The White House was a perfect weekend getaway from the city and exactly the technology and cell phone detox needed! Totally accessible by normal car as clearly stated by the host - the property is beautiful to walk around and well marked. The house itself had everything needed to cook, clean, braai, relax and everything in between. The hot tub was amazing to sit and relax in and watch the stars go by at night! Reminder to bring bug spray though! Was amazing to wake up in the morning with the blinds up and see the landscape. Will definitely be back!

Breathtaking views and such a good location. Had a little difficulty getting up to the cabin with my car but it is quite low. Overall had a great experience!

Wow!!! What a gem of a place!! Unbelievable location and surroundings. This is definitely the place to go to when you want to get out of the city. The owners are just as nice as this place is beautiful. We will definitely be back. I also hope you get to meet Japie - kind soul who loves lamp tjops :) And go find the waterfall!!!!

What a lovely stay at Thuula Havens. I’ve been eyeing it for a while, so happy I finally went. It was everything I needed. The communication was clear and so were the check in instructions which we appreciated. As you walk in, the decor makes you at peace, the location is secluded and perfect if you’re looking to switch off from the buzzing of the city. The hot bath was easy to use. The bathrooms are immaculate. I love the 2 shower heads. It’s close to the Hemel en Aarde wine farms which are lovely. I’d recommend anyone to experience Thuula Havens. Ps. It is in nature and there’s a beehive and you get occasional visits from the bees (which we welcomed).

One of the most amazing places. My boyfriend and I stayed there for two nights and it definitely wasn't long enough! The home itself was very substantial and had everything needed. It was situated in one of the most beautiful places with a dam and lovely wildlife. A lovely place for a break away. Would definitely go back again!

Stunning in so many ways. A mini majestic waterfall, a beautiful dam with incredible views and awesome floating, awesome hot tub. And even a cave we didn’t manage to visit this time. Lovely experience with the best host possible.

By far the best accommodation that I have stayed, and I have stayed at quite a few all across the Western Cape. Beautiful scenery. Spent most of the night in the hot tub, looking up at the stars and the satellites moving across the sky. The cabin is completely isolated so you have complete privacy. Perfectly clean accommodation. Has all the amenities you need. The cabin is modern and styled beautifully. Susan was a fantastic host, extremely kind and responds swiftly to any questions you may have. I could not recommend it enough. I will definitely be back!

My stay at River Song was a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely out of this world – right on the banks of the Bruintjies River. The birdsong at dusk and dawn, and throughout the day is marvelous, including owls hooting in the evening, and the fish eagles' calls during the day. Although the cabin can get quite hot, one can open the windows on all sides to allow a flow of air throughout, and to feast your eyes on the lovely views. Kayaking on the river was another highlight that was awesome! The river is quite serene and the scenery exquisite, especially in the morning. The water is lovely for a swim as well. Although I was on my own and working all the while (strong wifi), the cabin would be ideal for a family getaway. A deck built between some of the tall Eucalyptus trees right on/over the river, has a table, seating and even a shower for lovely days spent outside. I'll definitely book again!

Good stay, cottage had all the essentials for self catering stays. Marc also provided a clothes airier which was not in the cottage.

We loved the stay at the 'green' cottage. Lea was super friendly and helpful with checkin and any advise on activities to do around the area. Our 2 year old was in heaven listening to the lions roaring from the neighbour's animal sanctuary, after dark. Lea kindly allowed us to drive through their farm to view the Zebra and Eiland, 4x4 probably recommended. The cottage was clean and kitted out for our short stay. A braai under the closed verandah made a rainy night magical. we hope to be back.

A lovely cabin for a weekend away. There is strong cell signal, and the road in is rocky but manageable if you drive with caution. Views are great and cabin is very clean, and functional. Everything you need is there.

Amazing little get away place, with river right in front of you, definetly had a relaxing stay.

A friend and I needed a few days to get away and relax. This was the perfect place for us. Quiet and serene. We enjoyed walking a bit and the swimming pool was so nice on a hot day. The house and kitchen are well set up and the lounge furniture is very comfortable. Great care has been taken to make sure that guests are very comfortable!

A great place to stay and a great location. Lovely walks along the cliff top, accessible to restaurants and town. The accommodation was spotless and had all we needed for our two night stay. We hope to return!

Marcia's place is a must stay if in the area. Absolutely stunning views of the dam and mountains. The cottage lacked nothing and the terrace sitting area was so peaceful. Would highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this, “out of the way”, log cabin. It is great value. Geko is a modern day Mc Guiver and he has made this place a great place to stay if you want to get away and have some peace and quiet. The place is functional and spacious and the balcony is terrific for sitting and reading and provides a great vantage point to watch the spectacular sunsets over the valley. Geko is a very friendly and helpful host. The place was excellent value and I highly recommend this place in every way.

From booking to checking out this was a pleasure. Mike was informative and communicative. But best of all was the delightful accommodation- so fresh and light, elegant in its stylish simplicity with attention to detail. The kingsize bed was very comfortable, the little open plan kitchen was all we needed, the shower pressure was great and the pops of colour happy-making. We were in Stanford for a wedding weekend and it was a perfect stay over, place to get ready and a welcome ‘home’ to return to in the early morning hours! Just wish we had given ourselves more time to enjoy the mini-courtyard! Bird’s Nest Cottage will definitely be our go-to place next time in Stanford.

Amazing location, cosy little cottage, a lot to do and see and amazing horse rides. Stephanie is a great host - helpful, quick to respond and very kind. If you are looking for a great off-the-grid getaway to recharge, I highly recommend it.

Great stay , amazing place in nature. Loved the fact that we could be “noisy” and ourselves. We even had the pleasure of seeing a bokkie/kid eating berries infront of the house! Would be even more amazing if they add a hot tub. All in all it was so worth the drive from CPT
