We had a fantastic stay in Otter’s Rest over February half term. It’s a really smart and well appointed chalet. There was plenty of room for our family (inc three kids aged 12, 10 and 4). The lodge itself was extremely clean and a really fun place to spend the week. It certainly seemed to us like the best site on the Shorefield Park. The beds were comfortable, and there were lots of toys, DVDs (though we just signed into Netflix etc - TVs in all the bedrooms and the lounge) and books. The location was great - just a short drive into the New Forest and a walk to the beach. The WiFi worked well and it’s got all the essentials for a great holiday.

From first booking to leaving Lucy kept in contact, we didn’t have any problems so was no need to contact her. Place was very good for the price we paid, Looking to go back in warmer months to enjoy more of the surrounding area. The caravan is well looked after beautifully clean, just like home from home. This was our second time staying at Downwood Holidays as we loved the first time so much! The glass house was perfect for us, and had everything that we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped if you are looking to stay in, with lots of space. The area is peaceful but still close enough to the local town if you choose to head out and about. There is no doubt we will be visiting again in the summer!!! Thank you Leyla once again!! ☺️

Nina is the most welcoming, friendly & helpful host we have ever encountered. She has created the most tranquil & beautiful home-from-home haven in The Hideaway. It is immaculate, luxurious, cosy & has everything you need & more to feel comfortable & at home. The detail, time, effort & love that has been put into creating The Hideaway seeps out of its very core. It is the perfect location for a get away - private & tranquil, yet within easy walking distance of the beach at Colwell Bay & its bars, cafes & restaurants. A beautiful property, managed by the most wonderful hosts. We were made to feel so very welcome & that we could relax & make ourselves, including our dog, fully at home. We were greeted with a welcome pack of goodies, to include treats for our dog. There’s nothing Nina hasn’t thought of to equip The Hideaway with every basic need & more - including dog towels & necessities, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities & even a hair dryer & straighteners. We’ll be back!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay there. It was beautifully situated overlooking a field of horses. The lodge itself was immaculate and beautifully designed. I could happily live there full time. We would all highly recommend this place. Just a few little negatives but they didn’t spoil our stay. It would have been nice to have an info pack, eg the heating was quite noisy and we would have liked to turn it off at night but didn’t want to mess it up. Also, my friend would have liked a hairdryer and we couldn’t find WiFi to connect to. If we’d stayed longer we would have asked but we were fine for the one night. In summary we all thought it was excellent and would happily stay again. Thank you for your hospitality including offering us early access and quick responses to our messages.

Absolutely amazing place with amazing hosts engage very well and couldn’t do enough to help us with regards to information to the local area and keeping us topped up with consumables i.e. coffee toilet rolls and towels ect , Lovely little place I would recommend to anybody , Thank you for the stay

Ben was a brilliant host at The Cabin. We had a lovely few days away and would highly recommend to all! A brilliant location close to shops and restaurants and super close to the seaside too. The Cabin was very stylish and clean inside, we would love to come back!

We’ve stayed here a few times now and it’s always been a great experience. Paul and Mel are welcoming, friendly and very responsive.

Wow!! Absolutely amazing place and will definitely be back. Both indoor and outdoor the cabin can’t be faulted. Husband and I and our two dogs had an amazing time. Wild ponies and deer visited every day. Walked onto a trail through the forest. 14 min drive to the beach. One of our dogs is reactive and so finding somewhere to relax is not always easy… the cabin was perfect!

Kerry cottage is absolutely gorgeous, full to the brim with cosiness and nestled in a beautiful area. What more could you ask for! We had a lovely weekend staying here and would love to come back again. Thanks Katie!

The ‘Little Cabin’ was the perfect base for our break. It was warm, cosy and clean. Very useful to have 2 bathrooms! Chrissy is lovely and communication is attentive. Exactly as described. The park itself was fairly quiet whilst we were there and it has family-friendly amenities. It is only a short walk to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. It was an incredibly clean space in lovely surroundings. Jan and Alan were both very responsive to questions throughout our stay. The lodge has everything you need for a very comfortable stay along with lots of little touches, fresh flowers on arrival was a lovely extra. I would definitely reccomend staying here. We look forward to hopefully staying again in the future.

Gemma and Alison were great hosts, very responsive to questions and lodge was as described. Was the perfect getaway location and accommodation for my family and dogs. The site is very nice and a short walk through stunning woodlands to the beach where we spent lots of time. The lodge is well equipped for all of your needs and in a lovely quiet area. Would definitely recommend.

Another lovely stay here. Even our dog settled in for the evening when we went out for dinner. Clean, comfortable and conveniently short drive to all the places you’d want to visit. We were here to see family but did drop into sandbanks to enjoy the sunshine.

We just came back from a fantastic stay at Sean’s caravan on the Rockley park Haven site. The caravan itself is in a great location overlooking the harbour and a short walk to the main entertainment/ pool/ restaurants and shop. It’s really modern and in great condition. We loved our cosy nights in with the fire on and would highly recommend staying here. The Haven site itself was okay. There is a mini- mart for essentials, a main restaurant, an arcade, a sports bar and the entertainment hall. There’s also a pool. The only problem I had was trying to book our play passes for the Haven activities. As we had booked on Airbnb outside of the Haven arrival/departure days we didn’t meet their requirements on the haven website but Sean managed to manually amend it for us. To be honest we could have done it at reception on arrival as there wasn’t a queue. All in all it’s a great caravan and we’d be happy to stay again. Thank you Sean

We really enjoyed our stay, was a last min surprise for my partner's birthday - and Sarah was a great host - very responsive, and had thought of all the little details. The bed was super comfy, the heater and the electric blanket made it a lovely, cosy space. We ordered breakfast as well which was delicious and really good value. It felt slightly on the pricey side for what it was but appreciate it is quite a unique offering in the area and we booked quite last minute. Sarah helped with recommendations for where to eat out and nothing was too much trouble for her. We drove into Swanage / the beachfront as I was heavily pregnant but the distance was walkable. There were lots of fun things to do in town, even off season. The guest book was testament to how many other people had stayed and loved it as well - thank you so much!

Really great caravan in a great location, Sandy Balls has loads to do and very close to some great trails in the new forrest. we had a great weekend away and had some lovely trail rides. The caravan is exactly what you want for a weekend off the grid, there is no cell signal or wifi in the caravan so expect a weekend with the kids off the screens, absolutely perfect.

We loved our stay and it’s perfect for families. The caravan is in a brilliant location and perfect for visiting Swanage and surrounding area. The caravan site is also brilliant and has a pool and shop and restaurant.

Had a fabulous 2 night stay at The Hyde. The place was absolutely perfect, just as described and equipped with everything I needed for my stay. Laura was a fantastic host, proactive right from booking through to checking out. The location was perfect for exploring the area and within easy walking distance of some great restaurants after a day exploring. The apple cake was amazing too!

A beautiful little cottage, in a very tranquil location with view on the sea in the distance, from the lounge. We only had one night and not enough time to explore but there is a 20 minute walk to the beach. Definitely a place to keep in mind for another time!

We had a lovely few days here. Walks along the cliff are just a few minutes away. We recommend you park your car at the house if you want to do Durdle Door or you have to pay 10 pounds/parking. Super walkable. We also recommend that in addition to towels, you bring hand towels, dish towels, and paper kitchen towels with you. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and pro-active. We truly enjoyed our few days here exploring Dorset with our 2 and 4 year old children.
