We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was homely with everything you need. The Lord Nelson pub was just perfect with some very friendly locals and a great pint! Ingrid and Ric were thoughtful hosts who provided us with useful local information and a pint of milk to make a cup of tea at the end of a long journey! A lovely village and an amazing cottage.

We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable and relaxed in the cottage. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and more. There was a great shower with plenty of hot water, the beds were very comfortable. We were able to park the car directly outside the front door and Martin left the parking permit for us in the front room. The cottage is situated just a few minutes walk from the main town centre which allowed us easy access to the shops and restaurants. I would like to stay again in the future.

We booked really last minute and Bethan as great. Very quick and clear communication. House was exactly as described and worked perfectly for what we needed. The bathroom is a particular highlight, very clean, nicely decorated with a great shower and bath. We will definitely look to stay again whilst visiting family in the area.

As always cottage, was beautifully clean and prepared for us and our dog. As we ate in this time were impressed that all the utensils needed were there, hosts were as attentive and welcoming as always. Highly recommend the cottage and will definitely be returning.

Perfect property & location as we were visiting family in Harrogate. The coach house is very spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely welcome basket of goodies & bubbly. Annalisa very helpful with instructions and information of local eateries. Would definitely return. Gillian, Mark and woofies

Cottage located on smallholding where you are entertained by the hens, cockerels, pigs and sheep! Feels remote and peaceful but within 10 mins drive of amenities. One bathroom, which was very accessible for someone with mobility issues. Lovely treats awaiting us on arrival. A warm welcome and great communication from hosts!

We stayed here for my mums 60th birthday. We had 5 couples and 2 small children. It was fantastic. House was beautiful. Location was quiet and peaceful but lots of things to do in the surrounding areas. House itself was well equipped, my 3 year old loved the train set in the living room and the childrens books. Lots of places to sit and relax, as well as all being able to sit together and eat as a family of 12. Garden was suitable for dogs however we decided to leave ours at home for a more stress free weekend. We did make use of the garden and the beautiful view by hiring a photographer to capture the weekend. Thank you for a brillant stay.

Wow, we loved our stay at Michael’s place and he really is a super host. Couldn’t fault his service in any way. The house itself was perfect for our group, left clean and comfortable by his lovely cleaner (Mum!). Michael was also super responsive and receptive to our needs and really friendly guy. The location itself was perfect to our needs, tucked away but still local and central. Thanks Michael, we will definitely return!

Easy to locate, but couldn’t find the reception to check in, maybe worth putting a big sign up. Once checked in at the pub/restaurant, which was lovely inside and had an outdoor seating area, where there was 3 deers wandering around, the staff were very welcoming and friendly On entering the estate it was clean, tidy, well spaced out and inviting. Our lodge was easy to find and could park right outside the door, making unloading the car a joy. The lodge was clean, spacious, warm when needed, well equipped, tastefully decorated, bath and shower in bedroom, we loved it. The hot tub was out of this world, it wasn’t warm, but hot! And the jets were powerful. I was floating around not a care in the world watching so many stars, as there’s no light pollution. If you’re going to eat at the restaurant, please go well before 7pm, as it closes Very early and we missed out. All in all, we would most definitely go back, for the lodge, hot tub, peacocks, deers, peacefulness and location.

Four generations of our family enjoyed a memorable weekend at Harlequin Cottage. Finding somewhere to suit toddlers, the elderly and a dog wasn't easy but this felt like home from home. Angela fielded an array of questions from my family with patience and provided a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the flock of wooden ducks, the toiletries and views.

Wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting with amazing walks and a lovely pub on site. We will be coming back again with out family.

Absolutely loved our stay. We had a disaster with an abroad holiday and booked a lodge as a last minute trip away to regain some sanity. I messaged via air BnB early morning not expecting a response but ended up getting a reply straight away. Everything was as described. We brought our dog who absolutely loved the walks around the ground. She saw a fear for the first time and didn’t quite no what to make of it 🤣 We are already planning our return ❤️ Thank you so much for being great hosts & for anyone that stays I recommend the English breakfast in the restaurant xx

Went with our 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren and it was just perfect. Great Welcome hamper and all our names on the welcome letter. Ducks with everyones name on. Lovely view and the hot tub was well used. Fantastic amenities everything you would need. Great hosts easy to contact. Thanks again for a memorable family weekend.

The cottage was just what we wanted, quiet, private an enclosed area for the dogs & a hot tub to relax. The weather was beautiful so made use of sitting out in the evening with fire pit. There was a huge field opposite cottage for dogs to run on & a lovely restaurant on site - we made use of the lovely circular walk around the grounds. We had a great long weekend

Myself and my two sons thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Angela's caravan. She was a wonderfully informative host and got back to me quickly with any queries during our stay. The place was lovely and clean and warm and the beds were very comfortable, we arrived a little later on but access was easy following Angelas clear instructions and it was nice being able to arrive in our own time. We enjoyed a relax with films on Amazon Prime Video after a fun filled day out at Stockeld Park which is relatively nearby. Overall I'd highly recommend 😃

I spent a great four nights at the cottage. In fact, I spent more time in the cottage than expected as I picked up a cold just before arriving and was fully house-bound for two of the full three days I had in Holmfirth. The cottage was both very cozy but also quite spacious - when on the mend those couple of days I really appreciated having that ample room to keep away the cabin fever. And I really appreciated the Netflix! lol The property is wonderfully located in a very quiet and pleasant area yet only a kilometer or so walk into town. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom had ample hot water and water pressure and the bedroom as quiet with great blackout curtains and a very comfy bed. The cottage was just the right temperature for me, clean, decorated with personal touches and cheerfully bright. Sarah provided very helpful information and was quick to respond to any questions I had and to proactively provide other helpful information, too. I hope I can stay here again soon.

This is the most amazing place, fully equipped with everything you need. Really comfortable bed, lovely big towels, you could basically just move in. My husband loved the wood burner. And the dog enjoyed the garden and fabulous walks close by This is our second visit and I will definitely be going back, Claudia is really helpful and the info in the cottage was brilliant- thank you for having us xx

Our stay was lovely. Property was beautiful perfect location for our plans and the communication before and after was great. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Me and my partner stayed for three nights for a little birthday get away. We had an amazing time, the hut was immaculate and felt so homely. There were many restaurants and cafes in the area and the scenery was beautiful. We had an amazing view of the horses in the field aswell! We would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of a nice, peaceful getaway but also somewhere that you can explore aswell. Thankyou so much Nic!

My second time staying in Petra’s beautiful home and I can’t wait to return. It is a home away from home. It is beautiful and peaceful with gentle birdsong throughout. Petra is kind and considerate and attentive. This is an ideal location if your travels have brought you to Wakefield or you need a base for a smooth commute to Leeds. The photos and descriptions are exactly as you will find in the property. There is off road parking at the end of a long driveway, right by the gate to the annex. Walking distance from a corner shop, pubs, co-op local, fish and chip shop, local library and a pharmacy. Short drive from a local train station and 10-15 walk to a bus stop that serves an express route to Leeds. I cannot recommend Petra’s gorgeous home enough and I look forward to returning again soon x
