We had the absolute best fall weekend at "the Kayaker." We are already planning next fall. The tent had every amenity you could want and was so cozy (I brought a stack of blankets and never needed them)! The bed was so very comfortable. The lodge was much nicer than we anticipated and I don't think I've ever seen a campground bathhouse SO nice! We loved how private our glamping tent was but how easy it was to walk everywhere else. One night it drizzled and it was just so cozy inside our tent to play a game by lamplight with the little propane heater on. The fall colors were spot on and we were nice and close to hiking and mountain biking as well as an apple orchard, Wineries, breweries and shops! Can't ask for anything more!

Such a great spot. The property is beautiful, cozy, and has great views. The glamping set up was perfect for our needs. Having a real, cozy, blanket covered bed was amazing. Tent was spacious and we felt we had everything we needed for our trip. We extra enjoyed the amazing brewery / beer stop down the road called Whistle Hop. Tent came with electricity hook up and a space heater. We camped in some freezing weather and were beyond warm and cozy. There's a cute barn cat who stopped by but our jerk dog scared him off. Bonus points to the host who came out in the cold around midnight to make sure our electricity, and our connection to the space heater, worked after the heater tripped the breAker. Host made sure we were cozy and had everything we needed, even late!

Such a wonderful location! Excellent glamping. The accommodations are very comfortable and the outdoor patio was great. We had such a nice night by the fire pit! We can not wait to return!

I can't say enough nice stuff about the host and property! Even walking through Copper Hill was a blast!

Wow! Awesome place! We stayed here for 2 nights and had the most wonderful time having a campfire under the stairs, playing board games together, exploring (beautiful) nearby waterfalls and spending the afternoon in waterfall infinity pools together. Greg is by far the best host we have ever had - he is communicative, helpful, responsive, personable and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your time. The campsite set up had everything you could need - clearly designed by someone with lots of camping experience who knows what amenities make for the most enjoyable stay. The tent was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the shower was easy to use (and warm), and the kitchen set up was easy to navigate. Great stay where special memories were made!

Great stay at Stephen’s. He advised us not to use our non 4WD vehicle to get up to the site but we tried anyway because we arrived after dark. He told us he could help get our car unstuck and patiently did so. It was a serene place and we tried some of his distillery items, which were tasteful and great (no hangover!!). Friendly and loving cat who follows him around as well.

We loved our stay at Sarah and Kyle’s place. Although during much of our time it was rainy and cold, we were cozy and dry in the tent. We found good hikes in the area and enjoyed a local winery and cidery. It was a great place for a weekend getaway.

We told our boys this would be so much better than a stereotypical birthday party and it sure did not disappoint! What more could a 6 and 8 year old boy ask for but a weekend cooking over a fire, days playing in mud and catching fish, and they get to bring their dogs?! It was perfect. Thank you, Paps, for a wonderful experience and for giving our family such much needed time with the outdoors. Glamping at Paps camp will be our new tradition! Love, the Queens.

We had an amazing experience staying in the camping tent hosted by Deanna! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in a serene spot in the woods near Shenandoah National Park. The tent itself was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a perfect balance of comfort and nature—luxury camping at its finest. Deanna was a fantastic host, ensuring everything was perfect for my stay. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a touch of elegance near Shenandoah. Can’t wait to come back!

A perfect little getaway! The elevated tent is clean and cozy, adorable decorated, and provides a comfortable stay. The deck is spacious, brilliantly laid out. Shower is hot and clean outhouse is spotless. The grounds are well-kept. The hosts are kind and quick to respond to any questions and concerns. They have brilliantly constructed the perfect off-grid experience! We arrived at night and found the solar edison and deck lights to be so inviting. *Bring your own portable goal zero/charger for phones and devices. The heater buddy was a huge perk. We appreciated the percolator and pots and pans for cooking our meals on the grill with side burner. The deck is an amazing space to share a meal and morning coffee, fire pit is perfect, and wood was provided. There are neighboring properties and occasional traffic sounds but it doesn’t make this space any less peaceful. By early evening, you’ll only hear nature. Wish we had more days to stay! We will be back for sure!!

We can’t say enough positive things about Glamping Retro! Not only was the property beautiful, but it was also extremely clean and peaceful! From the brook that lulled us to sleep at night to the cozy fire pits, this was the perfect place to unwind and relax for the weekend. It was also surrounded by tons of beautiful hiking trails. Glamping Retro honestly went above and beyond our expectations. Sharen and Tony were also exceptional hosts! They were quick to respond and warmly welcomed us with a cute chalkboard sign out front, as well as a sweet card and treats for our pup. We already can’t wait to come back and will be recommending this place to everyone we know!

Wow...New Life Farm is awesome! The creekside tent is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature surrounded by beautiful land and the brightest amazing star show you can imagine! Cory has thought of everything in the way of amenities to make your stay easy and convenient so you don't have to bring so much with you. Cory was an excellent host, very accommodating and the convenience of wilderness "room service" bringing bags of ice and bundles of wood directly to your tent was the icing on the cake! If you have any interest in glamping, try Cory's place at his working farm and you will be glad you did!

My 13-yr-old son and I needed a weekend getaway. The yurt at Waterloo overlooking the creek was perfect. We had everything we needed. We relaxed around a fire, visited the waterfalls and braved wading in the cold November water, enjoyed a hammock we brought, read books, and enjoyed a night walk with the full moon. Cookeville is a short distance for town runs. We just needed rest this time, but next time we'll probably venture out to other hikes and waterfalls in this beautiful area.

Had an amazing stay at this Jupe! This is truly a remarkable find that’s value surpasses its price point. The Co-host Suzanne was more than accommodating and very friendly. This trip is definitely one for the memories bank. I would recommend this stay for anyone wanting peace and quiet as well as an adventure!

this was my second time here and I once again had a great time. i had to borrow the air pump from the Marina and I really appreciated not having to pay a fee and the Marina was more then happy to help. very friendly fellow campers in the RV at the top of the hill from the tent site. they were just as friendly and helpful during our first stay as well. honestly y'all have made us feel more then welcomed during both of our stays. my son is 8 and has special needs and can sometimes be loud or overwhelmingly friendly to strangers but never once has anyone made us feel like we were a bother and I can't tell you how appreciative I am of that. we will definitely be coming back. thank you for the hospitality of the entire Marina!

John and Jenni were wonderful hosts. Instructions and responsiveness made preparation for our trip and arrival very easy. They’re very personable people as well. The tent was everything we expected-nothing more, nothing less. The site made for a nice escape, simply being surrounded by nature. We loved our stay, will visit again and plan to upgrade to their camper next time!

this was such an amazing stay! Steven is a Great host- helped out with any problems & was quickly responsive. this was our first time staying in a foldable mobile home & it was so comfy. beautiful surroundings, plenty of room to explore & enjoy nature! He’s out in so much work to make this place what it is : amazing! Definitely planning to visit again one day!

This tent is the perfect place to escape to for a relaxing weekend! It was the perfect step up from camping. It’s also the perfect place to enjoy a good thunderstorm! If it’s a cold night, it does get a little chilly, but the space heater definitely helps and the comforters were quite warm! I definitely hope to come back again!

If I could, I would permanently move to this glamp site. Debbie was super communicative and helpful throughout the entire stay; honestly, I cannot think of a better place to stay in Brasstown, especially if you’re going to the folk school (it’s so close you can walk). P.S. say hi to the creek for me

The place was really nice and isolated , to enjoy nature. Greg was beyond helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay go as smooth as possible. Did not want to leave and looking forward to staying here again
