This place was fantastic! We stayed here with our 4 daughters. They loved feeding and talking to Hershey the donkey every day. The home was clean and SO WELL SUPPLIED! We have stayed in so many AirBnBs where we had to rewash the silverware for every meal--not here! There were cooking utensils and silverware and plates and cups and bowls galore as well as tinfoil and parchment (so helpful for leftovers and baking). The owner also quickly supplied firewood when she realized it had been overlooked. We loved sitting in the front room playing games, reading, doing puzzles and enjoying the woodstove. The home is at the end of a mountain road and we hiked on the mountain and took walks up and down the road. The only constructive criticism I would have is that the key instructions are confusing. I would just say, there is no key, just a keypad with a code to get in and out. Thank you again for lovely quiet place for us to get away and celebrate New Years!

Loved our stay here. Peaceful and serene with the horses there to greet you everyday as an added bonus but close enough to everything Asheville has to offer. The house makes you feel right at home and Terri is a great host. Would definitely recommend!

The Loverly is truly lovely—you’ll feel at home! With a fireplace, a chaise lounge, a hot tub, and more, it’s the perfect retreat. Plan a shopping day in Hendersonville. The local consignment shop, which supports hospice care, offers great prices. For a meal, check out Shine—known for unique dishes and excellent service. In Fairview, The Local Joint is a must-visit. This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

We loved staying at Caleb’s home! It was perfect for our family, and the hot tub was so relaxing! Absolutely beautiful.

Had a great stay at the cabin! It was close by a lot of places and things to do! Had very clear instructions on what to do and how to check out from the stay!

Perfect Mountain Getaway This Airbnb was the perfect escape! The location was absolutely stunning, with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and breathtaking views. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was the cherry on top, providing the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring. We loved sitting by the creek and listening to the soothing sounds of the water. We made so many great memories here and can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay here and it was one of our favorite Airbnbs we've stayed in. The home was cozy, clean, and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. It was very helpful and appreciated to have basic kitchen supplies like spices, tin foil, etc. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great place to stay! Perfect mix of old and new. Loved the fireplaces and hot tubs! Makes me want a stone cottage with dark wood, tall ceilings and built ins! Very relaxing and easy drive to points of interest. Loved the pond and cows.

We loved staying here! The house was clean, cute, and the perfect size for our two person girls getaway. The beds were so comfy, I wanted to bring all the bedding and lines home with me! Would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful stay just minutes from Asheville but quiet and dark enough to see stars and wildlife. Loved the big screened porch and seating on the ridge, as well as all the tools in the kitchen.

Amazing location, easy drive to hikes and downtown. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The yard was an added plus for my dog. Burn pit seemed like a perfect place to spend evenings, unfortunately we couldn’t utilize it due to a burn ban in effect. We definitely would stay again!

We had a truly wonderful time here! Mike was the most amazing host, and greeted us when we arrived. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, the cozy cottage, and beautiful yard. Most importantly, I forgot my work laptop when I left, and Mike was so understanding and responsive. He arranged for next-day shipping, which put my distraught mind at ease. I’m so grateful for Mike’s hospitality and trustworthiness! We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Asheville. Thank you!!

A very nice stay. We had a group of seven and needed five bedrooms. This house was perfect for us. It was very much like a home with puzzles and books and TV and anything else we might want. Once we found it the first time it was easy. We kept forgetting to turn on a light before we left for the day so we came back to a lot of darkness. That was completely our fault. I would recommend this property to anyone who needed six bedrooms and three baths. They were very responsive when we had a question too.

This cozy little cottage was a wonderful 5 day getaway for me, my wife, and eight month old daughter. The house was clean and had the comforts and amenities of home. We were able to observe large groups of deer right outside of our windows. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful through the whole process. Photos and description were accurate. We hope to return in the future.

Adorable and spacious cottage with two private sleeping and sitting areas. Perfect for two couples! It was nice to come back to a quiet peaceful place after exploring the area during the day. Sitting on the back deck or in the screened room by the pond made us wish we had stayed longer. Jackie went over and above to make us feel comfortable including a cake for my husband's birthday and shipping a new golf bag to her for a surprise gift. The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

I know Black Mountain, my family is originally from there, so I knew the location I was renting. Blocks from downtown and a couple of block's from my Uncle's house. The house was perfect, clean and well appointed. The fenced yard worked wonderfully for my German Shepherd. I may use it again on my next visit.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking at the cabin, and the tub was perfect for soaking after an adventure. My little one had a blast playing in the creek, and we loved watching for wildlife. We saw a groundhog, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and several hawks. Truly a lovely spot.
