From the moment we arrived caitríona was there to greet us and show us around. The cottage was so cosy and warm the hot tub was ready for use and stayed warm all night really enjoyed sitting outside under the stars and how peaceful an quiet it was the whole trip was so enjoyable and the pizza oven was fab not to forget the 2 doggies who were so friendly pottering around. 100% recommend staying here will be back in the furniture. Thanks so much for having us and been a fantastic host.

Had an amazing stay here, the place was really cozy on the inside. Rosie provided good suggestions on walks that were good for any level of ability. Felt welcomed to the area, very cozy and was welcomed with a lemon drizzle cake on arrival! Would recommend!

A great place to stay for an escape from the city. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and the wood fired hot tub is a great bonus. Very clean bathrooms, a good, functional kitchen and one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in made for a fantastic stay. Rhys was very responsive and helpful, a real gem in the countryside.

A beautiful, spacious cottage in a stunning location. There are plenty of incredible hikes nearby & coming back to soak in the hot tub with lovely views was wonderful.

Just had the most wonderful stay at The Potting Shed. James welcomed us and made sure we had all the information we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The shed is beautifully decorated with two generous double bedrooms, 2 roomy bathrooms and a well resourced kitchen . The rural setting is idyllic, it’s not often you can watch barn owls going out to hunt from a hot tub! Would highly recommend

The cottage is within walking distance from the train station approx 20mins walk. beautiful promenade park situated close by. cottage is peaceful with contrasting cottage core vibes with the log fire as well as modern luxury with the hot tub. The morning sun rises we're a beautiful viewing from the cottage conservetory. The location is wonderful and happy to say the local parks ornamental gardens and promenade have had a facelift lots of gardening work completed. architecture and local history and photography was the aim of my short break and I very much enjoyed it. many thanks Gemma

wardhall cottages is a perfect peaceful retreat. Great fire, laid and ready to light on arrival. Huge bath beautiful countryside with easy walks to a woodland with the dogs. Near to Cockermouth for shops and cafes and close to Allonby for beautiful beach walks and sunsets.

Had a great stay, lovely area, accommodation was perfect for us, would consider it again when visiting our favourite part of the world. Plus perfect host.

A beautiful cottage in the perfect location. 20-30 mins from every major place you could want to go. Cosy and homely with a lovely sunny garden. Private and secure, a real Norfolk countryside stay! We loved our stay, everything we needed was provided and Scott gave us all the information we needed to allow easy check in. We can’t wait to come back again, hopefully for longer next time. This is a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s in a great location to explore Northumberland but very quiet & private. We self catered but there were plenty of places to eat out in walking distance if you want. We self catered and every piece of equipment you need is in the kitchen, including an air fryer. Our only disappointment was not getting to use the log burner as it wasn’t cold enough !!

Church Cottage is absolutely beautiful both from the outside, with a wonderful, sunny garden, and the inside, which is beautifully furnished and comfortable. There is a huge amount of space with the two sitting rooms, dining room and 4 bedrooms, and the whole place is extremely well equipped. There is even a second fridge, as well as a freezer, washing machine, dryer and microwave. We had a wonderful time sitting in the "snug" in the mornings before moving onto the sunny patio, and getting comfy in front of the fire in the living room in the evenings. It's a short walk to the coastal path and to the seal trips at the quay, and an easy drive to restaurants and pub in Wells or Blakeney. Sadly, the Anchor pub right by the cottage seems to have closed down. The steam train from Holt was also a fun thing to do. We can all thoroughly recommend this beatiful cottage. Louise sent really clear instructions about how to find it and was super helpful in all her communications. A great host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma's place. The secure garden was great for our dog to roam whilst we relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day following plenty of walking around the Lakes. The cottage itself has loads of character but everything you need for your stay. We were fortunate to have the weather to make use of the gas BBQ. Emma was very welcoming and chilled with the fact we had a good run up and arrived half an hour before check-in time. Nothing was too much trouble and the fresh eggs were delicious! The cottage is just a 10 minute drive from Windermere, (20 minutes to Ambleside, 30 minutes to Grizedale forest), so whilst it's not in the throng of all us tourists, we benefited from the peace and quiet when we wanted it, but nothing was too far away. We'd also highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Staveley, just a 4 minute drive down the road. Hopefully we'll be back!

Such a peaceful location and the highlight is the hot tub which is very private - great to relax in while watching the sunset or stargazing. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped with great facilities. We enjoyed a short local walk, a trip to Sandymouth beach (lovely cafe with great views) and visited Dartmoor. Would definitely stay again!

This is easily one of the beautiful, peaceful places I've ever stayed!! The cabin is laid out really thoughtfully with all the necessities available and a super helpful guidebook! the bed is super comfy and the space is just very inviting and relaxing to sit and listen to a record or enjoy the fireplace! hot tub is a can't miss and the tiny peaceful creek running below the cabin is like a magical fairy river. Alexandra was super helpful when we had a bit of a hiccup with the washer dryer unit and wound up giving us a tour of the hydroelectric facility and a ton of wonderful suggestions for the remainder of our stay! I am leaving here absolutely thrilled to plan my return - this time the daffodils and snowdrops were in glorious bloom! and the sheep are SO CUTE

Very comfortable cottage ideal for a relaxing couple of days away.

We can't recommend this property highly enough. It's in a lovely, tranquil spot with woodland walks virtually on the doorstep and we loved the feeling of staying in part of such a lovely house, not least the former well in the kitchen and the giant fish pool to the front of the building. The sitting room / kitchen is well equipped and comfortable but the bedroom stands out with its vaulted ceiling, great bedside lights and fabulous view. Wish we could have stayed more than two nights. Simon and Gail

My children and I had a fabulous stay at Jane’s place. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and Jane had provided everything we could possibly need. We will definitely be staying again in the future as the cottage is a short walk away from family. Hopefully next time the weather will be better and we can make use of the amazing garden! What a hidden little gem! Was greeted by Jenny who explained everything about the cottage and surrounding area. Cottage was so cosy with some really nice touches. Garden is beautiful and watching the birds and squirrals was was just lovely to watch in the morning. There is so much to see and do in such a stunning location. Super nice hosts and would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage on a private farm. Easy to get in, minor problem on arrival which was quickly solved even though late at night. Lovely weekend.

Lorraine and Larry are fantastic to deal with - very responsive and helpful. The location is absolutely beautiful. Very picturesque. The cottage has everything a small family needs. We had a long trip down and the easter eggs on arrival were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend a visit to The Windy Valley Cottage.
