What a glorious setting! Peaceful location with nature all around. We didn’t see or hear any neighbours - utter tranquility compared to our usual hectic schedule/ semi-urban surroundings. The house was easy to find with clear instructions; there were thoughtful additions such as a full log basket, plenty of loo roll, laundry detergent, basic cooking supplies like oil/ seasonings and extra towels were available if required. Clearly a lot of thought had gone into making it homely. Host was responsive and helpful with recommendations and instructions - even maps of the best canoeing spots! We had a very peaceful stay and teenage kids loved it - even though it was autumn, we still enjoyed the lake, swam, hiked, went canoeing, and toasted marshmallows in the fire pit. If you’re looking for a city rush with lots of buzz, look elsewhere; for peace, beauty and the outdoors immediately available, this is a great spot!

Our family absolutely loved our stay! The beach was sandy with shallow water - perfect for swimming and kids play. We felt rejuvenated after trips with the kayaks, wood fired saunas and coffees on the dock. The location is close to shops and restaurants as well. The cottage had all the amenities and was squeaky clean. The hosts were very responsive and proactive with their messages and never left us hanging. We will totally be booking again. :)

Booked for my dad’s fishing trip and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay. He had no complaints and definitely wants to book again for next year!! Communication with host was seamless and I would highly recommend booking with Caitland!!

We stayed at this cottage for 3 nights, and it was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip up to Northern Ontario. The rooms were spacious and clean, accommodations were as detailed and everything worked fine. Check in was easy and the cottage is set up in a way that loading and unloading was easy as well. Kayak and paddleboards were fun to use, only wish there was another Kayak as we were 4. Good fishing on the dock and great for one or 2 families All in all, everything we wanted for our trip! Would recommend this place and would also stay there myself again

Thanks Robert for his hospitality, although we forgot to bring cooking oil with us, he was able to provide it in timely manner. We are looking forward to coming back to his lovey barn loft any time in future.

Enjoyed our stay at Glenn Burney Lodge. Owner was very helpful and communicative, proximity to restaurant was great, privacy and seclusion of cabin made us comfortable on a first trip with our dog that he wasn’t going to annoy others if he barked a lot (which he didn’t…yay!). Overall, a very positive experience.

Kim and Mark’s place was absolutely perfect. We’ve never stayed in an Airbnb that was so well-designed and fully stocked with everything we needed—from kitchen appliances and bathroom essentials to even boots for walking to the waterfront. We especially loved the walk to the waterfront, which became a daily activity for our group. We hosted a family reunion/wedding in the space, and Kim was incredibly accommodating to all our needs. Check-in was a breeze!

We had a group of 12 get together here to celebrate my wifes 40th birthday, and we had an excellent time at this cottage. It feels nice and secluded, with tonnes of indoor and outdoor space to just hang about and enjoy each others company. We would definitely rent this place again.

I give this property a ten on ten! It is stunning, great views everywhere and so private. The only problem was we had fall weather in August but that is just life! Being true Canadians we still swam, kayaked, my nephew even paddled out at midnight with the full moon shinning. The fire pit was used extensively, late into the night! James was terrific. If you get a chance to rent this place, don't hesitate, it is a winner.
