Alison’s place was perfect for two young families. Incredible location, so central to the shops and an easy stroll to the estuary. The house is really well equipped. Honestly, the photos don't do Scott & Miriam's home justice - there's so much light, warmth and character to this home and you can tell they put a lot of thought into both the structural layout for the family and the overall presentation for guests. Having rented 2 cars and bought another during our stay, parking space was also not a concern. The hot tub was lovely but I'll personally miss the lovely garden space (we thoroughly enjoyed the tomatoes) and the decking which was was perfect for relaxing and just staring out to the beach after a long day. Before even arriving, we were sent a very useful guide to operating different bits of the house as well as local recommendations; our hosts were always available to respond to queries and were quick to offer help. Massive thank you to Scott and Miriam for making us feel so welcome during our first month in NZ!

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

Chris was a fantastic host, he was very friendly and communicative. The house is in a great location - a few minutes walk from the beach / cafe / shop. The living spaces are well set-up for big groups, with lots of seating, dining space and crockery etc. There are two decks on opposite sides of the house which means you can get all-day sun. The price is reasonable for the area and the age of the house. If you're looking for a classic bach to get away with a large group we highly recommend Omaha Sands!

Great relaxed get away with friends. Plenty of space for 11 to eat and hangout. Decent beaches near by. Perfect for just chilling and playing games at the house. Rashika was very helpful and quick to respond. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend for a big group. :)

Amazing little kiwi back in a private Rocky bay. Awesome for quality family time or a group of friends. Will definitely be staying here again!

This house is absolutely stunning. It sits on a private beach with magnificent sea views and a big deck looking out over the ocean. It’s surrounded by native bush, loads of birds and a feeling of privacy & serenity. The ocean-facing doors and windows all open up so it has a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. There’s a lovely hot tub with a sea view too! Downstairs, there are the living spaces and upstairs, the bedrooms. The bedrooms are lovely - three large rooms with double (maybe queen or king??) beds, as well as two ‘kids rooms’ with twin beds and/or bunks. Two of the larger double rooms have private balconies & ensuites. It’s a beautiful & delightful house. Very well appointed. Perfect for a larger group, close to Matakana, Omaha and all of the lovely things to do there. We’ll be back! Beautiful spot, hard to explain in words how incredibly peaceful and special this spot is. We booked last minute to get away from the city and Linda was so helpful, highly communicative and it was better than we were expecting. We are also very grateful that we could take our dog, I’m pretty sure it was her idea of heaven!

We loved staying here. The Airbnb was immaculate. Absolutely beautiful restful and peaceful place. We loved walking by the river and the stars at night were amazing with no streetlights nearby. I went a watched stars sitting on the lawn for a while one night. The garden was beautiful. Dave and Maggie obviously love the garden as it really is lovely. The space had everything we needed. Full kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry facilities. The bed was really comfortable and we slept really well. Thanks so much. We hope to come back again.

Ross's place was perfect for a family holiday. Great little towns nearby with good cafes and markets. Beautiful beaches. Snorkelling. Kayaking. Not too far out of Auckland. The hosts were very responsive and flexible and even offered us a late checkout and another nights' stay as the place wasn't booked the following day.

11 out of 10 ! Claire was outstanding as a host. Spacious, off-street parking (plural), private, clean, fully equipped, comfortable, squillionaire views with almost ‘private’ beach access. Maybe someone didn’t mention the great outdoor shower for getting rid of beach sand ? This place is perfect for family gatherings. There is only one thing not perfect about this place….having to leave !

The house is just a stone’s throw away from the beach, which made it super convenient for daily trips. It was well presented, with a high standard of cleanliness throughout. You can tell the house is well-lived in, as it has every utensil and necessity you could possibly need – making it feel like home. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped spot by the beach for a family. Will definitely stay again!

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Mangawhai. The house was spotless and spacious with a beautiful big garden and Katy was extremely helpful and responsive over message, including setting up a portacot in one of the rooms for us. Another highlight was the location, and we really enjoyed taking the path leading from property to walk along the estuary to the tavern for dinner. Really enjoyed it and would love to stay here again in future.

Alysn was great very helpful instructions for getting to the house. Such a beautiful house and location, wish we could have stayed longer.

Pacific Rendezvous is a great place to stay on the Tutukaka coast. It's within a short distance of the marina, restaurants, other facilities, and fabulous beaches. The resort has private beaches and lots of activities, such as tennis and a playground. The staff are friendly, warm, and accommodating of guest needs.

Wonderful spot with a comfortable house and outstanding pool! our family loved the great outdoors entertaining area and enjoyed our Christmas week stay immensely. Thoroughly recommend this property.

We love our stay at Greg's place. It's a great place to stay with the family who likes privacy and calming surrounding. It's close to town and beach, love the spa and pool although it was ice cold during our stay but I bet it was great on a more sunny day 😅 Overall, its worth the rate and love it!

Andrea and Mike were very kind and responsive. The couple run the place rather efficiently and respond to the customers' requests very quickly. We found that the ensuite bathroom was a little smelly and the hosts were trying all their means to eliminate the odour for us and even offered to switch to another available suite for us - surely they care for their customers. Thank you Andrea and Mike, we had a great time at the kohinui cottage! Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, amazing place to be!

Megan’s home was gorgeous! Even better than the photos look (if that’s possible) everything you needed there so peaceful and the scenery was something else. Megan was responsive and super helpful. Thank you for everything. Hope to come back to stay again in the future.

This is very nice place to stay. A quiet area with some good walks. My situation was a little different as I wasn't on holiday and wanted somewhere quiet and reasonably close to the hospital where I was visiting my husband each day. The property is off the road and there are auto gates. As I was on my own this made me feel very safe - on top of which Genevieve was in the main house a lot of the day. It was comfortable and cosy (given my stay was during the winter) and Genevieve and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend and if I ever need to be in Whangarei for any length of time I hope I can use this accommodation again.

Matt and family were lovely welcoming and generous hosts. The newly renovated, incredibly large home was fantastic, situated on a large, private property up a country road. We were unfortunate to have shockingly wet weather for most of the time despite it being summer, but the spacious house with many areas to lounge and great sound system, meant we could all relax without being on top of each other. Matt aware of the bad weather set up the table tennis table for us in the large garage which entertained us heaps. And many outdoor baths enjoyed on the enclosed wrap around deck with great views. The kids enjoyed feeding the friendly chickens. The area itself is fantastic with many beaches, vineyards and lots to do, with Matakana only a short 10 min mite drive for coffee and pastry runs! We were kindly treated by Matt to some of his whitebait fritters, which I’d recommend going to the Saturday market for. Thanks Matt and family for a great stay for my family visiting from the UK.

Diese Unterkunft übertrifft alles, was wir bisher erlebt haben. Hier stimmt alles, von der Sauberkeit über die Ruhe bis hin zu Annehmlichkeiten des Anwesens (Pool, Spa, Tennisplatz, Terrassen, Feuerstelle). Anna und Brian sind unglaubliche Gastgeber. Wir kommen wieder.
