Always a good time staying at the Light Center. Many great restaurants in local downtown Black Mountain as well as local hiking destinations. If you don’t mind sharing the common areas with other guests, booking a room here is an affordable and great option.

Reva provides a very special place to get away, heal, and unplug. The grounds are very peaceful. I loved the massage, hot tub and sauna experience. She was also extremely helpful and communicative.

Mt. Mitchell Eco Retreat: Creekside King

We took a last minute trip to the mountains and we were able to quickly and effortlessly book the eco retreat. Awesome place! A little wild finding it in the dark but the directions were clear (use Waze app) and the host responded to us in under one minute even at 10pm! Beautiful little resort with awesome cozy amenities and tranquil “escape from it all” vibes. Delicious coffee and a neat little store in the lodge. We played checkers and listened to music late into the night at the main lodge. Like many other reviewers my only complaint is that we arrived so late and that we couldn’t spend more time there! I would also note that it’s A little on the pricey side, could be a little more affordable. All in all we were very pleased and I’m sure we will be back. Next time we will def arrive earlier and stay longer. Thanks!

Price Place B & B 3-Bedroom Elite Suite

Our family stayed 3 nights and used all 4 bedrooms which accommodated 9 adults with no problems. Price Place B&B is a comfortable and quiet home away from home. Terry and Arlene made our stay so nice. Asheville is minutes away and Weaverville is great hidden location. We recommend Price Place for families of all sizes. Plenty of space, amenities and hot water. Nice breakfast and coffee which makes things easy for a party of our size. We hope to come back again.

Brookstone Lodge Asheville Biltmore Village Area

I didn’t talk to Paul while I was there. This is a hotel that is right by the interstate but I didn’t hear the noise in my room. It was nice and clean. Continental breakfast is included. 5 minute drive to Biltmore. Great value!

Amazing spot! Loved the unique public spaces downstairs and the beautiful suite in the hotel area. Only thing even close to an issue was the ability to hear footsteps/other guests/doors clothes in the quiet of the morning- but that was far from a deal breaker and to be expected with the intimate setting of the upstairs suites! We will be back! Loved our first stay and visit in Black Mountain!

Such a cool spot in downtown Marshall. Great breakfast and coffee spots just across the street. The loft space is very comfortable, but is a pretty steep climb on a ladder. There is a great shared porch area overlooking the river… perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.

Brookstone Lodge Biltmore Village Area

Very clean and comfortable. A regular Choice hotel with checkin staff. Loved that it had hardwood instead of carpets or drapes, and bed was comfortable. Hotel had a pool and breakfast included. 10 minutes from Biltmore and an excellent price!!

Our stay at Brookstone Lodge was great - our room was very clean and spacious and had all the listed amenities. The place was also just a few minutes drive to Biltmore, and many restaurants and amenities. We also appreciated Leslie’s great customer service - he went above and beyond to help us deal with an unexpected wedding attire emergency we had. We highly recommend Brookstone Lodge!

We stayed here for our trip to the Biltmore! Perfect location, nine minutes from the estate, twelve minutes from downtown which has amazing food! Would highly recommend Tupelo Honey and Flour for a breakfast sandwich! The location is a hotel! Everything is completely clean and the beds were beyond comfortable. We absolutely want to come back to Asheville and I absolutely would come back to stay! :)

Located in the Rumbling Bald Resort, this space was everything my family needed and wanted! The golf courses are beautiful, the pool is perfect with other outdoor games for the family is great, and Lake Lure is a gorgeous place to relax and play.

Spotless, beautiful and beyond cool. Had a technical glitch receiving airbnb emails and the host responded immediately to my texts to sort it out. i can't understand anyone having an issue with the train- we were getting sad because we hadn't seen a train at all for our entire stay, and then one came by just as we were packing up! It absolutely added to the cool factor and we could barely hear it, so maybe indeed they passed during the night without us knowing. Anyone interested should get down an "Old Marshall Jail" rabbit hole on g-gle and utube. The passion and work that went into restoration is so inspiring. Zadies downstairs was delicious and so convenient.

Truly a hidden gem!! The room was absolutely beautiful with so much history. Also, the self check in was a breeze, even with our late 1:30am arrival. Definitely will be staying at this hotel from now one when in the Asheville area!
