Great place we have stayed at multiple times when we come to visit Big Bend! Great host. Very proactive with his communication. Also very much appreciate that you get what you pay for with the cleaning fee! Not a long list of todos when you leave. Great experience!!

The home was a great experience living off the grid in a beautiful location. We enjoyed all the outdoor living and the amazing sunrises and sunsets everyday. This house is well equipped and cleverly designed with many surprising amenities. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Big Bend. Perfect home and perfect host!

Jaime’s Off-Grid Earth Bag Home was beautiful and private. We enjoyed all the artistic touches. The glass doored outside shower was amazing! We found interesting creatures in the surrounding desert as well which was a main goal for us traveling to Texas. The whole place was so well thought out in such an arid environment and Jaime provided VERY clear instructions on how to make everything still homey and comfortable. If we ever travel to this area again, this would definitely be where we would stay again.

One of my favorite places I've stayed at. My Wife loved it as soon as we walked in. Big Bend isn't far away and of course the roof top for star gazing was a plus ..had all the amenities bed was so comfortable definitely coming back.

Awesome off-grid container!! Completely secluded and exactly what I was looking for!! The container sits on 20 acres surrounded by mesas, mountain tops, and the vast openness of the West Texas skies. I did not encounter another person for three full days. The location of the container served as a perfect jump off spot for trail riding on ATVs and UTV’s. You can head right out of your camp and ride for the entire day! I will definitely be booking here again. Austin was very responsive and super knowledgeable about the area.

We loved this tiny house! It was so cute and comfortable, and set on a beautiful landscape with no other houses nearby. The rooftop deck was amazing for sunsets and stargazing. We had a little trouble finding the house only because I forgot to read the instructions before we left! I called Ashley (on the little cell service that we could find out there) and she called me back right away and set us straight. My only surprise was that the house was indeed a lot farther from Terlingua than we thought - it's 30 miles north. We therefore got up really early in order to get into the park and secure parking, but I would say that it was worth it for the comfort and beautiful sunsets at the house. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb, located just 30 minutes from the Big Bend entrance. The location was absolutely perfect—peaceful, private, and surrounded by the beauty of the desert. It felt like the perfect escape from the noise and distractions of everyday life. The space itself was very cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. We loved how quiet and serene the area was, and the clear night skies were a highlight. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near Big Bend!

We really enjoyed our week long stay at La Paloma. The location was perfect- near the town but still perfect for star gazing. And the tiny home was beautifully decorated and chic. I have already recommended this stay to others!

We had a great time. Home was clean and instructions easy to follow. Make sure to read host notes (sent ahead of time). Visiting Big Bend NP and relaxing on the covered porch after hikes and day of travels. Entrance into Big Bend NP is just minutes away however park is large so expect to drive 30 min or more to any destination inside park. During our visit time we had no issues with lines into park, also parking at the Lost mine trailhead was congested but we had seen open spots after 1pm. If you want to hike this trail either get there real early (like 7am) or in the afternoon after 1pm or later. We did not see any issues with parking at other locations in the park. Grocery store is minutes away, same with gas station. Road is unpaved so be prepared for some dust. We had 2 major storms coming through in the nights we stayed, building hold up well but make sure not to leave any items outside as they could be blown away. We will stay here again in our next visit.

Peaceful desert experience under the night’s sky. Quiet, clean, within an hour of the park, and about 35 minutes from the restaurants/shopping in Terlingua. The outdoor fire pit is a wonderful spot. Four chairs, lots of wood available, and materials to cook over the open flame. Be mindful that water conservation is critical here. The shower was nice and warm, but don’t expect to have a spa experience (water will run out and take a bit to “refill”). This is a very small space. We had 4 adults, and you should plan on living out of your luggage. There are storage shelves in the rooms, which are very helpful. Energy use should also be limited. Don’t run too many appliances at once. (Pro tip: turn AC off while cooking, or wait to use the microwave until you’re done using the stove top).

Sits on dead end street, limiting traffic. Close enough to downtown to walk. Javelina, mule deer, & coyotes visible from front entrance.

The casita was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to unwind after a day of exploring Big Bend NP. The host was very responsive and provided clear directions to the location. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

If you are looking for a rustic, completely private and quiet getaway, this is the place for you. Short drive to Big Bend and Terlingua. The beds are comfortable and the place has some nice unexpected amenities.

We had the best time at Daniel’s place. The hosts were incredibly helpful and so kind. We looked forward to chatting and absolutely loved our stay. We will be back for sure!

Wendy was awesome & very welcoming & even allowed us into the cabin early since we got there earlier than expected. The cabin has a great ac/heater & the view of the stars was amazing. The bathroom was intimidating with using a bucket instead of a toilet for the bathroom but it was clean & gave privacy & easy to get used to. Be sure to conserve water for the shower if you want hot water. Be aware to buy extra wood & some fire starters if you want to use the fire pit. The beds were very cozy & comfortable as well. Over all it was a very cozy & private area & easy to find. The drive to Big Bend was also not too far. The cabin has all the essentials for a short visit & basically gives you what you need to get by for a vacation stay. I recommend staying there & would stay there again if in the area!

I look so hard to find star gazing locations in dark skies that live up to our expectations. This one is THE ONE i will drive 6-7 hours to come to over and over again. I read, slept walked, and then stayed up to see the magnificence of the heavens at night. I counted 17 satellites in 30 minutes and we saw 2 passes of the space station. Got up in the middle of the night after quarter moon had set and there were MORE STARS. No TV needed and WIFI works great. I did some work, streamed some Britbox and chilled out! We loved it and saw birds, muledeer and evidence of wild pigs. We got 1 inch of snow too!!! gorgeous and delightful.

Penni sent great instructions for finding the cabin safely and getting in unassisted. She even let me know that it was available before check in time the day of my arrival. She also responded to my question about directions from another route, and checked in on me via message during my stay. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains. I would recommend it to singles and couples looking for a getaway near Big Bend National Park and close to Terlingua's restaurants.
