This was a perfect two night getaway with our family. The house is very clean. The views are beautiful. There are lots of things to do in the area not far from the house. We enjoyed taking the short path to the brewery for a couple of meals. The food is great! We sat by the fire and soaked in the hot tub. Martha’s instructions were very easy to follow to check in and checkout. She was very responsive. We appreciate that she also offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. Fairview is an absolute gem! This circa 1867 historic home provided the perfect setting for our family Christmas. The charm and character of the house made us feel completely at home, and the accommodations were nothing short of perfect for our entire family. The thoughtful welcome treats and fresh flowers were such a warm and special touch that made us feel instantly at ease. The home was clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to pull off a wonderful Christmas dinner. The kitchen had all the essentials, making it so much easier to prepare and enjoy our meal together. The spectacular mountain views added a peaceful backdrop, and the resident peacock was a delightful surprise, bringing laughs and joy to our grandchildren. If you’re looking for a place that combines history, beauty, and comfort, Fairview is the perfect choice. We’ll cherish the memories we made here and hope to return someday!

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

This is the most magical little cottage, I am so happy I found it. My daughter & I stayed here on a road trip to North Carolina & I loved it so much I booked it for our return journey too. Elise made everything so easy & was always quick to reply & so helpful. We arrived after a long day of driving & felt so grateful to land here. Elise had so many welcoming touches, we felt truly at home & were honestly enchanted by every little detail in the cottage from the beautiful, creative decor, to all the reclaimed details & Elise’s beautiful art & ceramics. The hot tub & the claw foot bathtub were such a treat after the road & the bed was so comfortable. Waking up to the peaceful countryside surrounding us & the best coffee & farm fresh eggs was the perfect beginning to the day. My daughter was very excited that Elise had left food to feed the goats & I was excited to peek in her art studio & buy some ceramics. I only wish we could have stayed longer to take one of her art classes.

Elliott's place is private and peaceful. A nice natural setting alongside a steam. I loved the native woods utilized in the interior, not the usual cheap sheetrock walls painted grey and white, that's everywhere nowadays. Although in a mountain valley, the spot is not cut off from sunlight, there is sunlight in both the morning and the evening, close to the specified times. As a naturalist, I found the setting okay, except for observing several aggressive invasive plant species encroaching upon the development site and expanding outward into the forest. That's what is guaranteed to happen when the soil is disturbed in Virginia. There are no restaurants close by, so you probably will be cooking. We found the usual kitchen problems. A shortage of LIDS and a shortage of smaller size pots and pans. I've realized that this same problem is widespread across Airbnb sites from my experience. Overall it was great and we appreciate the opportunity !

Our stay here was great! We booked Jennifer's place for a family wedding in Lexington, VA and couldn't have been happier. The house was extremely clean, the setup was perfect to be able to hang out together but have enough areas to sleep. Jennifer was wonderful with communication. Beautiful views, easy to get to, wonderful home and great experience with the host :)

My man and I had a wonderful time having a quiet and private weekend getaway. The place is so cozy and the hosts are so welcoming. It’s a beautiful view off the back porch. One of the highlights of my weekend was getting to spend time with Bilbo the cat. He was so snuggly and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived! Would love to come back here again!

We were delighted to see deer right outside, adding to the peaceful and serene setting. The location was perfect for our trip to Liberty University for the CFAW event, making it both convenient and enjoyable. The house is clean and comfortable, combining the off-the-grid feel of a peaceful cabin in the woods with all the comforts of modern life. A great home-away-from-home while we explored the history, natural beauty and good food that central Virginia has to offer. We especially enjoyed exploring the trail from the cabin down to the Rockfish River.

This home was perfect for our family of 6 plus our dog. The large kitchen was perfect for making meals at home and the couches are super cozy. The backyard is larger than our seems in the photos. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the morning, eating our breakfast and listening to the birds. She has thought of everything. The kitchen is well stocked and there are lots of fun extras throughout the house. We appreciated the special attention given to our doggie including a gift just for her.

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

This house was amazing to stay at! The plan was just to find an Airbnb to stay at while we skied at wintergreen, but we ended up getting rained out and spent almost the whole time in the house. I was so fun the house is full of surprises and fun board games we weren't board for a minute! The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook!

This was our second stay at this beautiful cabin we absolutely love it. Lots of fun things to do in the area. We did some four wheeling and some fly fishing. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

TDLR version: If you have a big group (more than 5) for a ski trip at Wintergreen, and are looking at places to stay, you better book this place fast because it won’t be there later. 100% worth it. No complaints at all. Longer review: This place had everything we expected and more. Big living room area for gatherings, pristine kitchen with huge counter and dining table. Appliances looked brand new as well. There’s a mudroom with a separate entrance to put all your board/ski gear in to keep the house clean. The back deck is very spacious, and the gazebo has a light under it for late nights outside. Internet worked great the whole stay as well. All in all, it felt like we were staying at resort lodging, while having a private host on speed dial. Gina was an amazing host, being very responsive, giving detailed yet not overly complicated instructions and rules for the house, and being understanding when problems arose. 12/10 would stay again.

My husband had a great time hosting a Bachelors weekend for one of his good friends. The guys loved the stay at the cabin and loved that it was so close to skiing. They would definitely stay again and maybe next time I can go!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! The house is amazing! The space is beautiful, clean, and luxurious. It is probably the nicest airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The location is peaceful and has great hiking spots and wineries close by. This was a perfect spot for a getaway weekend with a group of friends!

We had a wonderful stay at Deanie’s place. It was beautiful. It was comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds and linens were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool, the view and the people! Everyone was just wonderful. I highly recommend!!!!! Also, don’t forget to get on the list for breakfast. We were only there two mornings, but the food was very good and my family is still talking about it. I hope to return there again in the near future.
