We had the pleasure of staying on Davaar island over the Christmas period and it was magical! Peaceful, stunning views everywhere you look. Ned was super friendly and helpful and shared wonderful stories with us! The house was warm and cosy, even in 70 mph winds! Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We took our 2 Burmese cats with us and they had a great time exploring the island. The Jesus caves are a must see! Highly recommend staying on the island if you are looking for a more “off grid” type experience…..

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful views, comfy bed and a great host. I’ll be back for sure!

An unforgettable stay! This place is truly one of a kind - set on a small island with its own wood-fired hot tub, it felt like a secluded retreat. The uniqueness made it feel extra special, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into creating the perfect getaway. We had such a relaxing and memorable experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. Can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely time at Fiona’s, the hosts were very friendly and were on hand for anything we needed. We wanted a quiet, peaceful holiday and the hosts were very accommodating in giving us the space we wanted. The home was really cosy with spectacular views from every window. When our ferry was cancelled Fiona went out of her way to make sure we got home safely. We would definitely stay there again. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

Collanmore Island Lodge is unreal, couldn't recommend it more! We had the best stag weekend ever here and Ciaran is a absolute gent. Getting to the island is easy and exciting, beds are comfy and facilities are top notch. Ideal for big family gatherings or any type of West of Ireland getaway. I will be back again for sure, thank you Ciaran and your great team.

Our stay on the Isle of Lewis was made so much more incredible through meeting Dolina! We were welcomed into her home with homemade scones and tea and an amazing home cooked meal. Her home was very close to the Great Bernara hike and beautiful Bosta Beach. It's about a 45 minute drive to Tarbert in Harris, and about a 35 minute drive from Stornaway. We saw stags, seals and sea otters while walking around the small village. Dolina provided everything we needed and went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home, and did I already mention the homemade scones? Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet location to explore Isle of Lewis.

Jerry was a very responsive host lots of information. You also get a app to use which is very helpful with clear instructions on how to access the property useful information with apps and gadgets and also local restaurants and shops the cottage itself was beautiful amazing views hot tub was fantastic beautiful surroundings very private would very highly recommend and will most definitely be staying again and a big thank you to Jeff for being an amazing host. I’m very helpful.

This was so much more than an Airbnb… a truly unique experience where I was made to feel so welcome. The cabin has everything you need and was so cosy with the log stove and fairy lights. The hosts really are the nicest people with such passion for wildlife. I really can’t thank you enough for sharing your wonderful space and wildlife with me.. is truly appreciated. I’m already excited to return next year!

I took my business guests from middle east, we stay 2 days they were impressed by the place and surroundings, I recommend this place it's very nice and peaceful.

My little family have just left Jerry’s property and really enjoyed our few days there. Very peaceful,lovely surroundings and not far from Lancaster and Morecombe. My little man enjoyed having his own room and bathroom, his favourite bit was the bar stools in the kitchen. I absolutely loved sitting in the kitchen and looking out of the window looking out at the garden. Awesome rainfall shower and bath. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well

Our time at Davaar was absolutely amazing. The place looks even better than in the pictures. Felt incredibly cosy and relaxed. Toni and Ned are wonderful hosts that made our stay perfect. The cabin is equipped with everything you can possible need. Waking up with those views was absolutely delightful. What can I say but wow x Fantastic studio with the most fabulous views from out of every window. We were blown away by it. Hubby is a birdwatcher and enjoyed every second, spotting Golden Eagles and Sea Eagles daily. The hosts, Peter and Mary were excellent, lovely and friendly and most helpful and accommodating. Without a shadow of a doubt I would recommend everyone to go and stay in this beautiful studio.

Peaceful, idyllic cabin in stunning remote island setting. Toni and Ned were incredibly helpful throughout, . The cabin is exceptionally well equipped - they’ve thought of everything! It was the perfect escape from city life for me ( and my dog). I would love to go back. Thank you Ned and Toni.

Hi! We've spent 2 wonderful weeks at the house. The view is absolutely magnificent. Directly on the sea, secluded and therefore perfect for a break from everyday life. We have also been able to watch otters and seals. It is just so beautiful there. Everything we needed was available in the house. There was even wifi, so we could research and plan our day trips well in advance. Ronan could be reached super fast if you had questions about the house or anything else in advance. Thank you Ronan for such a wonderful stay!

A beautiful spot and an enchanting hut. Jinty was wonderful beforehand, meeting me at the boat and giving me directions, and popping by after a polite while to see if I needed anything. Thank you. Jinty helped me feel safe and comfortable. The fire lit easily, the chimney drew perfectly. The views were divine. The sky was perfect. The wildlife and flora/mosses are amazing. Thank you. 10/10

Lovely house with views of the sea. This area very convenient for Stornoway, the airport and its immediate surrounds. Apparently the area the best place to see whales. We didn't but we did stand by the nearby lighthouse very hopefully - taking in the stunning sea and views across the Minch.

What can i say. The Boathouse is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Its so peaceful and serene in the most idyllic location overlooking Strangford Lough. Aileen is a pleasure to meet and really pulled out all the stops with the "little extras" we didn't expect. On a good day you can sit and watch the sun rise and on a clear night you can see the beautiful starry sky with no light pollution. Our dog loved running around the extensive grounds and we even enjoyed a game or two of tennis! If its rest and relaxation you are after you wont find a better place than Simmy Island. We had the perfect stay!
