This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

Luis’ place was more than we had hoped for! It exceeded our expectations in regards to the landscape, cabin space, and cleanliness. The sheets felt hotel-like and the kitchen was stocked with every dish, appliance, and product that we needed for our weekend stay. Luis was proactive in his communication, sharing all the details we needed for check-in and check-out. Fantastic place—would recommend to anyone!

We loved the quiet, peaceful surroundings, the spaciousness of the cottage, and the beautiful views from every window. We love music and spent a couple of evenings just sipping wine and listening to music through the sound system routed through the ceilings. The kitchen was beyond well equipped! Further, Donna delivered extra pellets for the stove before we had to ask, and Erik generously mitigated the problem with the hot tub. Truly special hosts who care about their guests and their comfort.

Beautiful, peaceful spot, on the beach with beautiful river view, miles of hiking trails literally a few steps away. Just a gorgeous spot to enjoy Autumn. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Hosts are very responsive. We had a wonderful week here. Highly recommend!

This was a lovely home. I would definitely come back. Hennie was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. My only regret was not being booking for a longer time!!!

We were a masters xc ski team in for some races and the House and Host were amazing. The house was cozy; they had the fire going for our arrival and the kitchen was set up to cook for our large group. The host was very attentive to help us get to where we needed to go during the snow storm, digging us out every day. The house had a wonderful character about it and made us all feel comfortably at home. We will rent this place again for our next trip/race to the area.

This home was perfect for our girls getaway! We had a great time in Lisa's home. Everything we needed was there. It's a quiet area, very peaceful and lots to do. The decor is perfect, it's a comfortable home and in a great location. Would highly recommend staying here!

The girls had a wonderful stay at the North Sky Retreat. Julie was very helpful and her house was just perfect for four people to stay, each with their own bedroom. The house was exceptionally well stocked with supplies, linen, towels and those extras you may need. Julie accommodated the dog that accompanied on this trip as well. The fresh eggs were a bonus and the free range chickens were fun to watch. The grounds were lovely and the walking path was a perfect was to take in the nature around the house. Hopefully this stay will become a tradition! Thank you!

Our stay at the cabin on Golden Lake was absolutely perfect! As always, we were warmly greeted by Cindy, whose friendly smile and attentive care make every visit feel extra special. The cabin was already warm upon arrival, and its cozy ambiance welcomed us for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were delighted to find delicious Lindor chocolates waiting for us—a sweet and thoughtful touch! The log cabin itself is absolutely charming, with its 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The terrace offers stunning views of Golden Lake, where you can enjoy ice fishing or skating right outside your door. Plus, we discovered an incredible skating trail in the nearby woods—an absolute must-try for outdoor enthusiasts. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Cindy and Desmond for making this another unforgettable experience

Beautiful, as shown in pictures. Very cozy get away! As others have noted no blinds in the windows can let in alot of sun in the morning. It would be a really nice bonus to add in a space to hang up some clothes especially upstairs, but this did not detract from the experience. We had a wonderful time! Would definitely recommend.

One of the best places we've ever stayed on vacation! The house was beautiful and kept very clean. So much character and history. Peter and Darlene were gracious hosts, very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. Would absolutely stay there again!

I udually write reviews on the host instead of the place first. But the place deserves it first. My goodness. The detail of this garage is amazing. If it was all your design Scott. Kudos to you my friend. What a great imagination you have. And the skill to bring it to life. My three friends wanted to get a night away from all responsibilities(aka wife and kids 😉) and relax. I don’t know how much sleeping we did. There was so much entertainment. It was even better than the pictures. And instructions for every. Only one thing. There was no instructions for the hot tub. I also didn’t have my glasses. So maybe I didn’t see them? Everything else in the house that needed instructions had them. Which is part of the details that went in building an awesome place like this. My three friends and I are tradesmen. All we talked about was making a place like this for our children. Scott was also amazing. He left us alone. Even though we made noise. Thank you for that Scott. We are also sorry.

We had a busy time with two family events and really enjoyed returning to the house to relax and enjoy your amazing back yard. It is truly a peaceful oasis! The children loved the pool and the adults all welcomed the evening hot tub. The flower gardens and pots are stunning. Thanks also for the lovely welcome gifts. We were very spoiled! The house was just perfect for our family. We are a family of 4 and travelled to Ottawa to meet my sister in law and mother in law- but needed a space to be able to spend the weekend all together. Monica's place is quite large and has so many unique areas to hang out, that anyone wanting a quiet space could have it. In the summer it would have been even more amazing with all the beautiful decks on the house. The beds were all comfortable and bedrooms were tastefully decorated. The kitchen was large and generally had most supplies. It was a cold weekend with a lot of snow- Monica took care of regular snow cleaning and the house/every room was very comfortable and warm. Monica was very kind and responsive to questions. We would love to stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Paul’s cottage and it was a perfect location for a March break with our kiddo and friends. From building snowmen outside, to spending time in the hot tub, to swimming in the indoor pool, there was no time for boredom! The huge dining table was ideal for doing puzzles, diamond dots, bracelet making, etc while still having lots of space to dine. The comfy reclining chairs in the living-room were the perfect spot to relax after active days. The kitchen had everything we needed to store, prep and serve our meals in style Paul is a fantastic host. Quick to check in and respond and so kind. We’re looking forward to booking the cottage again soon.

We only stayed at Melissa's place for 1 night, but it was exactly what we needed. The facilities were all very clean, including the bunkie that we stayed in. It was cool to see all of their farm animals, and they also had a lot of different add ons that you can purchase to make your trip more worth your while.

We had a lovely weekend. We got an unexpected spring snowfall but honestly it made the views so pretty. The space was cozy, warm and comfortable. The record player was a nice touch.

Had a wonderful weekend at Lisa’s campsite. The place is beautiful and you truly are surrounded by nature and wildlife! Yes, you can hear the traffic during the day, but that fades by early evening and then the amazing sounds of all the wildlife take over. I even had multiple dragon flies sit on my hand during my stay. ❤️ What a beautiful place and I highly recommend it. Thanks Lisa!

We had such a cozy and relaxing girls' weekend at this beautiful cottage! Even with a winter storm rolling through, we stayed in, made the most of the space, and especially loved soaking in the hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind. The cottage had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway, and the atmosphere was just what we were hoping for. What really made our stay special were the hosts. They were incredibly kind, so accommodating, and quick to respond; truly amazing and thoughtful hosts. We felt so welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. We’re already talking about coming back in the warmer months to enjoy even more of what this spot has to offer. Highly recommend!

This is the nicest Airbnb I've stayed at in years. Alain & Paola are one of the few remaining hosts that care about the small details and personalized touch. The place was super clean, and I'm someone with high standards. The personalized message, guestbook and coffee, tea etc. I was very happy I could being my dog as well! She loved the outdoor space to run around. I'd stay there again!

Charming, well constructed and insulated, spotless with a European vibe. Pictures don't do this justice! Super functional cottage, easy to access and amazing northern lights. Very responsive and helpful host. Would 100% come back.

This property was amazing!! it has all the amenities of home and more. The custom kitchen was absolutely gorgeous. It felt very luxurious with the granite countertops. The place was spotless and offered more than described in the description! The tiki bar was definitely a hit with everyone. The place was very private with only one neighbor. Jennifer was an amazing host and was very attentive. She went above and beyond. We would definitely come back again. We highly recommend this property.
