really enjoyed my stay! Although I wasn't too happy about the bit of noise I experienced the first night , Its more important to me that the hosts are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Thanks again for the most amazing weekend and surprise birthday decoration. It made me feel special! Will definitely visit this place again.

Very comfortable and clean. Had a little trouble checking in but the gal at the gate office was GREAT! Fun stay!

Very nice stay. Comfortable room and functional kitchenette. Very quiet and peaceful area. Recommended to anyone who wants to get away from it all for a while!
