Wonderful country house in a very quiet village relatively close to the local vineyards. The house was very comfortable with all that we required. There’s a train line at the back of the property, but trains ran very infrequently and didn’t bother us during our stay. Would stay there again.

This is a beautiful property, with comfortable beds and well-equipped with amenities. It was a perfect place to stay while renovating our house nearby. The fire pit and pond were private and really enjoyable. Will recommend to friends and family visiting the area!

Majestic location and great place to unplug from distractions and unwind. Peaceful and relaxing amenities, lots of interesting health, spiritual, fitness literature available in this space. The stars were sooooo visible and beautiful. Great sunrise & sunset, cool seeing the lit train go by at night. It is very windy atop this hill, with a great view of the river below. There is also a way down to the riverbed at the base of the driveway, maybe a quarter mile further down. The pictures haven’t been updated since new bed spreads & some rearrangements. There was tea kettle with lots of tea options, spices and seasonings available, meditation room, and the waterfall/jet shower was amazing. Very available and communicative host. Good wifi. There are meditation retreat/activities locally, that we wish to explore on our next trip here. Thank you and enjoy!!

This ranks at the top of places we have stayed. The house was perfect, had everything you would need or want. The hot tub was clean and under a covered porch like addition which made it nice when it was raining. Everything was labeled , all switches and ceiling fans. Not to far from a Walmart if you left something home also. Only one thing that you would want to keep in mind is you will probably need 4wd if it would snow. There is a steep incline to get to house that you have to give it a little extra to get up. Other than that I would still recommend it and give it a 10/10!!!

This property is beautiful - well kept inside and out. All of the amenities were very convenient and kept us comfortable during our stay. The decor was very nice as well, it was a real treat getting to feel in touch with the history of the place. All in all, it was a very pleasant trip and I would not hesitate to stay here again if given the chance!

My family and I are so grateful to have returned to this little slice of peace in Arvonia. Amber was a fantastic host, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The home is truly a gem – cozy, clean, and surrounded by serene beauty. It’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us, Amber.

I don’t think I can describe just how wonderful a trip this was but I will try. David was fantastic. To start the place was absolutely spotless and had a super clean kitchen and bathroom. The linens were very clean and there were plenty of towels for the hot tub and shower. The kitchen had a great oven that was a convection oven. There was also a cast-iron skillet, which is so essential. I hate cooking on nonstick because you never know what kind of toxic stuff you’re putting into your food so having a grill, cast-iron skillet, and breakfast skillet was amazing. While we were there, there was a flash flood. While there was no flood to be seen in the house because it’s on a hill, the roadway was temporarily impossible to traverse. David brought us fresh chicken from his farm and it was fantastic. He made sure that we were safe when we did leave once the water had subsided. The hot tub was very clean. It looked brand new. The Internet was very fast and we had no problem watching TV.

Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay in Janice’s cabin. It had everything we needed and the views were amazing. After long days of adventuring around Charlottesville it was nice to have somewhere so private and comfy to come back too.

Hygge house was so cozy and comfortable. It was such a relaxing space; perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with your friends and family. Such a beautiful secluded area as well! Great job Sarah and Daniel with this place!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! It was the perfect blend of cozy and adventurous, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was peaceful and secluded, yet still close enough to the adorable local town. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We especially loved the outdoor areas with its beautiful views – perfect for morning coffee and evening stargazing. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!
