I stayed with my partner for a long weekend and this little flat was an absolutely lovely place to stay. Definitely a good place to settle for a relaxing evening after sightseeing all day!

We love the place and its location—not far from the lake. The space, freedom, and kitchen amenities are really good. This will be our first choice if we return to the Lake District. Rachel is invaluable and responsive. Five stars no doubt.

This might be the best AirBnB experience either of us have experienced! The listing was super-accurate, the communication was really clear and fast, the flat was spotless, we had all the amenities and extras we could possibly want (including a self-published guidebook), the bed was comfy, and the family are all really welcoming and approachable. The Yan - the newly-opened bistro on-site - is also a brilliant place for breakfast and dinner, with excellent options for all tastes. All of this, and I haven't even mentioned the spectacular setting and view...! Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We had an excellent stay here. It was the peace and quiet that we needed. It was lovely to have the river flowing along past the window and we really enjoyed exploring the woods a short walk from the house. The kids loved the big slide!!

What a beautiful place to stay! Everything about this house was fantastic. The location was perfect right in the heart of Bowness with easy access to the lake, shops, bars and restaurants. Parking available for several cars (We had 4 but you could easily fit more). The house itself is just amazing with everything catered for all of our party which ranged from 21 to 80 year olds. The kitchen and dining areas are great and well stocked with absolutely everything you need. Plenty of space in the main living room for our party of 9 to all gather together. Bedrooms were all ensuite, well decorated and very comfortable. The games room with Pool table and hot tub was a great place to relax and have some fun, and the cinema room was fantastic. Great views from the balcony, up and down the Windermere valley. Communication with host David, was 1st class with immediate responses to any questions and a very flexible approach to requests. Would highly recommend and we will hopefully return.

The coach house was perfect for our one night stay and greatly appreciated Ruby's communication and hospitality. She had her place all setup for us too. Thank you.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Catherine's beautiful home in the Lake District! Our group fell in love with the place, and Catherine was an exceptional host. From the moment we booked, Catherine was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The listing has super helpful instructions to find the place, which was especially useful since we arrived in the dark. Her flexibility with check-in and check-out times was also greatly appreciated. The location is stunning, with breathtaking scenery right on your doorstep. The house was immaculately clean when we checked in, and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped. We loved exploring the area and returning to the comfort of our home away from home. We loved relaxing in the hot tub, listening to the soothing sounds of Stock Ghyll, perfect way to unwind after a hike. We can't thank Catherine enough for her hospitality. We highly recommend this property for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway in the Lake District. Can't wait to return!

We had a fantastic weekend away with friends in Upper Oak House. The house is beautiful and very well equipped, the hot tub being an added bonus. The house was spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. It’s in a great location with Windermere high street, with its great range of shops and restaurants just a 5 minute walk away. Bowness is a 25 minute walk away but there are regular buses which only take 5 minutes. We will definitely be back!

Incredible Space in an incredible location. It’s so peaceful and set in a location where climbs and hikes are on the doorstep. I don’t think the listing pics do the view justice. It is just incredible. We loved our stay. We were especially grateful for the help from the hosts when our car broke down. They drove us and our dog into Ambleside on checkout day - life savers!!

Cosy yet spacious quarters in gorgeous picturesque grounds. Perfect for a relaxing and peaceful break. All the amenities you could require too. Beds were very comfy too. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely fabulous. Otto was really friendly and helpful. The property itself is really high spec not stayed anywhere that comes even close. Comfy king size beds, great power shower in en suite. The size of the property is very deceiving from the front, once inside wow, extremely spacious with a large garden and patio area. Within walking distance of all shops, pubs and the lake. All in all exactly as it says on the tin, well done to all who have worked to make and maintain this property definitely worthy of its 5 star rating. Would definately recommend and would love to return.

Our stay was perfect, the apartment was spacious. The beds were super comfortable the rooms were big and we had a great nights sleep. The cleanliness was also really impressive, probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed, you can see the hosts put a lot of time and effort into making everything perfect. I also found the brochure to be great as it told us everything we needed to know about the property and even had some restaurant recommendations on there. Location was great, just up the road from the busy areas and in a nice peaceful setting. 100% will stay here again next I visit.

Really good value for money, great stay in a well equipped property, in a beautiful place, excellent base for exploring the lakes. And a minor issue quickly resolved by our hosts.

Fantastic weekend stay......the flat is accurately described and shown in the photos. Communication was excellent from the moment we booked. Comfy beds, crisp linen and fluffy towels. We ate in and the kitchen had everything we needed. Log burner very welcome as it was typical February weather in the Lakes! Pub at Hill Top very cosy and welcoming. Queen's Head at Hawshead too. We had a fantastic stay with our two dogs! Craig was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout, always responding quickly with clear and detailed instructions. The location was perfect—just a short walk into the local town. The cleaner was also lovely, offering plenty of useful tips to enhance our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay, and we’d happily return!

Luxury apartment with a view to match, overlooking Ambleside pier, the lake and mountains. Exquisite! Full use kitchen. Chaisse overlooking the lake is the perfect spot! Comfortable seating in front of large screen TV. Can't wait to come back!

Fantastic apartment with parking, 15 min walk to the town, Spotless apartment with great facility’s, The bed is so comfy didn’t want to leave and the little pack for the dogs was a really nice touch we definitely return when next up in the lakes.

Perfect location to explore the south lakes with a short drive to both Windermere and Ulverston. The views are great and the accommodation has everything you need to feel at home.
