Loved our stay! Beds are comfortable, and the outdoor space is exactly what we hoped for. Our pup was able to safely roam in the yard, and we really enjoyed sitting in nature throughout the day :)

Melissa's place was an amazing stay for our first weekend in Asheville. The house was incredible. So clean, well stocked, soft sheets with nice mattresses, hot tub and great views. Melissa was very responsive and pleasant. We're excited to come back to visit Asheville and support the rebuilding after the hurricane.

This is my second time renting this house and will continue to in future when traveling to Asheville. It’s a beautiful spacious home. The hot tub and the sun room are the best part.

The bungalow is located on a mountain slope with beautiful mountain views. It's very private and relaxing. It has two large verandahs, with a hot tub on the top one, so you can enjoy the views even on a cold day. Inside, the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped, the bedroom has places for you to put your clothing away, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. The inside gets a lot of sunlight, particularly the living room, making it even more cozy. The living room has a TV and gas fireplace. Downstairs you can find the washing and drying machines and a ping pong table. I totally recommend the bungalow for a relaxing vacation. We stayed at the cabin about two months after hurricane Helene passed through the area. While there was a lot of devastation, particularly close to rivers, the area around the cabin has already been cleaned up of any debris. We were still able to find some good hiking around Asheville, and trails seems to be reopening, just check and plan ahead of time.

We have a lovely time! Their space was perfect. We enjoyed all aspects of their home. We loved the dry sauna, the hot tub and the steam shower!

They were so accommodating and flexible. A wonderful experience and a great fit for our large group.

"Modern cabin" is a modest description ... I would call this a mountain retreat! There were four of us (two couples), but the home would have easily accommodated eight. The design of the house was well thought out and roomy, and the decor was stylish and tasteful. It did not seem like a rental. The kitchen was fully equipped. Thick towels and a bubbly hot tub awaited our arrival, and the Saturday morning scones & hot chocolate were a delightful treat! Perfect spot for a remote get-away, but still just 20 minutes from downtown Ashville and many other attractions. We could not have been happier with this "cabin"!

If you’re in Asheville, I highly recommend this house. It was beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and located in a great area. Beds were comfy, chefs kitchen and the living room was out of a magazine. The backyard is amazing, large, lots of areas to sit and chill. Loved listening to the stone water fountain. Also, a nice outdoor fire pit. And separated by a fence and out of sight, chickens and rabbits! Opening the fridge to find a loaf of blueberry bread and fresh yard eggs was nice and welcoming. One of my favorite Airbnb stays.

Smithson was so friendly, the property was very pretty, and the house was clean and cozy. I especially enjoyed birdwatching while sitting on the porch.

Needed a quiet retreat getaway and this was the perfect spot. Cozy and eclectica/artsy space. Kambra also provided nice extras like a bottle of sparkling wine (New Year's stay), local company pretzels and chocolates.

This is a great funky place. It is a vintage home that has been thoughtfully renovated. Very clean and comfortable. Very close to Asheville and its attractions. I loved this place.

I absolutely loved the stay, it was nice and cozy. everything was easy to figure out like how to use the TVs, and the house is only 5 minutes walking distance from downtown Asheville. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

The house was perfect for our quick weeeknd trip and charming as pictured. April sent us clear instructions on exactly how to get to the entrance and where to park. Perfect location and plenty of options to enjoy the area. We will be sure to look for availability here for our next trip to Asheville!

it was a wonderful stay and Joy was a great host. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The condo was very comfortable to stay in for 4 of us and has part of the lake right behind it which makes it serene. The check in was smooth , wifi worked without a problem , parking is right in front of the unit, the neighborhood is quiet, and hiking trails are close by. Important to know that you may have to drive a bit for getting groceries etc if you plan to cook dinners. Asheville downtown is about an hour away with 20 min of highway time and other 40 min is winding roads getting to the scenic community. That part of the drive is quiet dark after sunset. Overall, it's a great place for R&R, and Joy is a very warm and responsive host - we would love to come back again soon. Thanks Joy.

A great place for a vacation. Carolyn was a great host and was very responsive to all our queries. The cabin was extremely good and had all amenities. It also had board games for the kids. My kids enjoyed the hot tub as well. The place was very neat and had an upgraded kitchen.Would definitely recommend for a vacation stay.

Great house if you don’t want to contend with winding mountain roads and don’t mind being 20 minutes from downtown. Perfect location for a relaxing weekend. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed greatly, and expansive back yard gives great feeling of privacy. Rooms were all spacious enough for 8 adults to be comfortable. Would definitely book again for a mountain getaway!

the kitchen is well-stocked and suitable to cook for large parties. we really appreciated that. the house is big enough for 2 or 3 different families to have plenty of space and of course, the game room is so nicely seperated from the formal living room. we had 2 challenges while there which didn't put me off but didn't make the experience quite worth the price range, which is top for that area. One, the fireplace in the main room was without gas and none was available during the holiday week. That's a main feature of the home that wasn't working properly. two, Rumbling Bald Property management is very responsive but not quite forthcoming with linens;) we had 1 kitchen towel and ONE bath towel per person...for a 7 day stay. and there's a hot tub, besides! the house didn't quite deliver the service that the price range suggests but it has the potential to. the property management IS on site and they ARE responsive, so just being really clear and communicative is necessary.

Josh’s place was great for my dog Bailey and I! Booked very last minute and he was more than accommodating. He had the nicest backyard - my dog loved it! He also introduced himself to me during my stay and went out of his way to provide so many great food recommendations. Highly recommend and will stay again in the future when I’m in Asheville!

The house is conveniently located near many attractions, including hiking trails, restaurants, and the beautiful Lake Lure itself.
