What a stunning home! From waking up to the roar of the lions at the Hartbeespoort Dam Snake and Animal Park across the dam, to the beautiful lights shining over the mountain in the evening, everything about this place is magical. During the day, the birds’ songs just add to the peaceful atmosphere. We did experience a power outage for a day (which was totally out of the hosts' control due to a power line issue), but honestly, the quality family time and the serene surroundings made it such a perfect escape. As for the baboons… definitely heed the warning! One of them stole our chips, and let me tell you, my mom nearly had a heart attack when she saw it happen. The shriek that came out of her sent that baboon running faster than I’ve ever seen. Such a memorable experience!

The place was perfect and very clean.. pictures didn’t do justice, the place is very beautiful.. the host was very responsive.. we didn’t experience a lot of problems.

Shaun is a great host. Proactive, helpful and friendly - and his home is amazing with breathtaking views of the dam Once inside the estate it’s a little tricky to find but if you follow Shaun’s instructions you’ll be fine. The staff who helped us were wonderful. Discreet and friendly - just what you need. We used this home as a base for Sun City / Pilanesberg - it’s an hours drive (watch out for the unmarked speed bumps on the road to both) - but we loved our time here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay near the dam.

Nndangi is an exceptional host and communication was easy and open. Great location and comfortable stay.

What a wonderful weekend away we had at Linda and Peter’s place. It had everything we could have wanted. A lovely, easy to work in kitchen. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were so comfy. The view was wonderful from the stoep. I haven’t seen so many stars in a long time. While our hosts ensured we had everything we needed, they gave us privacy. I have no doubt we will head back there sometime in the new year.

We had a family birthday and Marvin's place was close to our home to accommodate the additional guests that travelled form Australia and Namibia. The place was as per the description and Marvin was an excellent host, constantly communicating with us.

I had such a lovely stay at Birdsong that I extended my stay. The apartment is quiet and beautiful and I really like how close it is to delta park. The name "Birdsong" is well chose as you are surrounded by lovely singing birds all day which really calms me. Anna is a very attentive lady. I highly recommend a stay!

Tebe was a great host …to giving you the codes everyday and checking up on me . Whenever I had a problem she’d find solutions and the place is really beautiful. It’s really close to the malls ,safe as well and free .i felt at home and the place was squeaky clean and smelt nice ,l would go again there given the chance. I highly recommend the place Wifi was not a problem at all and loadshedding You do get what you paid for ♥️

Great stay I can highly recommend to a person who is looking for a peaceful and relaxed area .. not forgetting the beautiful surroundings of nature it has .. oh God ! breath taking I can go back now and then

10/10 would recommend. Pictures don’t do the place any justice. Julie was quick to respond to our texts. We have an awesome weekend. Only issue we had, was the wifi and the slow connection to the TV. We couldn’t watch a show without buffering but the wifi worked well on our cellphone devices.

Truly a lovely and peaceful cottage! It's got everything you need + a nice yard. I like how the place is close to the mall, the dam, restaurants, and Aerial Cableway. Pieter is a wonderful host and there when you need him; very nice and wants to share all he knows about the area. Will definitely book again soon. We had a lovely stay!

Had a lovely stay. Very neat and tidy place. Beautiful surroundings, safe neighbourhood to walk in, and lot to do. I really enjoyed my stay and how organised the hosts were. They are very kind and accommodating.

Thank you Tanja for the wonderful stay and the helpful advice about the labyrinth and surrounding area. we loved walking yhe river, fishing and spotting all the wildlife (otter, kudu, etc) and the many water birds. The cabin was so peaceful and private, we felt as if we were the only ones there. the jacuzzi and fires at night made it even more romantic and relaxing. definitely will return!
