Really nice place, plenty of amenities and sleeping options to suit groups from small to large. Hot tub, Sauna and plunge pool are a real bonus!

Fabulous cottage. A real home from home & fully equipped kitchen. Lots of character, was initially worried about the stairs (spiral), mastered them after a few times. Great hosts & attention to detail.

Really enjoyed our little stay in this lovely home. Gaynor was really friendly and welcoming and the place was even better than expected. Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable and we couldn't fault a thing. The views from the back of the property were beautiful too. Thank you so much Gaynor!

Amazing place with great road links to nearby Brecon Beacons. Plenty of space for our group of 7 and very friendly hosts. We loved the hot tub! One of a kind place to stay, thank you for having us!

This was a lovely place to stay for my birthday weekend. The location was ideal, being 20 minutes away from the Four Waterfalls hike it was just what we needed. It was clean, tidy and homely. Lewis was a quick and responsive host, ready for any questions we had. Thank you :)

This is a unique property within easy reach of Cardiff, but far enough out to feel like you are in the depths of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Lesley is a fabulous host who came up to check everything was ok soon after we arrived. She also presented us with Welsh Cakes, milk and biscuits which kicked off our stay perfectly. I would highly recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet in with your Cardiff and surrounding countryside trip. Perfect.

Fantastic stay shame the hot tub took so long to warm we started the fire at 3pm stirred every 10-15 mins and added new logs frequently but still Luke warm at 10 pm shame but still maneged to use it x did have a slightly fousty/damp smell in the unit but after a few squirts of perfume wasn’t as noticeable

Directions to site were easy to follow, however the final instruction for the site entrance was stated as "Black Sheep", but the sign says "Black Ewe". Assuming there may be more than one site at the location we continued on for a short while before realising the error. In the car park is a small hut for firewood and "Snacks for Ewe", with 2 vending machines inside. The cabin itself was perfect for us. Blu-tooth speakers in the ceiling are easy to connect to and made our chosen music for the occasion even more enjoyable. Hot tub was perfect, and the view of the sky from the decking was spectacular given the good weather. Two juice bottles to welcome us was a lovely touch. Would love to stay again.

We had a great stay at the pods, we stayed in Chester’s Cove. The place was easy to find, the instructions sent beforehand helped as the postcode does go a little further up on the country road. The pods are private and have everything we needed. We especially liked the written instructions for everything inside as this made it easy to use and find everything (we are a neurodiverse couple so big green flag for us!). The hot tub took a while longer to heat up *but* we weren’t stirring it often enough as we learnt via Google, so make sure to stir every 5-10 minutes to make sure the heat doesn’t all rise to the top - rookie error. Overall a great stay and good communication from hosts.

Wow wow wow! We had such a wonderful time at The Roost, and we can’t wait to visit again! Kath has done an amazing job making her place warm (even in FREEZING weather), cosy, and welcoming, there were so many thoughtful little touches that surprised us that it will be difficult to mention them all! We stayed at The Roost for a short Valentine’s break, and I wanted something different to surprise my boyfriend with. Everything was of exceptional quality, including super warm and cosy bedding, sparkling clean shower rooms, a very cool kitchen area with board games provided, environmentally friendly toilet roll and cleaning products, and also a great set-up for bikes, with bike racks inside the cabins and a bike wash area. A personal highlight was the mouthwatering homemade Welsh cakes left for us in our cabin, these were delicious and I could definitely have over-indulged! Kath was incredibly accommodating to us when the weather forecast had predicted a very bad storm, reaching out to check if we needed to postpone our trip, and then allowing us to do this at no extra cost. All in all, we had a superb time and can’t wait to visit again (hopefully when the weather is warmer!)

Amazing place very relaxing and cosy, only stayed one night but would have loved to of stayed longer, the view was beautiful, would definitely recommend to others, very clean inside, really can’t fault this place, can’t wait to book and stay here again in the future,

Delightful comfortable cabin in lovely location on farm. Very clean. Well decorated and maintained. Some lovely welcoming features which were appreciated. The only reason we would probably not return next year is the distance from the centre of Porthcawl where we need to or at least to public transport be as we prefer not to drive each day but for anyone happy with driving it would be very convenient.
