What an amazing place and what a privilege to stay here. We loved the flat, its history and location. Super walks straight out of the house, right on the bus route and a great pub just down the lane.

Yvonne’s place is absolutely perfect. Spotless, comfortable and cosy. So peaceful to relax and for a good nights rest. A short walk to a selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and the sea. Lovely shower and comfortable bed with a well equipped kitchen. Yvonne was, friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Full 5 stars!

Modern, spotlessly clean caravan. Loads of lovely touches, teddies, games, hair straighteners, iron, air fryer etc making it a home away from home. Nice big secure decking so we could let our dog out without worrying about him. Views are lovely around the caravan site and it’s a short drive to Morecambe. Had a nice relaxing weekend away.

Absolutely love this very calm tranquil retreat , comfy beds, lush carpets, cosy log burner used every night , 10-15 mins drive to Kendal, Windermere, Bowness other places only 30- 40 mins drive Hawkshead, Ambleside, Lakeside … so a great base to explore the area … would highly recommend this retreat… Loved our stay Many thanks The Baxter’s

We booked quite last minute after deciding we wanted to get away for new year and so glad we found this little gem. Joanne was extremely quick to respond and gave really helpful recommendations of the local area which we utilised. The house is spotless and so cosy! Beds really comfy and it’s so quiet at night, we slept so well! Perfect for me, my partner and our 7 year old who loved the twin room.This home had everything we needed and more, was the perfect base for us but then felt like a home from home in the evening to relax. We ventured to the local pub Harbour Hotel for a drink early evening on New Year’s Eve and everyone was so friendly. We did the coastal path walk and went to the park (2 mins away) which was lovely even in the cold weather and also ventured into Conniston, utilising the Chinese take away in Millom on the way home. We were just gutted we couldn’t utilise the lovely garden area but have said we will come back in the summer to take advantage!Perfect host & home!

Anke and Matt went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Parking can be tricky. Very well equipped kitchen and utility area. The rooms are spacious. Antique furniture gives it an old world feel. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Spent 3 days at the cottage. Perfect for the 2 of us. Really clear instructions provided beforehand on how to find the cottage as it is tucked away. The cottage was lovely, peaceful, and full of character, and the beds really comfortable. It's location is superb and central. Six pub/restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and the start of the Cumbria Way walk is around the corner. The WiFi is strong, (as I needed it for work). Would definitely stay again.

The photos don't do this property justice—it truly exceeded our expectations. The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with every detail attended to. Jane was incredibly welcoming and made sure all the information was clearly communicated, which made check-in and our entire stay effortless. The location was excellent, placing us within walking distances to numerous restaurants and hiking trails. The property was not only great value for money but also wonderfully family friendly. We truly hope we can stay again sometime soon!

Ash cottage was the perfect place to stay for me, my mum and my baby, super clean, very spacious (bigger than the photos let on!) and in a great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in central Windermere, but in a quiet cul de sac itself. Would 100% return!

Was a lovely stay. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Felt very at home as soon as we arrived. Very peaceful area, convenience store only a minute away. Kim the host was very friendly and responsive. Would 100% stay again if I was in the area.

We had an amazing time, probably the best UK holiday we’ve been on! The cottage is incredibly cosy but spacious at the same time. There’s so much to do and see in the immediate vicinity. Can’t wait to stay again!

We’ve just had the most amazing stay at the apartment with our 6 month old for our “mini moon”. The apartment was spotless, had all the amenities we needed and was in a great location - it’s a great base to explore Bowness and Windermere. The apartment is up a hill, but we found this manageable pushing our daughter in her pram. Julie was an amazing host with quick communication and even decorated the apartment with balloons , flowers, chocolates and Prosecco for us which was a lovely surprise. Would recommend to anyone and will be staying again next time we visit the Lakes.

Beautiful attached cottage / apartment beautifully decorated immaculately clean good hearing lovely and warm with flame effect log burner very peaceful / private no noise from adjacent properties Easy 15 mins walk to cartmel village we did return walk several times when we were there late night return road dark as we were there in winter - need to use torch via phone but not a problem Would definitely recommend this place and would like to return

Excellent and cosy stay in a comfortable basement flat. Very quiet setting with lovely views from the door and a beautiful quiet garden to utilise. Walking distance to Grasmere and onto the hills. Everything of good quality in the flat and easy to access and park. Highly recommended

Absolutely amazing stay!! Me and partner don’t drive but there’s amazing walks and cheap taxis if yu need to go far. The apartment felt like a home it’s so peaceful and clean!! Only down side as someone with curly thick hair is the shower pressure is so bad🥲 but other than that I would 100% come again recommend the stay to everyone and the price is amazing. Ps. Sorry I left in a rush so it’s a little messy I tried to clean but boyfriend made a mess again😂😂 Thank you so much for having us!!!

We stayed in the apt for the second time and, like the first visit, we absolutely loved it 😀. It's like home-from-home - all the comforts but without the housework! There are lots of local walks and plenty of cafes/restaurants within easy walking distance so you don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to. Thank you for another great stay, Lesley!

Had a lovely stay at this apartment. Kitchen provided all the amenities you require for a weekend stay. Apartment was located ideally a short walk into Bowness and equally a not much longer walk into Windermere. Would highly recommend this apartment for a weekend stay - Thanks Kylie!
