We had a wonderful stay in Gary's house. It is a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with just a few minutes by foot to reach the sea. The modern interior of the house has all the comfort you need and Gary went above and beyond to make it childproof and adjust to our needs. We would come back any time. Thank you :-)

We stayed at Tom's place for one night. The house was clean and airy, with everything we needed (a couple and 3 dogs), plus a few little extras like face cloths, shampoo & conditioner, milk, tea, fizz... felt right at home. Very comfortable and spacious. Tom communicated really well prior to our visit and recommend some local walks & dog friendly pubs. We'd stay again, and for longer next time!

We had a great stay-the house is light, spacious and clean and the garden was great for our dog, who enjoyed exploring it. The Sainsbury’s Local which is a few minutes walk away was very handy for a few essentials when we arrived!

This is a super cottage - perfectly placed for exploring Alnwick and the coast. Everything was clean and comfortable and the welcome pack was very much appreciated with even little treats for the dog. The kitchen is very well equipped as is the house generally with books, dvds and games. We loved being so close to the castle but within such easy walking distance of all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Yvonne is a super host - communications were prompt and informative and she was kind enough to let us know that we could get into the house a little earlier than the advertised time. I would not hesitate to recommend this house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean and has everything you need. It’s a great base for sightseeing all the villages and beaches in the area and Amble has some lovely bars, restaurants and cafes, whilst the people there are all very friendly….

Loved being able to walk from the property straight to the beach with our dog. Within walking distance to shops/takeaways. The property is lovely, very cosy and clean. We found the only drawback was comfortable seating. It was very small for 2 people to get properly comfortable to snuggle up by the fire watching TV. One of us ended up on the sofa, the other sat on the floor on cushions. With limited space, I guess it's difficult to accommodate. Very happy with our stay though. Also, a new Guest Book is needed. Would have loved to written in there. I enjoyed reading other comments from previous guests. 🙂

We had a great time staying at Sandra's wonderful house. We were on a work trip but had a bit of down time too to explore the area. The house worked really well for us to do some work there when we weren't out meeting people. We were able to really enjoy cooking there, just like it was our home kitchen due to how well equipped it was which was really important for our flexible schedule. The area itself is fantastic - great views, close by to everything and the house was comfy and cosy after long days out working and exploring. Sandra was very proactive in her communications and thoughtful with her suggestions and gestures - she left us a really kind welcome package and basics in the kitchen which again were really appreciated. Would really recommend this place and I hope to stay again!

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

WOW - what a beautiful home!!! An absolute gem * For context - it was myself, my partner, two boys (4 and 2 years old) & our cavapoo. There was ample space for us all regarding bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge space. The home was tastefully decorated in keeping with the local beach aswell as spotlessly clean. NOTHING was too much for our hosts who were simply magnificent given the fact this is a relatively new venture for them. You would think this operation has been running for years based on the quality and efficiency of everything from booking and recommendations. The beach is quite literally a stones throw away and we made a beeline for this every morning after breakfast. Great start to the day! We had a 60 minute drive to Whitby with the family which was thoroughly enjoyable for some stunning Fish & Chips and crabbing for the boys to partake in. Some spectacular views driving down the coast past Redcarr and Saltburn. We would definitely come back again! BOOK BOOK BOOK IT!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

Perfect stay in such a lovely cottage. Very clean, had everything you could need and really felt like home. A good base for exploring Northumberland and scenery was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a weekend away. The sweet and savoury treats were a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Had a wonderful bank holiday weekend away for my daughter’s 4th birthday at Malcolm’s home from home. Great location, caravan exactly as described and had everything you would need. Malcolm provided quick and clear instructions and even went above and beyond to inform us of local activities going on that might have been of interest to us during our stay. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring the local area. Thanks Malcolm, great host 10/10

Lovely stay in Whitley Bay at Claire’s caravan. On the edge of the park closest to the sea so great views of the coast and lighthouse. We were lucky with the sunsets - they were beautiful! Recommended!

Thank you! We had a great stay. We felt very welcome. We feel great affection for the ‘Barn on the Bay’ as our daughter got married there two years ago and we still felt the warmth! It’s also a glorious location for sunrises, sunsets and the skylarks singing above! Thanks again xx

Highly recommend this is our 2nd visit as we love it so much. Having this fantastic base to return to after exploring the local area is absolute perfection. Fabulous place for peace and quiet. So close to the beach for walks with the dogs. Everywhere we walked to was really catered for dogs. Some great places to walk to on the beach. Accomodation warm and cosy just as described, host made you feel at home with nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Bit of a run down area but actual house is good once inside . If driving very handy for beach,shops,restaurants etc Overall it was a great stay and everything in hose worked well.

The cottage was perfect. The kitchen had everything you need, lovely cooking wear and home from home utensils. The log fire (courtesy logs) was beautiful. Really cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable with plush bedding. I have read other reviews and I can honestly say the location was extremely quiet. Yes it’s on a residential street but it was peaceful and both my friend and myself could park our cars right outside. My 6 month old puppy loved it and was well behaved given her new surroundings. Thank you Doreen for your recommendations of dog friendly pubs and excellent communication.

The iron chapel is a wonderful place to stay, full of character, and a lovely place to spend time with family. Lisa and Michael were great hosts, very quick to reply to any queries we had. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the iron chapel. Andy & Sarah.
