Just back from a wonderful stay at the cottage. Sparkling clean and comfortable accommodation. Nice peaceful area with beautiful surroundings. Hope to return one day.

We had an amazing stay here. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy and in a very remote peaceful setting. The hot tub was very relaxing followed by sitting infront of the log fire made for a very relaxing time. The special treats left by the owner for the dogs was a lovely touch and the gingerbread was gorgeous. We would definately stay again.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Paul & Debbie are amazing hosts who are willing to help with anything we asked. Although just a short drive from Newcastle, we felt as though we were in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful countryside. The cottage is gorgeous and extremely comfortable with everything you need including the most amazing private hottub. But the most amazing experience is with the alpacas who you can see from the cottage, have the opportunity to feed them and even take them for a walk which was just incredible. We were sorry to have to leave but will most definitely be returning! Thank you Paul & Debbie 😀

Had an absolutely amazing time here! 5 of us squished in nicely for the weekend and had an amazing time. We got the hot tub working and it was nice to be able to having something to do and watch whilst chilling, did find it a little tricky to maintain the temperature throughout the day. We cooked loads and there were loads of pans, pots, cutlery and everything else we needed to cook. Only thing that was tricky was the smoke alarm kept going off despite the doors and windows all being open. Was solved by wafting a tea towel at it but was still a little annoying. The place feels really spacious despite being quite small because of the skylights and windows so that was amazing. The hosts were wonderful and great at replying so we honestly couldnt really fault the place and are hoping to come back again for another little weekend away!!!

Peaceful cottage to relax and chill in. Beds are THE most comfortable ever. Literally didn’t see another soul - perfect getaway from city living

Four of us have just spent 3 nights in Peewit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we all felt right at home, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable too! Everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay was provided. Having the private hot tub was fabulous, we loved it after full days of being tourists in the local area. On a separate note, we would highly recommend a visit to Beamish Museum which was about a 30 min drive, we also spent a day in Durham City & booked a 2.5 hr History/City Tour with walkaboutdurham - highly recommended. Tour Guide Peter is very knowledgeable & so passionate about his job plus he gives everyone a "free" cocktail voucher for Turtle Bay - well deserved after 2.5hrs walking around the City 🤣🤣

I recently stayed at this charming cottage, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The place was impeccably clean. The farm shop was lovely and we received a great welcome. The hot tub was fabulous—it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The surrounding countryside views added to the serenity and charm of the cottage. Overall, a wonderful getaway that I would highly recommend!

Amazing from start to finish. Philippa is the perfect host - we stayed with our children and forgot our stroller 🙈 she kindly left us one to use during her stay. The cottage was lovely and clean, everything there you needed! Comfy bed and very spacious! Views were stunning - a real treat waking up to the Northumberland countryside.

Had an amazing stay in this cottage which is within walking distance of all facilities/shops/harbour & eateries! Yet it is quiet & private enough to be removed from the busy tourist areas. The cottage has every facility & all the equipment needed for a restful holiday. The cottage was immaculately presented & the beds & bedding were extremely comfortable & of high quality. Penny was available any time for help & support when needed & I would highly recommend this cottage for a holiday whatever the season. We stayed Nov/Dec & it was fab having the harbour area to ourselves sometimes! Thankyou Penny for a fabulous time ! Your cottage is amazing!

A beautiful place to stay inside and out. The views were breathtaking! Our little dogs loved playing in the garden which was well fenced (even our mischievous Westie couldn’t find a way to escape!) The fire was such a nice touch, we loved having fires each day. Wood was supplied if you didn’t use the heating which was great! Coming from a city we don’t have a fire so happy to not use the heating! Kate was so responsive and really friendly. We even had some fresh eggs from her hens which was so lovely. We were thrilled to see the property in snow on our last night/day it really just rounded off our stay perfectly! If you are thinking about booking..do it! Also the shower is great! (Always something I judge! Haha) Can’t wait to rebook!❤️

Superb cottage in a superb location and wonderful to have the hotel around the corner. Staff so helpful and friendly, it really made a difference to our stay.

We have had the most wonderful Christmas at the Garden Cottage. We spent Christmas Day walking on the beach. A peaceful, rural location with a big enclosed garden. Perfect for our dogs. The cottage is trendy and has lots of space with Beautiful furniture. Truly a home from home. The hosts were amazing! Thank you Macy and Seth

Had a wonderful stay at Mary’s Cottage. A perfect place to stay and explore the Northumberland coast. The cottage is really cosy and has everything you need. Julie and Nigel are great hosts. The birthday card for my partner as well as the homemade dog treats for our pup just made it special. Thank you so much

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. We couldn't be happier with our stay at Sunrise Cottage. The house was cosy, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Peter kindly provided tea, milk and butter which was so helpful. Would highly recommend and we would love to stay again!

We would definitely recommend to stay here! This cosy cottage is the perfect place for some peace. The log burner is well equipped and very warm. James was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He was attentive, happy to help and share advice/ recommendations on the local area which had plenty of walks, places to eat etc. If the sky is clear you will be in for a treat with the sky! 🌌

Quite possibly the best air BnB I've ever stayed in. Pam and Richard where the most amazing hosts and the property was stunning, such a fantastic location to relax and explore Northumberland. Felt like you where visiting friends. Will definitely return.

A wonderful peaceful oasis in a great location. You can be on the coast in 40min, in Newcastle in 30 or go for a walk in the North Pennines in a matter of minutes. The place itself is lovely. The private garden was great for the dog and I would imagine is wonderful in the summer months with the hot tub on! The EV charger next to the parking space was also a godsend that not many places have. A great stay with a responsive and friendly host who went out of her way to help.

We had a fantastic weekend away. The house looks exactly like its photos and was extremely clean. Ross and Gillian were very friendly and had preemptively turned on the heating and had goodies for us to enjoy upon our arrival which was very appreciated. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided which was also appreciated. The views from the windows were stunning and we even had perfect sunsets each night. The small patio was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the serenity and a glass of wine. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

What a fantastic find, a beautiful cottage in a great location. From walking in we knew we had found a great home from home, it was easy to find and located in a lovely little village. The local pub the Northumberland was 2 mins walk and had a fantastic menu which we enjoyed, local beaches were only 15 minutes away and dog friendly. What a great 3 day break which is just what we needed. Thank you Andrew (Host). We will definitely be back.
