Our New Year week had every possible kind of weather. The cottage was a cosy refuge when the rain and wind were doing their worst. All the facilities were great, comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, everything just the way you’d expect. Our terrier enjoyed being right beside the sea front. And the sun did shine, too, and we had a sauna and swim in the sea. All outstanding.

The room was clean and the kitchen was big. Worth for Money and great natural location

We had the most wonderful stay at Loch View House! The location is incredibly serene and scenic and the house itself is gorgeous with really thoughtful touches! The place was big enough to host all 12 of us, including kids and each room is perfectly decorated! Ema was incredibly friendly and on hand to help too! We’ve made some incredible memories that we’ll treasure forever.

Lynn is an excellent host and was very helpful throughout. Aros is a beautiful home in a great location. It has a welcoming feel as soon as you enter. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are spacious, beds extremely comfortable, plenty of space for the family to relax. We were lucky enough to be visited by a deer in the garden the first morning. What could be better.

Cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need for cooking your own meals. I thought it was a lovely touch that ruth had incuded everything from cleaning products, toilet tissue, kitchen roll. And also the lovely prosecco cheese and oatcakes that was left for us. We all had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future if we ever visit Arran again. Thank you Ruth for a lovely time.

We had a wonderful stay in Kate's house recently. The house is really impressive and beautifully presented. More then enough space for our family get together. Kate was always very responsive and nothing was a problem. The house is really adequately stocked with mostly everything you need. Situated in a lovely quiet location but not too far from the town. Also local takeaways deliver to the house which is a bonus. Thanks again! Definitely booking again for another trip soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Balmory Stables. The house exceeded our expectations, with peaceful surroundings and lots of space for the whole family to enjoy, including a garden. It felt lovely and secluded and yet was a short drive from Rothesay and all of the amenities there. The wood burning stove was an added bonus, and made the place feel very homely. Ulrike was a wonderful and very thoughtful host, who even brought some games and toys along so that our young children had something to play with on rainy days. Overall, Balmory Stables is a fantastic place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at this amazing house in a beautiful location. The house is huge. with lots of rooms to do different things. The hosts were happy to respond to the odd queries we had along the way, and I would be confident had anything gone really wrong they would have fixed it cheerfully. If we ever had a similar special occasion to treat ourselves in the future we would definitely consider staying again.

I recently enjoyed a weekend stay at Nicola’s caravan in Wemyss Bay with my partner, Lisa, and our dogs. Despite the rainy weather throughout our visit, we made the most of our time and had a fantastic experience. Nicola was incredibly helpful and engaging from the start, ensuring a smooth booking process and providing all necessary information. Upon arrival, we found the caravan spotless and well-maintained, offering a cozy retreat from the rain. Its excellent location provided easy access to local attractions and scenic spots, which we and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring, rain or shine. I highly recommend Nicola’s caravan to anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming getaway in Wemyss Bay. We will definitely be returning for another stay in the future. 

Everything as described, a good host, Therese gave us information about local bakers and some eating establishments which were excellent. We would certainly go again, the weather was in our favour, which was another bonus

A really lovely caravan, very comfortable, with everything you could need. The kitchen has a great stove and all the small appliances. The lounge is a great place to relax. I loved that there are two bathrooms. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, and the bedding was good. No towels, so bring your own. We did not use any of the facilities on the park as we were travelling around all day. However, the people seemed friendly and the park is well maintained. Could use some trees though. Saltcoats is a lovely place and so are many of the other towns around. We loved our stay and Steven is a great host.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at no 1 Eaglecroft lodge , it’s cosy relaxed and beautiful style was a true home from home , everything was just perfect , more than we expected, and we enjoyed every single day , we would love to return in the very near future , as we know and love the area so well , and we are already planning and looking forward to coming back to the perfect cosy retreat, peaceful and simply perfection , just what we needed , thank you .

