The place is an easy drive to amenities, including state park trails. We were there when the weather was extremely windy so we were not able to Enjoy the outdoor tables or front porch, but they looked they would have been a wonderful place to drink coffee. It was a good location for visiting the park.

This was by far one of the the best, if not best, stays I've had through Airbnb. Everything was as described and the hosts were incredibly responsive to general questions and also to offer any thing we needed, if it wasn't there. But our group found this place well equipped and supplies so there was little to wish for! It is set among the San Felipe Hills and is very quiet and peaceful, clean, roomy (can sleep as many as 10). The surrounding area is gloriously beautiful and the hosts made our stay feel like we already lived there. I would highly recommend Country Cowboy Hot Tub for anyone? It's just a short drive to plenty of activities in Borrego Springs or access to the more quiet and peaceful mountain valleys and towns. If you have the opportunity, take this place! It's a bargain and an experience you will never forget.

My daughter and I were in San Diego to visit colleges and decided to spend a few nights away from the city. Matt and Jessica’s home was absolutely everything we could have hoped for in a mountain retreat. The home is private with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, impeccable decor, with lots of upscale and homey touches. They even had my favorite faux fur blanket throws that I love at home. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the hot tub was clean and a great way to relax at the end of the day, and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a 7 minute drive into town, where we enjoyed lots of pie, delicious breakfasts, and local shopping. We also went to the San Diego Safari Park for a day (about an hour away) and the Imperial Sand Dunes (magical!! About 1.45 hours away.) Matt and Jessica were gracious and responsive hosts before, during, and after the trip. I highly recommend this rental and hope to be back!

Jayasree was a fabulous host. So responsive and thoughtful - we were greeted with a lovely cake welcoming us upon check in! The beds were super comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. It was lovely to sit outside in the backyard and enjoy the fabulous view. Overall an amazing stay. Thank you!

Outstanding farm experience, hosts made it extraordinary!

James was an amazing host who held my hand through all the details and complications that come with a wedding. Our daughter got married at Mt Woodson a gorgeous venue only 10 min drive from the Dell. We hosted 9 guests very comfortably in the main house and the adjacent ADU. Everyone raved about how beautiful and serene the setting and that they felt so at home. Before the wedding the hair and makeup crew attended to the bridal party in the master suite and it was ideal. Photographers came for first look photos and we got some beauties. The day after the wedding we hosted a catered brunch for 45 guests in the back patio and there was plenty of seating areas for all. There was an extra event fee to cover a large party but so worth it. Not every air BnB will accommodate but James was both gracious and even gave me referrals to caterers. Thank you James for giving us a place to welcome our family for a joyous event and eager to find a reason to return. We have lots of champagne left

The photos don’t do this place justice. The home was so comfortable - it had everything we needed. The yard is massive and the dogs enjoyed running around. The games in the garage and the barn were so entertaining and it kept my family and I busy. The beds are extremely comfortable and Courtney left us a small welcome tray which was incredibly thoughtful. Communication was great. Courtney is a fantastic host. We LOVED our time in her home and we made some very special memories. We can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful little a-frame!!! My fiancé and I enjoyed everything about our stay at Dave’s, and Julian in general - the house had everything you needed to unwind and relax, amazing hot-tub, games galore, and a variety of tunes on record to keep the vibes flowing. The house was clean, exactly as pictured/described, and so was the outdoor space. The beds were comfortable with crisp sheets, and living space cared for - lots of blankets and pillows to keep everyone cozy! You can tell the hot-tub is well maintained and the fact that we were able to increase the temperature to get it hot was awesome. Dave was friendly, very responsive to any questions we had, and provided amazing recommendations for local eats and activities. Definitely check out Jeremy’s On The Hill, The Cooler for beer, wine, or cider tastings and live music, and Julian Beer Co for amazing Wood-Fired pizza. We can’t wait to come back!

This is the real deal... As a guest you will normally walk into a confusing situation but Jason's attention to the simple things "Labels" helped us immediately become comfortable with our surroundings. The property was very private and the enclose that Jason setup allowed our dog run free without any stress to us. If you're looking to disconnect this is the place.

This place is a piece of heaven away from home! Literally stop reading and book it now! lol But really this place exceeded all our expectations. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this place absolutely nailed it with what we needed: Reconnect with nature. This place is literally steps away from easy hikes with cool views, oh! and also an archery spot (with a bow & arrow), a horseshoe area and a bb gun spot. It's like a playground for adults! And I haven't even mentioned the beautiful cozy home with a hot tub that looks out to nature and stars, oh! and a firepit plus an awesome deck with a rocking chair overlooking your fenced front porch where you can see your doggos sun tan or run around. Oh and Jackie! Our camp host, welcoming us with freshly baked cookies, the most delicious allergen free cookies I've ever tasted in my life! Anywhooo this place is such a vibe and we will back! Thank you Jackie and Laurie!

Great place! So private but right in the center of Julian. It was a good group of us and there was enough space and things for us there. It was perfect. Thank you!

We had an incredible time at the Almost Heaven cabin! The cabin is the perfect mix of rustic charm and creature comforts, like the clawfoot tub, stocked kitchen, and comfy furnishings. The host was extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We had quite a bit of snowfall, and she took the extra time to send us a video showing us how to find the house in snowy conditions and where to park. We also appreciated all the special touches, like the hot tub being already warmed up when we arrived. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Our kids loved playing in the snow and then soaking in the hot tub surrounded by trees. As mentioned in the description, there are some stairs and uneven surfaces, so probably not ideal for someone with mobility issues, but the cabin worked extremely well for our family of four and our doggo. The downstairs bathroom was super fun… it reminded us of the Madonna Inn! Lots of quirk and fun to be had at this special place. We hope to come back soon!
