We really loved our stay and felt right at home. Lloyd was there to greet us and we had a short quick chat. He even lent us their bikes to go around town. The house was clean with lots of space and all amenities needed. The most unforgettable experience was seeing all the stars at night and being so close to the lake! Would definitely stay here again.

A Lake Front Retreat

Amazing location and beautiful space with hosts who communicate extremely well (both through messages and the home guidebook). They’ve been at it for a while and you can tell based on how thoughtfully everything is laid out. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable and clean. Comfortable beds (and far more than needed for the three of us). Kitchen was clean and well appointed. All good!

Absolutely home from home with everything anyone could want for a relaxing and peaceful break. Don't even think about it...... just book it!! Sadly as a Brit we will not be in NZ long enough to repeat the experience.

Brand New with a View

Our family stayed here on the day of our trip to Milford Sound. When we asked if we could leave our luggages at the house slightly earlier than usual check in time so that we can travel the 2hours to Milford Sound without the luggage, Josh and Kelly said the house should be ready by then for an early check in instead :) Very kind and friendly. The house was as described and the street is very peaceful. The lake is at walking distance and is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend people travelling to Milford Sound to stay overnight:)

Rachel’s place was great with loads of space and everything you could need and was so private and peaceful and within an easy walk of town - even breakfast was provided with lovely apricots and granola with milk and yoghurt - Rachel was super helpful too and it was all really appreciated - highly recommend staying!

Lakefront Luxury

Linda’s place was immaculate, peaceful, and beautiful inside and outside. We loved using Manapouri as a base for our Kepler Track and Milford hikes. We also loved being able to walk to the lake, Church bar, and Doubtful Sound cruise. It’s close to Te Anu but feels closer to nature. You can’t ask for a prettier view or more helpful host. Perfect stay!

This house is beautiful, the hosts are really thoughtful the kitchen is packed with every utensil you could think of! The pantry is also well stocked. The beds were nice and comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Good location, 5 mins from restaurants, stores, must do’s like the glow worm caves and the gateway to the Milford Sound it is really an excellent location!

Elaine’s place was really comfortable and homely with lovely artwork. The upstairs bedroom and ensuite was particularly lovely. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and shops. We can also highly recommend The Olive Tree Cafe.

If you like quiet peaceful place with great views this is the place. A short easy drive to town for groceries or dinner. Great hikes nearby come home have beverage on the porch and watch the sun set with the sheep and horses (Mickey and Ringo)

We had a great experience at the Kahikatea House! The house was well equipped and had everything we needed for any enjoyable stay. The location is great for exploring the area - within walking distance to the Doubtful Sound excursion, a nearby pub and a picturesque walk around the lake. We loved the amount of stars you could see at night. Joris was a great host - very helpful and responsive.

Stayed here for 3 nights and the accommodation was very peaceful and comfortable. 25 mins walk to town but only 5 mins in the car and plenty of parking. Cruised Doubtful Sound, walked a bit of the Kepler Track and cycled the Lake2Lake trail too.

Modern Lakefront Holiday Home

This was such a wonderful spot to relax and unwind with our family. We enjoyed the beach, playground and hike up shirt tail track. Both the corner cafe and flyer cafe were great. If you don’t want to be I. The craziness of Queenstown but want to make day excursions there from a beautiful and tranquil spot, this is it. Just be prepared, the water is COLD!

The Little Lake House

Amazing and comfortable place, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains (with two patios). 4-5 minute drive to so many restaurants, stores, etc. This place was the best we stayed at in New Zealand.
