Our stay at Curt’s guest house was truly unforgettable. Not only were we treated to one of the most stunning sunset views we’ve ever experienced, but we also had the incredible bonus of a pet donkey who quickly became a highlight of our stay. It’s not a luxury Airbnb but a place to stay and enjoy big bend and surrounding . The house itself is perched high on the mountain, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the desert landscape that seem to go on forever. Every evening, we gathered outside to watch the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant colors—definitely a highlight of the trip. We will definitely be back.

Mark and Michelle were amazing hosts. They provided directions, recommendations and were great with communication. The RV was cute and beds were comfy. Outside was the best part for the kids (and adults) - hours of exploring, animal watching and playing. Great memories were made!

This was probably the most amazing Airbnb stay I have ever had. Right off the bat, Curt was so friendly and totally hilarious. We loved hearing his stories and getting the lay of the land! Make sure you call ahead of time because you will need the verbal directions but as long as you follow what he says you’ll have no problem getting there. He predicted down to the minute when we would reach the place! Unbelievably gorgeous and Maggie was an absolute delight there’s nothing like waking up to her cute little face in the window ready for her carrot! The hot tub was hot and ready and the perfect spot to watch the sun go down with a couple of beers. We will definitely be back and I can’t recommend this place enough. The living area has double sofa beds and they were so comfortable even our 6’2 friend was more than comfortable! The bathroom is huge and has its own heater as well. The view from the commode is to die for! Overall, 12/10 stay if you ask us. Thanks for everything Curt!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lajitas at this property. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The unit had everything we needed and more. Comfy beds and living room furniture, well-stocked kitchen and bathroom toiletries. The evening sunsets out on the patio were unbeatable. Quiet and serene, just perfect. Hot tub was a nice touch after a day of riding motorcycles in Big Bend NP. Would stay here again without a doubt.

We loved our stay, Ronda is really nice and helpful! The place is quiet and remote, really amazing!

We had a great time at Linda’s place with our two kids. Her house is a lovely little museum where you feel cosy and at home. Very nice backyard where you can enjoy the sun and the peaceful neighborhood.

Perfect Airbnb vacation experience. Beautiful and spacious (guessing approx 2200 sq feet) home in the heart of downtown Alpine, TX. Great for walking around town, or as a base for daytrips to surrounding Ft Davis, Marfa, and Balmorhea. Linda was a wonderful host and responsive when we reached out to her. Fantastic guest manual with everything you'd ever need to know about the house. Our family has been coming to West Texas for many years and stayed in many Airbnbs--this is now our favorite and we plan to come back again soon. Highly, highly recommended! Thank you, Linda!

Ron & Lisa were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly. The cook shack and porta potties were great amenities. Ron’s directions and tips for park I and Terlingua activities were awesome.

Beautiful views. Great for bird watching and relaxing on the porch. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was good because we made food “at home” several times since there aren’t many restaurants in town and they aren’t always open. Make sure to check out the star party at the Marathon Motel just next door. You’ll need a reservation. Easy access to Big Bend Park, and also to the town of Alpine, which has more restaurants and a bigger grocery store.

Fabulous views, lovely toilets and shower and close to the National and State parks just above the Terilingua Ghost town. A Great option for camping. Marc was a great help sorting out which of his spots was best for our mix of a car and 2 solo tents.

Jaime’s Off-Grid Earth Bag Home was beautiful and private. We enjoyed all the artistic touches. The glass doored outside shower was amazing! We found interesting creatures in the surrounding desert as well which was a main goal for us traveling to Texas. The whole place was so well thought out in such an arid environment and Jaime provided VERY clear instructions on how to make everything still homey and comfortable. If we ever travel to this area again, this would definitely be where we would stay again.
