The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Nestled in the heart of the Karoo, the landscape itself is breathtaking. As night fell, the stars above were like nothing we’ve ever seen – the Karoo sky was filled with a brilliance that made the world feel still and timeless. This place isn’t just a getaway; it's an experience that touches the heart. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and relax. Would give it 5/5 without hesitation!

What a treat it was to stay in the “honeymoon suite” rondawel! Lynette does a fantastic job running the place and took time for a good chat on our arrival, which was great. We had requested dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the most delicious lamb curry! The breakfast was wonderful too! Thanks so much for a 5-star stay, Lynette! 🥰

Jenny and Jim are the perfect hosts - very attentive and caring yet allowing you your privacy. I was only there overnight, but loved the stay - it is so peaceful and sitting outside looking at the stars (something you just don't see in Johannesburg) was the highlight for me. The cottage has everything you need and is so spacious. Thanks again Jenny and Jim. Hope to come stay again in future.

We spent one night on our way from Cape Town to Gauteng. Linda was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable stay and perfect for a stop over.

This was my second stay at Cora’s cottage, and it felt like coming home. The cottage is well-equipped and private. There are beautiful trails on the farm to walk, hike and run. I enjoyed a swim in the river and listening to the sounds of nature. I’d definitely recommend this for an individual or for a family/friend stay.

This is a hidden gem within the Stormberg. It has all the amenities you can wish for as well as a beautiful view. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a large bathroom. Everything you need is there. Kim is definitely a superhost, communicating with us regularly before, during and after the visit and sent very good instructions to find the route to the cottage. We had milk, tea, coffee and lovely rusks waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage has a beautiful setting overlooking a dam and part of the mountain. We are not fishermen but enjoyed the scenery, the birding both on the farm and the adjacent farm roads. We spent a peaceful old (2021) and new year (2022) at the cottage with only the occasional bird checking in. This is definitely the place to go if you want to rest and enjoy nature. We took long walks on the farm but it definitely also has cycling possibilities. A place to add to your itinerary.
