Very responsive friendly host. Lovely cabin with everything you needed in the centre of Wells, but very quiet and secluded. Enclosed courtyard great to let the dog out 1st and last thing , with a table and chairs. Bed very comfortable as was the sofa. Lovely and airy inside

Gorgeous location! Comfy cabin, with everything I needed. Lovely friendly hosts and it was great to receive a freshly baked loaf of bread on arrival, plus jam, butter and milk. Museli and oats provided for breakfast too. Lots of lovely hot water in bathroom adjoining the cabin. I'm tall so the shower height was a little low for me (standing in the bath), but it was very easily worked around. Next time I'll bring binoculars and my camera, as the wildlife down the lane heading towards the river was wonderful. I also loved that the cabin is located near World Horse Welfare (although it was unfortunately closed due to an infection - but I could see the horses in the fields). Also great walking/cycling around the lanes. I was visiting the Norwich and Thetford areas and the cabin is conveniently located between the two. I'd love to stay again and definitely recommend the cabin.

The Gig Cottage is a lovely place for a break or to explore the area - Liz gave us heaps of ideas for things to do but it was also lovely staying home in the evenings and enjoying the fire. Liz met us as we arrived and had a lovely, personal message for us along with fresh scones, jam and cream - so welcome after a long drive. The internet was excellent and fast which was great!

Absolutely wonderful stay we cant wait to return! As the listing said so much to see and do probably the best base we have stayed in to explore the many coastal towns.Everything you need for a comfortable stay ! Beds are so comfortable which is a huge bonus and the sunrise views if you get up early are beautiful. Thank you so much !

Arrived in the dark so had slight delay in finding the right house but Christine came out to help and showed me to my rental. Plenty of treats and more than adequate breakfast were there but I didn't need any local info as I was visiting family. Slept exceptionally well in the comfy bed. Garden was lovely even at this time of year.

I just spent a beautiful week end with my partner at the Music Room. It was so peaceful and restful, out of any noise and perfect for a rest!thank you Dulce and her lovely family (including cats and chickens ☺️)

We spent a lovely couple of days at Neil’s place and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place itself is really lovely - extremely clean, in brilliant condition, homely, and with a well appointed kitchen. There are some lovely extra touches that make all the difference and the surroundings are peaceful with a beautiful view - we loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels in the trees. The games room downstairs is a massive bonus and was a lot of fun to hang out in for the evening. Neil was very helpful and should there have been any issues (there weren’t) I have no doubt they would have been sorted quickly. All in all a brilliant stay and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning, thank you!

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Michelle’s place. The property was well equipped and very clean. The bed was comfy so we slept well. It’s surrounded by lots of countryside to explore. There are beautiful beaches just a short drive away too.

I will definitely stay again, Accommodation was faultless, the room was lovely and very clean with a big shower and cute kitchen. There was also a outdoor seating area looking at the fields and could walk down to the pond and see the ducks. Teresa was very helpful

We had a wedding to attend. Harriet’s place was perfect. Comfortable, clean and in a lovely setting. Sitting out on the patio offered up a a great view of the countryside, birds and some relaxing quiet. Bread, butter, jam, milk and biscuits and some freshly cut flowers were provided which was a really nice touch. Harriet was proactive in providing information and was available to contact.

A very relaxng home from home experience in beautiful surroundings.

What a lovely stay we had. Jason gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and showed us around. The Pumphouse had the wow factor right from the start. Beautiful views from the lounge and kitchen of the manicured garden. All you need in the kitchen to self-cater if you wanted and lots of useful eatery recommendations in the thoughtfully prepared manual. We enjoyed sitting outside in the garden after our days exploring. The whole place just felt really homely but even better. I would definitely recommend and hope to get a chance to return.

We had a wonderful relaxing and peaceful break. The barn living area was very spacious and light with outlook onto countryside, yet Southwold and the coast were quickly and easily accessible. We hope to come again one day.

We had a group of 7 people staying for two nights and the place was perfect! Such a lovely area and a beautiful and clean house Could not recommend more! Great hosts couldn’t do enough to make the stay as amazing as it was x

A PRIVATE AND PEACEFUL PARADISE Working in schools, I found this property thoroughly relaxing, peaceful and private to return to at the end of the day. Draw back the curtains of your bedroom window and you're likely to see many garden birds, crows and jays plus owls sweeping the field at dawn. Deer are also frequently in the field. This is a simple and straight-forward property with a tiled floor throughout but with carpet in the bedroom. Recently redecorated complete with brand new double glazing and good lighting. The heating is from a couple of new no nonsense convector heaters that are more than adequate for the space. The kitchen is fully equipped and the shower room/toilet is also beautifully tiled out. The bedroom is small but comfortable with a double bed and some wall-mounted desk space that's very useful for laptops etc. Off road parking means that your vehicle is safe, secure and always easy to access. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location for exploring Norfolk! Was made to feel very welcome by Deborah and Mark and the cottage was a home away from home. The cottage was spotless and had everything you could need in it from the fluffy towels to a very comfy bed. The welcome treat of tea, milk and biscuits also went down a treat! Thank you for a lovely stay and will definitely recommend The Swallows!

This was a beautiful little place - we came to visit the racetrack and only stayed a few nights but had a lovely peaceful time and didn’t want to leave! The location is gorgeous - views out onto their lovely garden with animals and lovely scenery ! We woke on the first morning to a little deer in the garden bush. It really was tranquil. Hosts were lovely and friendly and very welcoming - nice personal touches. Would love to go back. Thank you.

We had a great stay at Catherine‘s place. The property itself is quite large, especially the downstairs living space. The kitchen had a wide range of utensils to use and one of the bonuses was that this property had a washing machine and also a tumble dryer which was very good with a toddler in the family. Speaking of having a toddler, there were many different items which were great for a family with little ones. There were plates and bowls which were colourful and plastic, there were also some toys for children and on top of that there was a stair safety gate which could be fitted and also a travel cot too. Catherine gave very clear instructions for finding the house and there was more than enough parking space for two cars for those visiting. Not that we use them, but there was the availability of some garden furniture and a large patio at the front of the property. Friendly sheep would walk by in the field directly behind the property which was nice to see.

A well appointed annex in a quiet cul-de-sac. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, induction hob and fridge freezer. We found the seating area and bedroom comfortable. There is a Waitrose supermarket and two historic pubs serving excellent food and local real ales, ten minutes walk away. Access to the city centre is very easy as there is a bus stop just across the road. It was a perfect location for a family visit

Excellent find! Looks exactly as expected and great value for the price. Location is also quite good—especially if you’re looking for walking routes to explore the area. Auriol and Richard were also lovely hosts with a lovely property that they put a lot of care into. One small note to any dog owners: if your pup is bothered by fireworks/loud sounds, this may not be your spot as the farmer next door uses bird-scarers starting before 6 am (at least this time of year) and going until dusk. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.
