We stayed here for a month and had a great time. The beach view was great and we had live music from the beach bars and fireworks each night (for more than 4 weeks). Maybe that had to do with Chinese New Year, but it actually went on after CNY as well. Communication was excellent, there was a helpful representative who was almost always nearby and ready to assist with some very small issues we had. The security guys were very friendly to our kids and would accept packages that were delivered for us when we were out. The only significant point of improvement I see is that a bit more attention should be paid to the cleaning.

Amenities are super well stocked including pantry items, hairdryer and extra pillows. Just that the pillows may be too soft for our personal preference but all provided for & good. Hot water shower is excellent & never ran out of hot water. Place is super clean which is most important to us. Will book again!

overall it was a solid stay! especially with Zus Coffee just right at the entrance of the apartment! there’s also some food stall around if you walk further down the road. the host are very helpful and clear with their instructions made it easy to check in and out! it was smooth without any hiccups! the only (tiny) downside for us is that the water pressure for showers is too low 😅 other than that it’s all’s good!! would stay here again if there’s a chance!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and feel at home. Its location was perfect – within walking distance to a variety of fantastic food outlets and popular sights, making it super convenient for exploring the area. One of the standout features was how beautifully designed the bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom were; I picked up several great design ideas that I could definitely see incorporating into my own home. The host was also fantastic – very responsive and quick to reply, ensuring everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, style, and a great location!

The view is absolutely amazing and the appartement has all the necesary equipment to offer great comfort to its guests. The host is very helpful and reactive and the area offers very nice restaurants not too far away from city centre.

love the location. host was really great. note that parking is not free and daily rate is $10 and if you go in and out, you will have to pay hourly rate. you will share building with other rental resorts also.

This was undoubtedly one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had! The unit itself exceeded our expectations. It’s very clean and thoughtfully designed with the highest quality furnishings – from the luxurious full-grain leather sofa to the expansive smart TV. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including ample utensils, woks, and pans, making it perfect for preparing meals. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after our adventures. The addition of a washing machine and dryer was a surprise to us, adding convenience and making our stay even more seamless. The location at By The Sea was ideal, just a short walking distance from the beach, offering breathtaking views. While there weren’t any traditional Malaysian-style coffee shops nearby, this was a minor trade-off for the tranquility and beauty of the area.

Great location! Walkable distance to gurney bay (in my opinion), I did walk to my work place. Clear instructions from Charles. I am really appreciate that Charles actually stayed up till 4am to wait for me. (Check-in). Great place and definitely will stay again during next trip here in Penang. Thank you!

Thank you so much for hosting us! We really enjoyed our stay. I have to say De’s place is one of the house we stayed that doesn’t skim on giving comfort to the people. De’s kitchen has good utensils, bowls and mugs that are good quality. In many other places we had been to, they’re not good at all. Same goes to beddings and linens. De’s offered cleaned ones and comfortable beds. Thank you so much for clear instructions and for being a very responsive host. We will surely love to stay at your place next time we visit Malaysia again.

The place was the host described and similar to the posted photos. Host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in. We had 21 pax with us and everyone slept comfortably. The host was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for those planning for a large gathering.

This is my second time booking at Ken's house. He is always so welcoming. He is around to welcome and explain to me about the house during check-in time. He was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The house was at its top conditions, equipped with all necessary amenities. Most of the rooms are with bathroom attached. It's a cozy place. If you have a big family visiting Penang, this house is highly recommended. It is situated at a strategic location, near to town area and Penang Bridge. Lots of restaurants and hawker centres nearby. If you are not planning to tour anywhere in Penang, there's a KTV in the house. You can use it with a minimal fee. Once again, Ken's place is highly recommended.

It would be better if the balcony faced the sea.

Homestay very big and comfortable. We had some issue and the owner very responsive. On day 2 there is issue with water but then the owner very responsive and come to see our condition. I had an amazing stay at this property! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, quickly accommodating my request for an early check-in due to an emergency and even allowing a late check-out. The house itself is HUGE, perfect for our group of 8 people. It’s fully equipped with everything we needed, especially the washing machine and dryer, which were a huge plus. The Coway water purifier was a nice touch as well! The place is extremely clean and neat, making it very comfortable to stay in. It’s also in a great location, with plenty of food options nearby. I highly recommend this place – it’s perfect for a big group and made our stay so much easier and enjoyable. Very, very highly recommended!

fantastic place! with lots lots of pillows and I the 2 queen beds in the room that was low so that its safe for my kids. alot of hangers to hang clothes, washer & dryer 2 in 1. Thanks Casey for the memorable stay!

Its a great place to stay. The view was outstanding, located next to plenty of restaurants with a new park just in front. Amenities wise, everything was as indicated. Parking was easy and the location is on one of the best spots in PH.

Gurney Resort était vraiment un très bel endroit pour séjourner à Penang, dans la périphérie de Georgetown. L'accueil s'est fait de manière très fluide, la procédure est vraiment très bien expliquée par Diana et chaque étape est bien précisée. La piscine est agréable avec une très belle vue, l'appartement est hyper fonctionnel, tout est disponible comme à la maison. Et tout est très propre et bien entretenu. Toutes les commodités sont accessibles à pieds. De beaux endroits pour prendre un brunch le matin. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.