Another great stay in Hazel's caravan, she went above and beyond for this trip as I forgot stuff and had a few mental moments, caravan was clean and lovely as usual, always responds quick, see you again next year hopefully x

Thank you for a lovely stay with so many kind extra touches. Really everything you could ask for and the spacious property is in such an excellent location. There is a restaurant right across the road and a super shop practically next door. We ate at The Clachan and the food was amazing. Loved seeing the donkeys on the Saturday trimming the village green! What a gorgeous place with such friendly locals! Loved the decor in the bedrooms especially and very comfortable beds. Very cosy ! Netflix etc and lots of games and books was an added bonus too when the weather wasn’t so great. The conservatory is super warm and welcoming so we ate breakfast there and our dogs just loved their stay too. Highly recommended and we will definitely book again if back in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew and Mary's lodge in Wemyss Bay Caravan Park over the Christmas period. The hosts were welcoming and took the time to explain all aspects of the lodge and its facilities upon our arrival, which was much appreciated. The lodge was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating and a great table for our Christmas Dinner which made it feel like a true home away from home. It was warm and exactly as described on Airbnb. The location was perfect for a peaceful family getaway, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a cosy and well-appointed retreat!

A hidden Gem! Exceptionally clean & well kept property. Gemma was a fantastic host and was proactive with instructions on how to access the property and switch on the water supply and heating. The caravan has every amenity you will require for you stay Gemma was great with all correspondences and was quick to offer advice when asked about the local area. Many thanks, Andy

This is our third or fourth stay at Arthur's beautiful place. Always a first port of call for my stay's in Scotland. First time staying in the family barn and it was well laid out and equipped.

We had the most perfect romantic getaway at Elena’s place. Such a cosy, comfy room with little extras given to us by the host which were hugely appreciated. The host, Elena could not have been more welcoming and friendly! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Lovely cottage beautifully done had a very enjoyable stay would thoroughly recommend.

Had a really lovely 3 nights at Fraoch. My daughter and I settled in straight away and felt comfortable. We had our dog with us and were pleased to see how dog friendly Sheena has made her cottage. The dining kitchen had plenty of space for a meal with 4 friends. The living room is really spacious and has two good sized sofas. The master bedroom is large! 😁 We weren’t expecting the “extras” and very much appreciated them. Fresh flowers were a lovely welcome too. It’s a nice (ample) cottage in a great location for us. We’ll definitely book again. Thank you Sheena.

Argyll Retreat is perfect. If you need to get away from it all, this is the place. This was our 4th stay, 2 wks this time. Me, I could quite happily spend the whole time here, just being in nature & watching the various birds & their eating habits. By the way that is a requirement of staying here, you must ensure the Bird feeders are always filled. The birds will come to tell you if you don't! Everything you need here. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, bathroom, double bedroom & store room for bags & cases etc. Lounge area is cosy with 2 2 seater settees, coffee table & TV. Best tho is the view from the window here. Looking out towards the Argyll Forest, the mountains, & wildlife. Nearest pub, The Coylet, 5 mins drive. Great food & staff, useful to book. Nearest town, Dunoon. Main rd there's Co-op & further in, Morrisons. Swallows Cafe - lovely food, can get very busy. Shops close on Monday. Boat Shed cafe, rd to Carrick Castle great food, hence gets busy. Inveraray lovely

The Old Nunnery was easy to find. Entry was supposed to be a key code lock but this was broken. We could enter but not lock the door. One phone call and Tom who was looking after the property immediately attended and arranged for a locksmith. A new lock was fitted within a couple of hours which was brilliant. The house is large and provided great accommodation for the family. We were comprised of adults and older teens giving them space to socialise and play games but also space for everyone to watch a film together. Huge kitchen and dining room perfect as we took all our meals together creating a very special Christmas. We were 15 in total and it did not feel crowded.the kitchen has lots of crockery and cutlery and a fantastic bar area. Hot tub steam room and sauna which was greatly enjoyed. There are sone artworks as mentioned in previous reviews which might not be suitable for younger children. The views are stunning and many a morning spent watching the seals. Short drive to shops

Great cosy flat, ideal for a couple (we also had a small dog). The location is very good in the centre of Tarbert ideal for exploring the Kintyre area. There are good walks nearby behind the castle especially if you have a dog. I would recommend the Cafe Ca'Dora and the Corner house pub.

Andrea’s house and garden were immaculate, and so stylish. There was everything you could need, and more, from dog bowls (we forgot ours!) to a ghd hairdryer. Not to mention the bed with built in TV and Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen was well equipped. It felt so relaxing, truly like a proper break. Already planning next visit
