We had an amazing stay at Debbie’s farm! The property was absolutely beautiful — peaceful, spacious, and the perfect getaway for me and my two friends. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Debbie and her husband were such welcoming and thoughtful hosts, and you can really tell how much care she puts into the place. From the freshly baked scones and bread to the selection of candles and diffusers around the home, there was love and care in every corner The farm itself was stunning, with gorgeous views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. It was exactly what we were looking for to unwind and recharge. We loved every minute of it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. Thanks again, Debbie — we can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year’s Eve. The wood burner made it feel very cosy, and it’s really well equipped - it has pretty much everything you might need for a few nights stay. The location is perfect for walking - we did a couple straight from the cottage, with really varied landscapes which were absolutely stunning, including rivers, big vistas and farmland, ending with an excellent pub in Gunnerside. Just a couple of things, which wouldn’t bring my review score down but worth noting - we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, which didn’t really matter to us but worth checking with Harriet if it’s an essential. Also, the hairdryer wasn’t great so worth bringing your own if your hair takes hours to dry like mine! Lastly, the sound system is pretty old and doesn’t have Bluetooth, so better bring a speaker if you like listening to music. Overall, we loved the cottage and had a fantastic stay!

Claire's cottage is lovely, and is in a beautiful location. Romaldkirk has some lovely walks around, and the local pubs are great. Rose and Crown is a particular highlight, absolutely amazing food! The cottage had plenty of firewood for the fire, we didn't need anymore than Claire provided, but we went out for one of the evenings. The cottage could have been slightly warmer, and the shower isn't the greatest in the world, but I would only call it a 4.5 out of 5 because of this. We didn't let Claire know it was cold as it wasn't a huge issue and when the heating/fire was on it was fine. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining room was lovely. All in all, I would highly recommend the Airbnb as we had a lovely weekend. Thank you for hosting us :)!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Pat's place. The location is amazing and absolutely perfect if you want somewhere private and away from it all. We loved watching the sheep, rabbits and birds . The place itself is comfortable, clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the shower was excellent. Pat is a fantastic host! He was so helpful from the moment we booked and gave clear directions about how to get there and brilliant recommendations for local walks based on what we wanted to do. Thanks Pat for a lovely stay at your place. Hope to stay again one day :)

We stayed at Owls Nook Barn over 6 days for our wedding anniversary, and found it to be the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing break. The property is within the most beautiful natural scenery of Cumbria, and what Natalie and Mark have created here is simply stunning. Such a thoughtful and tasteful conversion of an old agricultural building, perfectly blending the original stonework and timbers into a fresh and modern setting, with all the functionality that you could wish for. The mezzanine floor within the living area is a fantastic idea, and all the bedrooms have their own charm with well appointed and stylish adjoining bathrooms. The outdoor space was a real highlight, with expansive decking and garden area which our dog loved, plus a fantastic sauna and hot-tub combo for us humans. The welcome pack and instructions were very well presented, and Mark was so helpful with any questions that we had. We highly recommend Owls Nook Barn, and really look forward to staying again.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. Right next to the hotel to have a lovely pint looking over the village. Will definitely look to stay here again!
