We had a group of 7 ladies ranging from ages 56 to 80. We were there celebrating my mom‘s 80th birthday. The location perfect very short driving distance to downtown Nashville. The pictures were just as they looked on the website. It was a very cute comfortable peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. If we ever go back we would book this place again! Angela was pretty quick to respond.

Really enjoyed our Stay, beautiful house with history. Very peaceful setting, great to be able to hike the hill behind for a view. The location has perfect access to Nashille, Bloomington and Columbus.

This was the perfect location for wanting to feel surrounded by the forest!

Melissa’s place was the perfect accommodation for our little getaway! The house is adorable and well-maintained. We loved the kitchen, specifically the farmhouse sink and fancy refrigerator. It was well-stocked too, even snacks and coffee/tea. I mentioned my son loves to fish, and they even had night crawlers for bait for him in the fridge when we arrived. And he caught a bass! He was so excited. How thoughtful! Beds were comfy, hot tub and fire pit were lovely and the view/property were very scenic. Communication with Melissa was quick and easy. Only about 10 minutes from downtown Nashville! 10/10 recommend, we would definitely stay here again!

We spent a weekend here with the kids and had a great time. The kids really enjoyed the loft area and getting their own space upstairs to play and lounge during the evenings, but there was plenty of seating up there for all of us to watch a movie and the dining room table big enough to have some family game nights. This place would be great for a get-a-way for a couple or a family. The drive to the shops in Nashville only took 10 minutes, and even closer to Brown Co. State Park. It was exactly what we were looking for at the end of the day to come back to some peace and quiet. We were all looking forward to getting away for some family time and escaping for a few days - it was great! This place had everything we needed and the environment we were looking for.

Leah's place was just what we needed for a last minute getaway. Perfectly surrounded by foliage and hills, it seemed as if there were no people anywhere nearby. The best part about it, aside from the solitude in nature, is that we were only a 3 minute drive away from Nashville shops! Though just the 4 of us stayed, our friends and family were able to meet us here, and spend some time together before we all headed to Nashville shops and restaurants. Leah was very gracious when we communicated about this, and we were very thankful! It worked out perfect dude to the location! We fell in love with the chickens and were sad to leave them! We also fell in love with the swim spa and used it a lot! Thank you for creating such a beautiful home for us to retreat to in the midst of the chaos that is our life! We will definitely return!!

The cabin absolutely adorable and had so many different areas for sitting and having side conversations. It is “old” and seemingly handmade maybe mid-1900s (I’m taking a guess) so the stairs are irregular and a few other charming quirks… and was very easy to get comfortable in right away. The host also had a number of personal touches to welcome us- including a few snacks in the kitchen… and the cupboards were well appointed in general with the extras you might need. We only had one night and we made the most of it- but we woke up wishing we could stay longer and are already planning a return.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Clean cabin and great friendly staff. Very affordable. I will be making this my new getaway from now on

We had a short but nice stay! The space is very basic, but that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has read the listing. It was a great value for us and our dogs, and it’s just a quick drive to the state park.

The cabin was perfect for 4 families to gather together but also enjoy time apart. Beautiful surroundings and comfortable accommodations. Would definitely recommend to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owl's Roost!!! it was just what we needed...peaceful, comfortable, off the beaten path but close enough to get to other things. We loved everything about our stay. The owner and Hills O' Brown Rentals were kind, helpful and took care of our needs. Our bed broke the second night and within a short time of notifying them, we had a brand new bed! Amazing! We will definitely return and stay again! ❤️❤️

Our stay was so perfect! The cabin was gorgeous and was the perfect amount of space for our family weekend (6 adults and 1 baby), with space to spare. It was clean, beautifully decorated, had everything we needed and the furnishings were very comfy. The property was private and serene. If it hadn’t rained, we would have spent more time outdoors but we still got to use the hot tub since it was covered. The porches and outdoor furniture were great. Everything was perfect and made our anniversary weekend one we will cherish. I hope we can go back soon!

The Night Owl was the perfect cozy birthday getaway for my friends and I. We enjoyed spending a lot of time outside in the hot tub. The hot tub is situated in the back and is very private. The wifi worked great for listening to music while soaking. At night you can look up and see so many more stars than when you're in the city. The sunroom was nice to sit and enjoy morning coffee. The fire pit was clutch for cozy fires and there is even a fireplace inside. If you want to cook over the fire there is an appropriate ring with a grill grate but the charcoal grill works great too! The living room is bigger than what it looks like in the pictures. We hooked up the karaoke machine and made the living room our performance space. I was told that the bed in the loft and the day bed were comfy to sleep in. My partner and I enjoyed the king suite. The bed was very comfy and having a private hall between the day room and the suite was nice. This cabin is the perfect place to enjoy nature!

I could not have been more satisfied with our stay. We wanted a peaceful and private cabin that was close enough to town to enjoy, and this property delivered on every aspect of the hot tub was nice and hot and perfect for mornings and nights with a nip in the air, and the fire pit made evenings nice and toasty. Inside, the cabin had everything we could possibly need: good WiFi and a full kitchen, and it was decorated with plenty of woodsy charm. The town is a quick 5 min drive away, and filled with great shops and restaurants. The property gives you all tje peace and privacy you could ask for, and has plenty of space to go walk around and enjoy the beautiful Brown County nature. I could not recommend it enough!

We absolutely loved our stay in this cabin! The private property was just the right size for a small group of girls to hang out, relax and have a good time. The place was clean and comfortable; we really felt like we were right at home. We relaxed in the hot tub each night before we turned in. During the day we enjoyed all of the wonderful restaurants and shops that Nashville has to offer. It was definitely a successful girls weekend in this cabin in the woods!

Three of my brothers and myself stayed at the cabin from Nov 7 - 10, we were in town to attend the Indiana vs Michigan football game. the cabin was as advertised and was a perfect match for us, we each had our own bedroom and private bathroom, the cabin is a couple miles off the beaten path, it was very quiet, secluded, the cabin was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our hosts Peter and Suzanne, answered our questions promptly and provided lots of information. would recommend the cabin

We had a delightful stay here! The cabin is in a secluded location, perfect for a quiet night in after spending the day hiking or exploring Nashville, IN (which is less than 10 min driving distance away). The place is very cozy and charming, perfect for a couple’s getaway. Guests have multiple options for fun things to do (hot tub, indoor and outdoor games, TV, etc). We saw turkeys and deer a couple of times in the surrounding yard, which was neat. My only comment is that, if you’re like me and need coffee in the morning, make sure to bring ground coffee for the coffeemaker. Otherwise this home was perfect- we will definitely be coming back!

The cabin was beautiful and the location is close enough to the park and downtown Nashville, but still very secluded. There are plenty of games and entertainment for the whole family. We had a great time!

An excellent, romantic get-away for one or two couples. The hot tub is one of the better ones we've been in, and the pool table upstairs is a great addition to this very clean, private, secluded cabin. We will be back.

Cabin is just as pictured, clean and well decorated. Kitchen and grill had everything we needed. The screened in porch was our favorite room in the house!! The furniture is super comfy, peaceful, and relaxing. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!
