Our family of six stayed here visiting family over the Christmas holiday. We were very comfortable in the space, which provided plenty of room for all of us. It was even decorated for the holiday season, which was a nice and welcoming touch. The setting was peaceful and offered natural beauty, and yet we were a very short drive to local grocery stores and restaurants. James was very proactive and responsive in his communications, even over the holiday, which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed being close to Sam Houston Jones state park, which offered some nice and picturesque hikes. Highly recommended for a family spot.

Great house with a very large amount of space for activities. The kitchens are fantastic for cooking for large groups. I would recommend Doc’s. Everything was perfect.

Arranged a stay for my mom’s birthday. There were 8 of us in total. We don’t often all get together and it’s just not quite the same when you stay in hotel rooms. The home was great and offered a chance for us to all be together but to also have plenty of our own space. It was lovely to have a porch with views of the bayou - great place to have a morning coffee. It’s also well situated with grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants nearby. Great time and very grateful for the stay.

The only complaint our group had is that we could not change the thermostat upstairs and it stayed slightly warm. the house is beautiful and we loved looking out over the bayou from the balcony.

Amazing place . Don’t hesitate. Great spot only 10 minutes from the casinos . Great scenery. I will definitely book again and would rather book her place than the luxury casinos close by. Not even kidding , it was great. Thanks !

This was the perfect place for us. we were next to everything. easy to get to where we needed to go. Mark was a great host. easy to talk to. The apartment was cozy and comfortable.

Mark was responsive and prompt. The place was clean and the cleaners were prompt for turnover when we left too!

I adored staying here. The hosts have thought of everything! And they are super sweet about updating you about interesting things going on around town. My stay was excellent- I always felt safe, if I needed anything all I had to do was ask, and the cats are sweet as can be. This is a safe location, charming, well equipped place to stay. Definitely recommend- and will stay if I ever make another business venture this way.
