This home is gorgeous! Simple & modern with lots of convenience. Upon arrival, it was very clean and everything was easy to find. There was also a little (and yummy) gift waiting for us when we checked in. The pictures matched reality. We loved that the bedrooms were downstairs especially with young kids and the main living area & kitchen are upstairs. The hot tub is also a very nice feature. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to visit again soon!

We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

PAM &J.P on été extraordinaires. Nous avons été ravis par notre séjour et sommes tombés en amour avec la Nouvelle-Ecosse. Les animaux étaient un extra inattendus. Gustave va beaucoup s’ennuyer de Maple. Petit commentaire QUI N’EST PAS UNE CRITIQUE. Le réfrigérateur n’est pas très grand alors, ne pas faire une trop grosse épicerie à chaque fois. Nous sommes arrivés avec trop de choses et tout ne rentrait pas. Mais encore une fois ce n’est pas grave. Il y une épicerie pas tres loin. Ça se fait très bien. Faut juste pas prévoir trop longtemps d’avance si vous avez une grosse famille comme la mienne. La piscine est extraordinaire!!!!! Près de pleins de belles plages . Nous avons passé un super beau moment en famille!!!

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! We frequently travel as a large group and are used to splitting up due to our size, so finding a place that can accommodate all of us is a challenge. Melanie and Thomas went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we couldn’t be more grateful. With 17 of us staying under one roof, you’d never guess there were so many—it was that spacious! The house is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need, from kitchen essentials to speakers and pool toys. Melanie and Thomas are truly the most kind and welcoming hosts we’ve ever encountered. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate—just book it! Next time, we’re definitely staying for at least three nights because we weren’t ready to leave!

Nancy's backyard Brooke home was gorgeous when we first walked in you could tell that it was very clean we loved all the plants it was very spacious beddings were very clean and comfortable both washrooms were very clean downstairs was very surprising had a small gym lots of board games one of the largest TVs I've ever seen great for movie Nights the kitchen was fully equipped it was easy access Nancy even got my mom a bottle of wine for her birthday celebration honestly the host was great we had no issues it wasn't as private as we would like as my mother is a very heavy smoker but the backyard was amazing the deck was super large the pool was amazing she had lots of furniture the only thing that would have made the rental even better is if she had a hot tub because the pool was cold this late in the season and it would have been nice to get into a nice warm hot tub after the swim I had no complaints about the rental I only wish Airbnb gave me more space to write a better review

I would say the pictures don't do it justice. What a beautiful house and property. Sitting on the front lawn drinking my coffee listening to the silence was perfect for a city gal. So peaceful and serene. The house was cozy and the beds with down comforters was perfect for the chilly nights when we were there. The weather was warm enough during the day so we were able to take dip in the pool, which was very clean. The house was generous with its towels and blankets. You can tell a lot of thought went into decorating the house. It was tastefully done without feeling like you were in a museum with fragile pieces. A comfortable and cozy setting. A perfect vacation to end the summer.

Our family’s last get together to end the summer and it was perfect for us. We loved the outside area and spent most of our time sitting outside on the deck overlooking the lake and pool and the campfire was so nice to have as well. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you!

Our group had a wonderful stay. The views were beautiful and Bob was an extremely communicative and helpful host, making sure he introduced himself to us and made sure we knew to ask if we needed anything at all. One thing to note is that the owner lives in an attached unit (which was not communicated in the listing) however it was not an issue for our group and he was a very pleasant neighbor.

My sister and I treated each other to a holiday sleepover in the woods and it was perfect. The sauna was the best part, but everything was lovely. Will absolutely come back.

Our stay at Mark and Kassy’s home was comfortable and relaxing.The home was spotless and well organized.The kitchen appliances and bathroom are in excellent condition and well appointed.There is back porch with a grill,gas fire pit and outdoor jacuzzi which we did not use. The home is located a short distance to the center of this charming peaceful town. We highly recommend this property and would stay again the next time we’re in Lunenburg.

We stayed here for 2 nights in March. We lucked out on the most beautiful weather. The space was beyond anything we could imagine for a relaxation retreat to celebrate a birthday. The space had everything we needed to cook, clean and be completely restful. There were extra pillows, blankets, amenities within the showers. The hot tub and sauna were amazing! the huge windows and natural light were a nice touch. All the light switches, and dials were clearly visibly labeled and easy to use! Jordan and his team were responsive, we had no issues or needs our entire stay! Will book again, and highly recommend staying at this amazing ocean side location!

What you can imagine from the photos, but don't quite understand til you arrive, is how you will become part of nature's day here. The rise and fall of the sun, the moon and the tide are all on display from this little house by the sea.

What a beautiful spot! The house was immaculately clean, they had all essentials, and it came as advertised. Would definitely stay again!

My 3rd time staying at Ross's place - 1st time in the Winter (previous times in the Fall). Lovely place for a peaceful and quiet getaway. Look forward to another stay in the future.

The place is beautiful. Lots of seating. Tons of character. Great water pressure. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Kevin was very attentive and very quick with communication. We couldn’t have been happier.

The place was exactly as advertised. Good location and lovely surroundings. The little town was perfect for our stay and we had everything we needed right there.

Very nice property on a lake. Very modern and well built cottage/house with a nice paved driveway right to the door. Saw a couple of dear passing through the yard during our stay, which was nice. Had one issue while we were there and a text response was quick. Very peacefully spot.

Jenn's country home was exactly as portrayed. It was truly a home away from home. With a family with tons of individual needs, Jenn delivered. She was an excellent host and responded within a timely manner to all messages. I loved that I got what I paid for🤗 I would definitely reccommend a stay at Jenn's.

Had a fantastic stay in this charming barn! Charlie & Rebecca did a great job designing this space, it's a perfect layout and creates a very cozy space, everyone felt right at home. Our two dogs loved it as well, the property is full of walking trails and felt very private and safe for them to roam around, and there are so many good smells! They loved laying in the sun on the big deck, and we loved laying in the hot tub! It was the perfect couple nights of relaxation. The lack of microwave is a bit inconvenient, but the kitchen is beautifully equip for all your cooking needs! This is a wonderful little retreat in a beautiful, quiet landscape, with amazing beaches and scenery all around.

Had a great stay, awesome location with a great space. Communication was excellent, highly recommend if you’re staying in the Lunenburg area.

Can’t say enough about how beautiful this space is! The house is even better than the photos (which are also very good). Our group loved the space, the gorgeous view, and its walkability to Peggy’s cove and various restaurants and shops. We even loved the bed linens so much we tried to figure out where they were from lol! Absolutely recommend this home for visitors to NS or locals looking for a weekend getaway:)

Great stay at the Atlantic for 9 adults! Beautiful home blending an historic house with modern amenities. 2.5 baths was a blessing on a busy wedding weekend. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to enjoy our family Christmas under one roof. Spacious and so cozy all in one! We loved the fireplace and the easy access to the beach. There was a snowstorm when we were there and so we were nestled in all day. It was so beautiful to watch the storm roll in and feel so comfortable!
