Met family and spent Thanksgiving together here. It was absolutely home away from home! The house was so well stocked with everything! Fantastic location and breathtaking views. Easy drive into town to stores and great local restaurants.

I must say the host was very quick to reply back whenever I had a question the house was as described and had everything we needed street was very quiet checking in and checking out process was easy and the house was close to everything will definitely recommend staying here

Sarah has a beautiful home right on the water, with very clean and comfy beds, bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen with all the appliances for cooking (from salad spinner, coffee pods, and air fryer), and a working grill. We loved the screened patio and view from the dock, really comfortable indoor and outdoor space. There was plenty of space for our group of 6 to have a writing retreat with shared meals. We also took the airboat adventure tour that operates next door, with friendly and colorful guides, we saw so many alligators on the tour (but not in the house) and birds. The national park nearby had lovely walks. This was a fantastic retreat and break from the city, would love to stay again. Sarah is also extremely responsive - answered any question within moments, and her written guide in the house is super helpful. Thank you Sarah!

We loved our stay at Pelican Pier! Everything on the property was as beautiful as the pictures, all amenities were exactly as outlined, and there were many thoughtful touches offered by the host to encourage maximum enjoyment of the waterfront property. We have 4 boys (ages 8-14) and they loved the dock. We caught crabs, went fishing, and played on the small sand beach. It was too cold and windy to kayak but it was very tempting. The house has just enough common space and very nice bedroom arrangements for a family. Bringing an extra adult couple would have also worked. The house is not in a populated area - which we felt was part of the appeal! Slidell is close enough for quick trips. Downtown New Orleans is a 45 min drive but reasonable for day trips. We would definitely consider this property again if going to NOLA again.

Lesley is a super responsive host! Her place has all the creature comforts of home plus beautiful views of the rich flora and fauna all around! Y'all, I cooked so much and didn't have to worry about any pots, pans and/or utensils! Emphasis on Creature because expect to see lots of them! I love that so I was in heaven! Be sure to bring your favorite bug spray when enjoying the outdoors. Getting to the fishing dock was a 45 sec walk that I did as often as I could! The bait shop is just a few min walk away as well. We were there during some super windy days and I remember letting the swaying rock me to sleep...after I got used to it. One thing we did find that is no fault to Lesley in the least is that it can be difficult to get rides into and back out of NOLA via ANY ride app. Consider renting a vehicle if you plan to go in and out of the city. Otherwise, earlier scheduling of rides should help. Thanks for letting us stay at your place, Lesley! You're a Saint <3
