Beautiful cabin in the woods! Quiet and peaceful with almost no one around. Outdoor shower, great hot tub, and absolute stunning scenery. A short walk from a creek and small waterfall. I never wanted to leave!

We enjoyed our brief stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is beautiful, well stocked with lots of extras like olive oil, cooking spices and condiments. The large deck was perfect for star gazing and the hot tub was an excellent place to relax at the end of a long day hiking. We loved it.

This place was absolutely perfect in every way and far exceeded our expectations. We arrived on a perfectly clear afternoon to see the most incredible sunset, the hot tub already warm and ready for us. We got to see the most spectacular showing of the northern lights. the chair looking out over the lake was my favorite spot and the beds were so cozy and comfortable. Would 100% recommend.

Wir waren zu Zweit von Montag bis Samstag in der Unterkunft von Thordur. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und es war wunderbar. Die Unterkunft war sauber und als wir eine Frage hatten, hat Thordur sofort Antwort gegeben. Er hat uns sogar weitere Informationen, für das Glück, Nordlichter zu sehen, gegeben. Der Hotpod war super und die Gegend wunderbar, um viel Natur zu sehen. Wir hatten sogar Besuch von Krummi (Raven). Herzlichsten Dank für die Gastfreundschaft. Wir würden sofort wieder bei Thordur buchen.

This was a beautiful cottage and was very clean and tidy. Wonderful location with many walking trails to explore within the Húsafell area, and some neat hikes in the surrounding areas that were a short drive away. The host was very responsive with the few questions we had and provided detailed instructions on how to get to the cottage. Would 100% recommend!

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful and we enjoyed it very much. The cabin is so charming and at a calm location surrounded by nature. It is equipped with everything you need and little details like the fireplace make you feel like home. Thor and Ryan were great hosts, always responsive and sharing helpful information proactively. Questo chalet è meraviglioso in tutti i sensi, una delle soluzioni più belle degli ultimi 10 con Airbnb! La casa è bella, semplice ma molto curata, con tutto quello che serve per cucinare e pranzare. I letti sono comodi e caldi. La vasca idromassaggio all’esterno è fantastica: quando siamo arrivati alle 10 pm era perfettamente calda (38*C). Grazie davvero Jon per voler condividere questo gioiello!

L’alloggio è veramente stupendo. Accogliente, ben arredato e completo di tutto. Ci è piaciuto così tanto che siamo rimasti più in casa di quello che avevamo programmato. Grazie anche a Sif che ci ha seguito tanto, molto gentile e flessibile negli orari. È stato un soggiorno meraviglioso. Grazie mille 🙏🏻

Het huis ligt op een hoogte met prachtig uitzicht en wordt omgeven door land met relatief veel vogels. Veel plekken op Snaefellsnes zijn goed te bereiken. De laatste kilometers naar het huis zijn onverhard, maar een 4x4 is niet nodig. Er is een goed bed dat maar net in de slaapkamer past, de uitrusting is ruim voldoende. De wifi-gegevens op de site van Airbnb waren niet juist, maar stonden in het gastenschrift, dus dat was snel opgelost.

We loved Rebecca’s place - really warm and welcoming as soon as you step inside and the views are amazing. It was snowing when we arrived and it snowed heavily overnight, so we were glad of our wee 4x4 with its snow tyres, when we eventually ventured out for food and provisions. The road to the cottage is very challenging in the snow and ice. The cottage itself is well equipped and very comfortable - we both slept really well. All in all, we highly recommend Rebecca’s place - we spent a lot more time there than we do in most airbnbs due to the weather - it’s a lovely place to relax.

Overall we had a wonderful stay here. The views are gorgeous and we were lucky enough to see northern lights! Only negative was trying to find the cabin was difficult BUT Borj was super responsive and friendly. We only stayed one night but would stay again.

This place was a dream. Having stayed at dozens of AirBnBs in Iceland, this is in our top! It was tranquil and Elisabet and Rosa were communicative and it’s clear they take pride in their home. It was beautiful, and there were amenities that made traveling with an infant smooth and comfortable for us. There were so many thoughtful touches and it was squeaky clean. We saw the aurora two out of three nights which was nothing short of magical. It was the ideal stay in a beautiful place!

A great place to stay. The host is friendly and quite kind. The house can be a little tricky to find, but the experience was amazing overall. I would definitely come back again

Had a minor issue with our room when we arrived and the owner went out of his way to fix the issue himself. Gylfi is a top of the line businessman! The "hot box" (i guess you call it) after getting out of the hot tub and watching the stars in the box was incredibly relaxing. The view while eating breakfast in the lobby was superb. The lobby building itself was home-y. I wish we had stayed more than one night. Cant wait to stay here again someday in the future

La cabane en bois est isolée dans la campagne islandaise, aucun bruit , du calme tout le long de notre séjour. Tout était propre , les lits extrêmement confortables, l aménagement est optimal. il y a même une mezzanine où ma fille a adoré jouer avec des legos. la communication est agréable et les réponses rapides. Le seul inconvénient reste la piste pour y accéder, nous avions une citadine en voiture de location.

Amazing location to visit the Cave and the Glacier! Place was really clean, easy to get in. The jacuzzi is not working. Host was super great, we forgot our laptop and he answered quickly for the retrieval

Only suggestion would be to perhaps have a couple of big towels to use with the hot tub.

We will be back. Convenient to the airport yet private and secluded. Town of borganes just minutes away with anything you’d need for supplies. Setting is unbelievable. We set our cameras up 4 feet out the back door and photographed northern lights. Short visit of only 4 days, 3 of which we just relaxed at the house, hiked the side of the river and enjoyed the sauna. The one day we ventured out was to a nearby spa and a few other scenic waterfalls. We tripped a breaker first night when a guest plugged in 110 volt rated power strip and Gudlaug had an electrician there within hours to check things. Modern appliances and kitchen and very clean. Sipping coffee in the living room while gazing out the picture windows over looking the waterfall made it hard to leave the house every day. We hope to return very soon.
